A particular elven sir takes up the notice, looking over it duly. A soft smirk adorns his lips, his head coming to shake lightly.
"Help is naught, if one does not choose to accept it."
The man then crumbles the parchment within his grasp, tossing it into his flame; more fuel for the inferno.0 -
Heck yea.

A particular elf would take up the flyer, looking over the guests invited with some smile curling his lip.
"This should be good."
He states, folding and pocketing it as he heads home to fetch his vintage.1 -

What magic(s) will you be teaching?
Alchemy
Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:
Alchemy is the study of the world around oneself, as it pertains to the signs and symbols that so often plague an alchemist’s mind. With such knowledge comes great boons and banes, causing one to become more focused upon these attributes than other unafflicted individuals. Thus being said, the practice of alchemy can be described as a trifecta, proceeding sequentially through three forms. Firstly comes Identification, in which an alchemist subjects a gathered reagent to thorough observation, often with the assistance of an ocular apparatus and through various experiments, in order to find its properties. While this grows easier with experience, an alchemist will always have to perform these rites upon unfamiliar reagents in order to extract or create using the hidden value within. This brings us to our next step, Extraction. Extraction is the act of sourcing and extricating the symbols and signs within a reagent, whether this be simple shredding and granulating, down to boiling within an outside substance or liquifying. In doing so, the symbols within are effectively split apart, offering their own unique attributes as side effects and are thus in their purest form for our next step; Mixing. Mixing is where the most outward product of alchemy comes into play, offering a plethora of effects dependent upon the various brews and recipes one concocts. To mix a product, one must consult the recipes they have developed or learned, selecting the corresponding signs and symbols provided within the extraction step to mix together into a solution with the desired effect. These can be anything from a luminescent liquid, to a gaseous purifier, to a bathtub full of healing water and everything in between. With these steps shines through the true nature of alchemy, which lies within the niche roleplay of producing the product from raw to refined, as opposed to simply manifesting something into existence without the rp dedication.
Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?
Alchemy, being one of the most versatile arts, has several additions within itself. However, this persona knows none of these, and is thus unequipped to effectively teach them. This being said, it is worth noting the various extraction methods of signs, as they differ from that of symbols. They lie within five forms beyond mundane, namely: Aether, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
Below are the listed extraction methods of the various signs.
Mundane/Signless: To extract from mundane/signless reagents, one must optionally shred, then must grind the item within a mortar and pestle, granulating such before sousing with Aqua Vitae. Furthermore, liquid reagents shall follow the same process, opting out of shredding and granulating for obvious discrepancies.
Aether: Despite the sign of Aether being one of the most coveted, its extraction method is very similar to that of mundane. The difference lies within the tools used. For example, one would trade a stone mortar and pestle for that of aurum, effectively allowing the extrication of such a sign.
Fire: Fire sign extraction is rather fitting, as one must do the same process of granulating, burning it to ash thereafter. Through this, the sign is exposed and available in the remnants.
Water: Water extraction relies upon mixture with distilled water, exposing it to heat and evaporating the excess immediately after, for roughly a day. The remaining portion will contain the Water sign.
Earth: To extract the Earth sign, one must first ingrain it with such. Mixing the substance with salt and sieving it thereafter, the remaining chunks will contain the Earth sign.
Air: Through exposure to air via shredding and drying, one can begin the process of Air extraction. Once this is complete, one can use a billows to filter off the exterior and leave only the Air sign. Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?
Anti-Pain Potion
Silas Astasel sits down within his room, moving a chair to rest beside his stained darkwood counter. Reaching below with a groan and selecting a single measure of goblin’s ivy, he rights himself. Slowly would he shred the material, placing it within the mortar and pestle and beginning to granulate. New use would be born apart the grown bonds of the once flourishing plant, death providing life in the form of a thick, smooth powder.
Setting such aside, the elf would now take up a chunk of fractal red rock and a small hammer, shattering it atop the framework of the table repeatedly until it comes to a fine consistency. Scraping it from within the table’s grain and ensuring the use of every last chunk, dextrous hands glide to mix the goblin ivy’s endurance, and the redstone’s hidden vigour into one powder.
Next selecting a flowering blissfoil, recently cut, the aheral would swiftly pluck each and every of the blue leaves from it. Placing them within a bowl and beginning the monotonous process of granulating, a tired visage would grow upon his form “Nearly there…” he utters quietly. Once satisfied with the granulation of the blissfoil petals, Silas would proceed to mix all of the creations together, evenly distributing them within the same bowl before tossing the lot into a boiling pot of distilled water.
“Closer yet.” he vocalizes, taking up a nearby stirring spoon with the reluctance of a dagger and placing it within the waters. Stirring gently and evenly, the exhausted elf would slowly bring it to a homogenous mixture. Due to the endurance, this would take roughly an hour. Once satisfied with the concoction of his creation, the aheral would tap his spoon upon the side of the pot with a few distinct clunks. “About time you came to.” he muses toward the obviously inanimate mixture before himself, quickly filling a bottle via twist-tap at the base of the pot. Corking it and headed toward bed with tired, aching steps, the man will have completed his attempts.
Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?
Jiro the master alchemist sighed, sitting down upon his stool and looking upon his newfound apprentice. “Firstly, we will begin with one of the simplest creations. Whether you wish for a quick escape or to simply be a rude houseguest, flash powder is a good start. Firstly, we will need the symbols of Light, Chaos, and Death. Assuming you’ve been studying, I trust you know which of the provided herbs contain them?” The stocky figure then offers up a bundle splaying goblin’s ivy, ponderlot, nightglow, and saffvil outward.
Albeit nervous at first, the younger novice thinks back to his experimentation on each herb. Aha! He thought, then vocalizing “Nightglow for the light, and for the other two....Saffvil. It holds both properties of death and chaos, bringing our total to two herbs, rather than three!”
Slowly would the practiced Jiro allow a fatherly smile to cross his visage, nodding “Very good, young one. Now, first comes the chaos and death. You must powderize and mix them. But it is important you keep them as dry as possible.”
The apprentice does as is asked, shredding and granulating the saffvil within his mortar and pestle, bringing it straight up and down.
“No!” the man prods, moving the students hand in a circular motion rather than simply bashing at the herb “Twist as you granulate. It will tear, and allow it to be more uniform, you see?”
And so, the student would continue with the newfound knowledge, grinding and tearing the herb down into a powder. Selecting the gray and black portions of the powder, he would effectively separate the chaos and death from the last symbol, which is set aside. Occasionally the black portions would pop into small orange gleams, dying away immediately after, indicative of their chaotic properties. Looking up to his master, the apprentice asks “What now, Jiro?”
Consulting a particularly interesting novel, the alchemist would startle upon his name being called “Oh, yes! Very good work. Now, if you will liquify the life.” without a further word, the man gestures for the boy to get to work
“Yes sir.” the apprentice responds, setting about slicing the nightglow into tiny bits. So much so, that it near resembles cilantro or a fine spice. Quickly tossing the bits into a small pot of boiling water, the liquid within the flower would begin to seep out, revealing itself. A long while passes in wait for the water to evaporate, the master alchemist nearly falling asleep when the apprentice calls out happily “Perfect!” Retrieving the now condensed portion of water and setting it out to cool, the apprentice awaits instruction
“Yes, good indeed, young one. Now..allow me your favorite color?”
“Blue, sir.” the figure says slightly uneasily “Why?”
But alas, the figure was no longer listening by this point. He was digging within his drawer, producing a small bottle of blue dye, concocted from a cornflower. “Here, lad. Mix this into the water and put the powder within.”
The student listened, mixing the blue dye in a small amount at a time before placing the powder within the mixture
“Now come back tomorrow” the aloof tutor retorted simply, coming to a stand and heading toward the upper floor of his home, known to house his bedroom. It could only be assumed for the boy to leave.
And so the boy did, returning the next day at early hours, eager to view the concoction.
The master reluctantly let him in, viewing the concoction with some happiness. His student had done it. Within the pot would lie a small amount of powder, to which he deftly took up and wrapped in small bags of paper. Offering it outward to the boy, he would state “And there you are. Don’t get yourself in trouble, now. Or at least don't say I helped. Your next lesson is in a few hours, so hurry along for now.”
Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?
If a student of mine were to powergame during or after teaching, I would reprimand them by reminding them that Feat Applications are not infallible, and that their application can and will be struck, should they not mend it. This being said, if it occurs a second time or they show any sign of intent or potential repeated infractions, I would contact LT.

I absolutely adore this lore. Mega +1. I think it has the draw and lore backing necessary to out-do wonks and the stereotype of memes. You can 100% count on a musin coming from myself. (Always been a fan of rp niche over power, regardless. The same goes for sprites.)

At least it will be very accurate rp.

"If only matters were that simple.."
Afterward, he folds the parchment and places it within his robe.
He has manners to discuss.2 -
Silas Astasel would read over the missive with quite some intrigue.
"I suppose the true trials of purity shall now commence."
After this, he folds the letter neatly and places it within a drawer.1 -

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:
Phantom are dead descendants bound to this plain after their death, remaining instead of going to the elysian. This being said, there are many types of phantoms.
Revenants: What every phantom, short of Apparitions begins as. They are often confused regarding their death, and heavily malleable emotionally. The rp that happens in this state will shape what form of phantom the character transforms into.Specters: Specters are Revenants that have accepted and come to peace with their deaths, but are often sad and somber in actions. They harbor little malice or resentment from that around them.
Poltergeist: Poltergeists are Revenants that have not accepted their death and have become increasingly malevolent as a side effect. They, like Specters, are mostly intangible, but can influence the things around them.
Gravens: Gravens are beings that are bound to the material plane through a matter of sheer passion toward a goal. They often have a one-track mind, serving their task until it is seen through. This is shown through as an ever-prevalent obsession, and is their sole task in all that they do. They are quite literally only kept in this life because of their sheer force of will on the matter, so it IS their being. To quote the lore directly, "The morality of a Graven is entirely dependent upon what it is that they obsess over, but it is assured that anyone impeding this goal will be met with either hostility, or some other means of removing them as an obstacle." These beings seem more physically normal than their counterparts, but with slightly glass-like or gelatinous skin that reveals their insides when looked upon. This being said, their skin is often tinged grey, green, or purple, along with eyes of the same, or pure white or black. Gravens are just as strong as they were in life, unable to become stronger or weaker by exercise or lack thereof. Gravens may feel a lack of pain when doing something directly in the way of their goal, but are susceptible to mundane attacks just as any descendant especially as it pertains to lingering injury. This being said, it takes 3 OOC days to regenerate a non-lethal injury or loss of limb. Aurum will affect gravens just as it would any other phantom, cutting through them easily if not blocked by armor.
Phantom Beast: Phantom beasts are animalistic phantoms driven through death based on a matter of intense passion or a duty. These are always bestial, and do not resort from descendants.
Apparitions: Apparitions are formed from mass-deaths, and are by far the most powerful form of phantom. This being said, the deaths often share a mindset but different mannerisms and characteristics. This makes them increasingly unpredictable.
Phantoms are weak to Aurum, Holy magics, and voidal fire. This being said, Gravens may don armor, but this armor will only protect from mundane blows as any normal descendant's armor would. Kani, Holy magic, and voidal fire ignore this armor. This is not to say, however, that phantoms are entirely resistant to mundane blows, and can be dispersed from a beating, just as a descendant may be harmed.
(I will be playing a graven)
Lleyn is kept through death by an oath and obsession to serve Edward Astaeroth, his former order head.
If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?
A stocky dark elf, with a slight ashy gray tinge to his skin. His eyes are a pure white, almost as if someone rolled them backwards. He often is seen in armor or robes covering his face and body, though he takes on a somber, factful personality often. He sports long white braided hair to match his eyes. He is about 6'2 in height.
Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it:

Do you agree to keep Story writers updated on the status of your magic app?:
Of course
Do you understand that if this creature's lore is undergoing an activity trial and that trial fails, you will no longer be able to play this creature and will be forced to either revert the character back to its normal form (if it was a transformative type) or stop playing the character entirely (if it is an entirely new creature)?:
Yerp
Memey RP or using this CA for subpar villain/bandit RP can lead to your app being denied, even after acceptance. Please put "I understand" as your response once you have read this part and understand the consequences.
I understand
