We had mechanical potions; they were removed for a reason. 
 

We had raid ladders, they were removed for a reason (in response to grappling hooks.)
 

Items with mechanical magic effects (i.e boomsticks) were removed for a reason.

Lets not rehash that, as I'm genuinely ready to throw old hands.
 

We haven't had another nonlinear antagonist that wasn't world ending, as again, its been done before (more than once) and it became a circle jerk for the staff in charge of it, and their friends.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Sorvians are beings made of clay and given life through a mask adorned on the back with their sculptor's blood, infused with soul essence as the incantation is drawn. A Sorvian must be made by a skilled sculptor, one who knows the ways of clay and can mold it into a sufficiently anatomical body with naught more than earthen flesh and wooden bones. Once the mask is placed upon the 'husk', the Sorvian awakens and becomes intelligent. The mask cannot be removed without killing the sorvian. Shattering the mask kills the Sorvian. Sorvians have two necessary parts: Their chest cavity, which upon being pierced would cause soul essence to leak, and their mask, which upon being shattered would kill them. Sorvians can be revived either through putting the mask on a new husk, or, if the mask is broken, replacing the mask.

What circumstances led to this ban?

I was banned for griefing a large portion of the server. I griefed half the signs on the server by abusing a bug in the sign plugin, that allowed me to edit signs in places I was strictly not allowed to edit signs. These signs could not be rolled back, resulted in their content being lost forever. This resulted in many noticeboards being ruined, many informative signs from CT and such being lost, and many empty signs that were used to decorate buildings having ugly spam text on them. This was a massive amount of grief and I am sorry for it. This can be avoided in the future by not editing any block data in places I am strictly not allowed to change the blocks- because this is considered griefing. Overall, this can be avoided by not griefing. A few months after my ban had expired I made an appeal and in my annoyance that I was denied I stupidly asked chatGPT write a new ban appeal for me to put in the 'attach other relevant information' section. Doing so decreases the trust the server has in appeals and negatively influences the forums drastically. This will not happen again, I vow to never use chatgpt in the forums, to display my honesty.

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

I want to return to LOTC to play with my friends, the Ashkeepers, and move all of my materials over to the new map and explore it. I have also served my ban length for almost twice of what it previously was- My ban expired on January 26th after being 3 months long and it is now April 21st, 2023, meaning I have served 3 extra months of ban time- half a year. I am ready to return to the server.

I am very, very sorry for all of the trouble I caused on the server, including making one of the best plugins on the server in a while have to be removed from the server due to a decreased trust in the playerbase, caused solely by me. I have been banned for an extra 3 months on top of my normal ban time and I would really like to return before the new map starts so I can finish up all of my roleplays and see the end of this character. I'm sorry for all the trouble I gave the mod team. I've participated in a few RP projects since this and haven't griefed on any of them and have been working on my behavior.

What circumstances led to this ban?

My original ban was created because I massively griefed a large portion of the server using the sign plugin to bypass the perms that disallowed people to edit regions they did not have access to. It was a few month ban and my ban appeal period opened up recently. The second part of my ban was an extension because I used ChatGPT AI to write a lengthy apology in the 'attach other relevant information' portion of the ban appeal. This can be avoided by just not using an AI to appeal bans as it hurts the appeal process and makes appeals look less trustworthy. The griefing can be avoided by not abusing bugs in the system to ruin signs that are supposed to be blank/have certain text on them, and not editing any part of a building I don't have explicit permission to edit.

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

I want to return in time for the vault move to move my stuff over to the new map. I also want to return in time to experience the end of the map with my friend group, the Ashkeepers, and make the Sorvian character I've been planning to make for a very long time, as well as teach more people this magic considering I am one of the last living people in that group and they're counting on me.

voidal magic is dumb ******* evil sorcery bullshit and it's an irreparably shitty system of magic. literally the only way to fix voidal magic would be to remove it entirely and introduce manamagic

I’m going to expand my point a little more.

Kani makes it so you can fight pretty damn excellent with your fists. It should be a trade off as opposed to a straight up buff- that’s something that LOTC likes to stick too. Currently Kani is a bit too much of a straight-up buff and banning holding metal weapons fits with the theme.

However, mina is more just a technicality. I think mina is so small and insignificant that making people not able to carry food cash is just kindof annoying- if Kani had some sort of plugin that made it IC more valuable to have it instead of mina sure.

I guess the same can be said of weapons because sometimes you’ll get into pvp.

really like 99% of all balance issues could be fixed with a simple magic plugin.

What circumstances led to this ban?

Late last year, I had mass griefed many places on the map using the sign plugin to replace many signs with the text 'I hate the palebeast'. These signs were a flagrant abuse of the plugin as I did not have permission to build in many of these areas where I had replaced the signs, ruining countless storefronts and many builds that used empty signs as backing and or decoration. I had done this right after Adelemphii had coded this wonderful plugin for us, with no thought of how I was ruining the server and destroying this plugin and all of their hard work by not properly reporting it to the admins and refraining from griefing the server. I apologize.

Afterwards I received an indefinite investigation ban which was then transformed into a 3-month ban which I have now served and now I seek to appeal it.

I disagree with no aspects of the ban. I received what I had deserved for ruining such an excellent plugin and causing mass grief upon the many cities which I have ruined. I apologize sincerely.

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

I am motivated to return to Lord of the Craft as my friends have many neat events planned and I want to see them succeed and help them finish their legacy before they are done with the server, and I as well want to see the new maps and the epic tidings this server has to offer.

I am writing this ban appeal with a heavy heart and sincere regret for my actions. I am truly sorry for the griefing I caused on the server, especially via the abuse of the new sign plugin. My actions were selfish and disrespectful to both the server and its community, and I understand how much they have negatively impacted the experience of other players, and the tech team members which had worked hard to develop the plugin.

I am aware that my actions were unacceptable and a violation of the rules of Lord of the Craft, and I take full responsibility for my behavior. I understand that the ban was for three months, and I have served my time away from the server as a result. During my time away, I have had time to reflect on my actions, and I am committed to ensuring that they will never happen again. I have also learned a valuable lesson about the importance of respecting the rules of online communities and being considerate towards other players.

I am appealing for a second chance to return to Lord of the Craft, and I promise to be a responsible and respectful member of the community going forward. I understand that my actions may have caused harm to the server and its players, and I am willing to make amends by working with the staff and other players to restore any damage I may have caused.
