‘MARRIAGE TRADITIONS IN THE HANSETI-RUSKA COURT’

AT THE HAUCHMETVAS OF an Amador lady, suitors may present her with a gift containing sapphires to ask her for a courtship- with her parents’ blessing of course. Sapphires are precious gems that bear a brilliant blue hue that matches the colors of the lady’s House. To put such thought and money into a gift shows to the lady and her kin that the suitor treasures the lady. Should the lady accept the sapphires, the couple may begin a courtship.

WHEN ASKING FOR THE hand of an Amador lady from her House’s parriarch or parents, the House Heads may ask the suitor to craft an object with his own hands to present to the family. This tradition stems from the Amadors’ mercantile roots and the long line of craftsmen that came before them. The final creation may be presented to the family during the lok dinner, and the effort and dedication having gone into its craft may influence the patriarch's decision on granting the lady’s hand in marriage.

WHEN A MAN OR woman marries into House Amador, it’s become tradition for a kinsman to give the groom or bride a haircut to symbolize their joining of the family. The Amadors have long held pride in the appearances and dress of their House, and to offer to assist in the appearances of their new in-law is a way of welcoming them into the family.

IN A HOUSE THAT has long found magic and beauty within the evening sky, it is no surprise that House Amador has incorporated their love for it into a momentous occasion such as a wedding. Following the ceremony, the newly wedded couple will decorate their own star-shaped lantern before releasing it into the sky. The height the lantern soars to is said to predict the length of the marriage, with the higher it flies the longer lasting the union shall be.

AMADOR BRIDES AND GROOMS alike have taken upon the tradition of donning blue somewhere in their wedding ensemble, regardless of whether they’re marrying out of the house, or in. This may come in the form of azure fabrics, sapphire accessories, or other accents in the dress or suit. In addition, those marrying into the family are also encouraged to wear blue in tribute to their new family.

Esfir signed the lorraine for her late relative. Though she had never met him, she knew now that he had been honorable and strong, and she was proud to share the blood of such a man.

EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO, THE House of Amador was blessed with two heirs: Esfir Artemisia and her twin sister, Selyne Sosina. With GODAN’S guidance, they have both grown to be remarkable young women, and as they enter adulthood, the Viscounty of Zvezlund wishes to invite all to celebrate the coming of age of the twins.

PER HAESENI TRADITIONS REGARDING a Hauchmetvas, it is asked that no one wear the color red besides the debutantes. Additionally, any suitors wishing to court either of the debutantes are expected to make himself known to the girls’ parents: Viscount Henrik Amador, & Princess Royal Emma Anastasya, to ask for their blessing. If they grant it, he may then present the lady of his choosing with a gift containing sapphires, a gem that bears the hue of House Amador’s colors.

PER AMADOR TRADITION, BOTH girls bear a name of an ancestor. For Esfir, she is named Artemisia in honor of the Princess of Santegia and Countess-Consort of Gravelhold, Artemis. Selyne bears the name Sosina, both for the Baroness Sosina Ottina of Mondstadt, as well as the Viscount’s late sister, Baroness-Consort Poppiya Sosina of Verskaya. As they come of age, the debutantes have both learned the stories of the legacies behind their names, and will present their guests with a retelling of such.

FOLLOWING THE SPEECH, THE debutantes’ parents, the Viscount and Princess Royal, will deliver their own words to Esfir and Selyne before the guests.

AT THE REQUEST OF Selyne Sosina, guests are invited to compete in a friendly baking competition. Baking has long been a hobby of the debutante, and she wishes to share her love for it with such a contest. Entries will be judged based on appearance and taste by Esfir and Selyne, and the winner of the competition will receive a prize of 50 mina.

FINALLY, TO END THE night, it is the wish of Esfir Artemisia to invite all guests to share the dancefloor of the ballroom and enjoy each other’s company with a grand night of revelry. The first dances will be shared between each debutante and her father, but following such, music will play for those who wish to dance. However, any potential suitors who wish to dance with the debutantes must first ask permission from the Viscount.

A young Amadorian heiress, who had only heard tales of the familial infamous Bo, allowed her curiosity to get the best of her and prepared to attend!

Juniper, after receiving word, spent the rest of the day pacing. She paced her room, before her feet led her outside, to the beach. And there, she walked the sand while her fingernails dug into her arms.

Finally, Juniper stopped, and looked to the sea. A dry, bitter laugh escaped her. Was it finally over?

But nothing was over. There would be no peace. Not for Juniper, and certainly not for Sermi. The war was not over. And so, dutiful as ever, Juniper returned to Kiyoshi’s side, to comfort him should he wish. It was the least she could do.

Esfir searches all of Valdev for the best gifts money could buy for her friends!

Any missive found within Kaethul is promptly collected by Juniper and set alight.

Esfir Artemisia is about to go on a campaign on behalf of her mentor.

Juniper just about spits out her drink. “Good God- they’re remaking Oren!” She shudders.
