Growing up in the Tai-Ping District within Talon's Port, Asuna was raised in a household with strict rules ideals. Mostly enforced by her mother-- these strict guidelines led her to the idea that she always must be successful or she has absolutely failed as a person. She never developed a bond with her parents who didn't show affection or praise to their daughter. They were strict, never letting her go out, except on the Lunar Festival. The Lunar Festival is what gave her motivation to keep on with her life in her early years, she made her only friends there. The 364 days of social isolation made it so Asuna became quiet and distant as an individual. She finally had her last straw, the constant nagging from her mother finally got to her. Asuna stood up and told her mother that, she could never seem to please them. Fianlly, she got up and left on her own, never finding desperately needed success in Talon's Port. Asuna's greatest driving force is to achieve what her parents wanted her to be.
