Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Aubron pokes the cushion with her finger before eventually sitting down, seemingly disgusted at the environment around her. "What kind of place is this? Dirty, rotting, and failing - Did your ancestors leave this place to you just to let you turn it into a dump? This is why lower races can never be trusted." Despite her seemingly arrogant nature, she couldn't help but ask- "How exactly are you keeping those candles afloat?"

From a young age, Aubron, a High Elf, has been taught to be repulsed by other "lower" races; however, she has also been taught to learn about the world and has become exceedingly curious about topics related to magic. These seemingly uncontradictory attributes rarely collide, but create interesting situations when they do. After leaving her family, she finds interest in wandering the world and learning the locals' magic.
