Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Ghouls are descendant corpses that have had their spirits forced back to their bodies through necromancy. They are simpler, but far less powerful than creatures such as a darkstalker. Their bones are brittle from decay, they can be killed rather easily by fire or being submerged in water, and the process of becoming a ghoul has consequences on their minds. Ghouls lose their humanity when they're returned to life, with love and empathy being replaced by anger and spite.  

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look? 

She is simply a walking, decayed skeleton with a glow in the ribcage and behind the eye sockets.

"MAMEJ."  Maria Vilac shouted out as she barged into her mother's office, missive waving wildly in one hand. "There's MORE EVIL PEOPLE. SOMEHOW." The girl complained with all her pent up teenage dramatics, while beginning to gesture to a certain scarecrow and start rambling. "Ea bet it's all connected. It's a conspiracy at this point! Maybe it even goes back tae Mar!"

Maria Vilac stares in horror at the document. After quite a while of doing that, she questions the sexism of the guild-based restrictions and then burns all of her many law books, because nothing means anything.

A random elf reads the missive from the deck of her beached ship. "Aye... 'cause that went so well before." Charlotte hummed to herself as she toyed with an old, stolen Orenian bracelet. "Y'can't easily unite people who constantly try t'kill each other, bu' good luck tryin'." And with that, the page was thrown to the winds. 

Meanwhile in Balian, a young girl chimed in after her brother. "Ea bet it would never work... especially trying tae make one legal system work across so many realms." Maria Vilac muttered out. "But, Ari, vy could totally run tae be Empress Of Mankind." She added on as a little joke! "Ea believe in vy."

Calavénon Long Lost Ball

The Calavénon’s bring to the citizens of Talar’nor this ball to convey honour to our ancestors. The ancestors from all of Elven history that have been long forgotten over the centuries. History is not to be overlooked; no matter how harsh it may seem to look back, it is something we should learn to embrace and learn from. The Calavénon talonnii extends a cordial invitation to the populace of Talar’nor to join festivities of the ball to reach back, and connect with the people of the past with the people of the present. To watch old traditional aspects come back to life before our very eyes and watch them flourish as if they never left us.

The theme of the ball is Ancient Elven and is intended to honour our history and ancestors that came before us, and a specific dress code is not enforced. However, adorning colours and patterns honouring those who came before us in history, whether family members or past historical outfits, are highly encouraged. Examples of clothing include silver stars, charcoal and crimson lined dresses and suits, and even a sunset hued outfit to show the start of our feature that has only just begun. Creativity is welcomed and highly encouraged.

I T I N E R A R Y

A TRADITIONAL FEAST

An evening feast that shall be filled with colourful festivities, a night to remember with food and laughter to celebrate the travels of the deceased into The Spirit Realm; rather than allowing lament over the loss of loved ones. Traditional beverages and foods exclusive to only the Calavenons and Talarians will be served piping hot to all guests, and any unfortunate enough to be absent from this function would surely miss out on a whimsical array of delicious tastes.

A SHARING OF HISTORY

The core of man’s development comes from the indulgence of new experiences and an endless thirst for knowledge that lays rooted in all for the duration of their lives. However, when one is unable to satisfy this natural desire on their own, they tend to turn onto others to seek and exchange their stories and ideas together. Hence, the Calavenons are encouraging all to gather in a spectacular hall - topped with decorations, seating arrangements, and beverages for citizens to get comfortable and share with one another tales of old - whether that be the backgrounds of their family, themselves, or simply stories that have been passed to them. For all those who are eager to be educated and re-tell exciting, fascinating stories, should make an effort to show up to this exchange event.

AT TWILIGHT

As the ball festivities begin to come to a close, every participant will be given a singular candle to light and place into a lantern which will be released into the serene sky. These lanterns will travel through the celestial sphere in hopes that the grand spirit, the eldest child of The Lady of Spirits, will choose to guide said lanterns to the Spirit Realm. Traditionally, you would often find these lanterns to have messages written inside of them for those who have passed to receive, and serves as a reminder that their loved ones haven't forgotten them, and one day, shall hopefully join them.

I don't do the funni blood suck rp, and I don't play a catholic canonist gatekeeper, so idfk no what I'm talking about 

I doubt anyone would deny that it's a cool vibe to have the vampire epidemic testing thing going on, but it does really take away from some potentially great rp, and makes rping a corc go from having some funni darkspawn consequences to nearly impossible in half of all nations because of the testing

And even places like The Vale, which are famously anti-darkspawn, don't test everyone that comes their way. Plus, it's not fun for all the people who aren't spooks to have to sit there emoting how much it sucks to have salt poured into an open wound. And it's not just that you only get tested if you look suspicious, 'cause I've seen new players get tested and that just sucks

But the issue goes past this one mechanic, like someone else probably said already, so this is more like a band aid then a fix. Especially when you have to feed pretty much immediately after it just to get in the damn city in the first place


TL;DR both blood sucking and cutting people like that are very unsanitary and you should all focus on improving covid guidelines across Aevos

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

         Seers - Cozeners of Vaasek

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Seer is a deific magic given to the vulnerable and blind by the daemon Vaasek. It’s the duty of a seer to sow chaos and deception throughout the world, keeping mortals at each other’s throats to keep them away from the daemon. Seer functions around three tenets, with the punishment for breaking them being a loss of the magic. And you don’t regain your used magic slot(s) after dropping or losing Seer. The tenets are that seers cannot harm each other, cannot reveal each other or their schemes, and cannot reveal that they themselves are a seer.

Seers will come up with lies to disguise where the magic comes from, living lies that even they will believe. These lies are supported by a Seer’s casting tell, a freeform ability that lets them disguise any and all magic they wield, such as a fire evocationist making their casting appear like a blessing directly from the sun.

There are a couple more components to the magic- such as the choice to devote two slots to it, sowing people and objects, the secondsight that lets seers seer, but they’re elaborated on further with Seer’s other abilities.

 There aren’t really any other sections of the magic, aside from being granted access to more spells/abilities if you devote two magic slots to the magic, something you can only do after reaching T4 and performing the Cultivate Fallacy spell twice.

Amelia’s gaze narrowed, then, and all of a sudden patterns matching the flowery rose tattoos adorning her arms began to spread from the corners of her eyes, slowly writhing and wrapping around her purple hued eyes. 

[!] The patterns continued to move about, emitting a rose-colored glow as the bright red flowers and vines writhed and squirmed about upon her eyes until they were completely covered. The woman’s gaze began to move, then, scanning over the area as she was granted the ability to spot nearby sources of mana and heat.

Seer doesn’t really work like other magics, since there’s no lessons between teacher and student, but here you go anyways
