  1. A woman reads over the missive, Renee Caroline's eyes widening for a moment as she sees that the family she was born in had risen again. Her face falls briefly, thinking of the events that happened when she was young. She had barely known any of her family members were still alive, it had been years since she'd seen any of them.

  2. A newly wed bride stares down at the letter that was penned to her. One hand clenches, the other forced to relax if not to crumple the paper. Amaliya Falcone's voice was low, tears welling up in her eyes, "I have been around, Hauchpapej. Vy just haven't seen me. Ea met Ivan's children, Ea have seen my brothers and sister. Vy were niet around when Ea was. Ea wished vy could've walked me down the aisle, Eam sorry Ea wasn't there for vy. But Ea will do as vy wish."

She took a deep breath, wiping at her eyes. The Raev would be there to help her brother, her Hauchpapej wished it so.

  3. The foreigner in question looked over the paper, Elspaith's blue eyes crinkling with amusement at the words she read, "Aye, my dress was basic, still looked good though." She began to giggle at the other comment, "Murder nuns? Now that is somethin'. That's cool!"

  4. Blue eyes peered at the missive, nose scrunching at the insults to her friends, "Ah don' even know who t'is person is. Do t'ey expect me ta' be offended? Ah don' give a damn." Elspaith shrugged, "Ah alreadeh know Ah'm uneducated. Ah haven' lived in Oren t'is whole time."

"And t'ey didn't even spell my name right. It's Caitrin, nae Caitron. Godan." The teen promptly threw the missive in the fire, going back to working on her gowns.

  5. Blue eyes warmed at the sight of the missive, a heavily accented voice murmuring the words as she read them. Amaliya's sister and brother-in-law were home. A chuckle left her, "Decided to return now, hm? Well, Ea must see them as soon as Ea can." A beaming smile had presented itself upon the Ruthern's features, she was happy to have her sister home.

A Raev woman had travelled. Amaliya Anna vas Ruthern had left Oren after her sister’s trip. A trip her sister never came back from. Blue eyes had grown cold, regarding the world with apathy. The Raev barely cared about anyone, she had few that were close to her. And one of them disappeared. Her jaw was clenched, cold eyes looking over at the rolling fields.

Where she had gone was unknown. Amaliya let herself wander. She needed to be away from Oren, anywhere but there. So she travelled, made her way across Almaris. Dark curls spilled over her shoulders, a delicate hand rising to adjust the hat she wore. Red fabric clothed her, a riding dress being her clothing of choice nowadays. A sigh left pink lips, her eyes regarding the lands she was in.

News had travelled to her of Josef’s disownment. She needed to go home, her goal had been to make her family proud after all. Amaliya was ready to return to her goal and prove herself. It made her ponder her family life. Her mother and father, Her Royal Highness Helen Antonia and Lord Viktor var Ruthern. They didn't love each other; Amaliya had known that for years. Ever since her father had told her at age seven that marriage did not equal love. And here Amaliya was, unmarried at age twenty-three. It brought a laugh to her lips; Amaliya only planned on marrying to help the family. She had no interest in it.

News had travelled to her of Josef’s disownment. She needed to go home, her goal had been to make her family proud after all. Amaliya was ready to return to her goal and prove herself.

Her first stop was to the manor, Kositz awaited her.

  7. A certain Raev let out a chuckle, remembering the Ice Skating Ball. Amaliya had been the one to teach to young prince how to ice skate. She hums, pondering about stopping by.

Meanwhile, a young Haeseni girl peered at the missive. She hummed, nodding, "Ea will go. Ea must prepare a dress though." Viktoriya grinned, excited to support her Aedypapej's family!

  8. 4 minutes ago, Luminaire said:

"And this Viktoriya, is why ea asked vy to take notes." Jan Otto Kortrevich said to his daughter, as they were once again holed up in the Jerovitz library. A quiet room, where on the occasion one of Jan's many toddlers would storm in either way.

"Da. Eam taking notes!" Viktoriya was hurriedly writing, "Break treaty bad. Must. . tell if-" Heterochromatic eyes squinted to read the word, "dissolve treaty. ."

There was another nod from the young girl, "Should we go tell him, Papej?"

  9. 11 minutes ago, Luminaire said:

"Heh. Perhaps they shouldn't have gone back on the treaty they were nearly begging us for after all. How odd of them to refuse to reply to terms for something they came up with." He mused as he was seated within his study. "Take notes, Viktoriya!" Jan said to his daughter, who one day aspired to be a diplomat just like him!

The young Kortrevich was squinting at the words of the letter, attempting to read through them. Of course, she had to ask her father what some words meant as she was five years old. In any case, Viktoriya Irene wrote as many notes as she could- they may not have been legible to some, or make much sense, but she did her best.

With the newly-distributed missive splayed out on the table before her, Emma perched on the edge of her chair - having not quite been relaxed for some hours now. Herman, her most favourite crab, scuttled to and fro across her palm. She indulged him with a pat or two, before planting a kiss onto the grumpy creature’s shell.

Her attentions on poor Herman were short-lived, however, as her ears were soon assaulted by the endless chatter of her nieces and nephews, who had run into the room, and she was subsequently tugged up from her chair to join in with their games!

"Aedymamej! Vy are going to be a Prinzenas!" The young Viktoriya Irene was beaming as she ran to hug her aunt. She let out an excited giggle, "Con- Congratchulashions!" It took her a few moments to get the word out but she was successful!

Sadly enough, the Ruthern was not addressed by Princess Charlotte and she was outshined by her older sister.

Blue eyes read over the newsletter, a huff of laughter escaping her at this. Amaliya repeated the word, "Outshined. Nie. I have my own talents, ty sestra simply has more of a standing. That is why." She seemed more amused than anything, the Ruthern did not care to let others' opinions bring her down.

She awarded a smile though, as she saw her dear friend Eirene's piece- though it fell into a rather dull look, "Bah. At least she made things interesting. Her dress was wonderful."

"It is for the best, don't you think?" Anastasya told her sister, Amaliya, as she finished packing her things from the manor in Kositz. She had not desired to leave her childhood home so soon, but matters and worries personal to her had arisen that beckoned her to the palace.

A conversation with a confidant of hers rang again and again in her head. As the eldest, it was her duty to look after her younger siblings– especially her dearest sister. "Mother would be proud of us, for the knowledge we'll receive shall, in due time, allow us to contribute greatly to our empire."

"It is. We get more opportunities this way." Amaliya let out a hum, all her belongings packed and ready to be moved. Amaliya hadn't spent as much time at Kositz, having left for Haense for some time before her recent return. This would be for the best though.

A smile rose on her features, "Da, Mamej would be proud of us. We do what's best for our family and for our Empire."

  13. "Mamej?" The voice of Amaliya had rung through the air, oddly quiet as she had made her way home to Kositz by herself. The girl had figured her mother was busy, her eyes widening as she received the letter. A small sob rose in her chest though she pushed it away, Mamej had always said to be strong. So Amaliya would be strong for her Mamej.

Though thoughts whirled in her mind, remembering a conversation she had with her Papej a few years ago. It had been about love, though the girl's memories were faint. A few key moments had been remembered, though for now Amaliya would remain strong. Just like her mother taught her.

We at Petite Potins have been privy to rumors about a possible betrothal between His Imperial Highness Philip Amadeus, future emperor, and the founder of the Children’s Club, Lady Anastasya of the Comital House Ruthern. What a shocking turn of events! If the rumors are true, we applaud our brave founder for the greatest catch of them all, but if they are untrue, one wonders if Anastasya isn’t being besmirched by some ladies of the court who’ve taken up to bullying by seeking to make her a laughingstock when she’s revealed to not at all be our long awaited Raev-cultured empress. Regardless of the veracity of the claim, we’ve set up an interview with the lady, conducted by an anonymous reporter of the paper!

A young Amaliya vas Ruthern's eyes widened as she read this a loud "WHAT!" escaping the girl's lips. She immediately ran off to question her sister about this.
