All things in the World, the girl knew, were GOD. Everything made up a small part of Him - everything was tangible. The reason that the Peddlers were dangerous, she knew, was because they worshipped and represented absence; they wanted to resurrect GOD, and for that they had to die. 
But, she thought, gazing over the corpse, this is a contradiction - because this is not GOD.. How can something exist and not be GOD?
She remembered that she hated thinking, though, and so abandoned the puzzle.
