Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) She looks towards the voice of the elderly woman, raising a brow before walking towards her. Cordelia raises her hand and gives her a soft wave, a nervous yet genuine smile on her face. "I'm just here looking around." The brunette would answer before registering the others words. She looks a tad bit confused and untrusting, but as instructed she took a few steps before sitting on the cushion. Her hands nervously move to her skirt, as she begins to play with the fabric. "My story?" she questions a bit nervous before taking a deep breath. "I grew up to a family of hunters, we lived in a valley on the outskirts." She paused as if lost in thought before continuing, "We weren't really much but would sell our catches to the nearby villagers that was before my mother got sick." Her tone changed to one of sorrow, as her face turned saddened. "She got really sick, and since she knew it was the end she taught me the minor medical stuff she knew, and gave me this traveling bag." she would move the bag from her side in front of her to show it off. The deep blue detailing would catch anyone's eye she trailed over the embroidery with a finger before continuing. "Then she told me that I needed to start to live on my own, and make my own path, my father simply agreed before helping me pack, not too long after they both ushered me out. I don't know if it's since they didn't want me to be there any longer... or if they didn't want me to see the outcome of my mothers sickness." Cordelia took a sharp inhale as she tried to resume her thoughts, "Then I traveled, and ended up here," she finished before staring at her travel bag, regret, and worry plastered on her face.
