Lakhram Minek is known in common as “The Day of Wealth”, it is a celebration to honor the passing of another stone year. Dwarves celebrate with enormous feasts with family and with fellow Dwarves along with shows of wealth and charity.

It is said that on the day of feasting Armakak descended upon the Dwarves of Kal’Urguan during the rule of Velkan Ironborn, when the city was in disrepair and the common folk of Kal’Urguan were starving. Armakak stayed in the mortal world for two stone days, giving out gifts to poor and noble men alike. He came dressed in elaborate robes of red and gray with intricate silver gilding along the edges, always carrying a happy look on his face. Armakak smiled at the mothers of fathers inside of the slums, handing them ceremonial pouches filled to the brim with mina along with letters wishing them well being and safety. When he came to the Clan Fathers he brought them carts with barrels stacked to the ceiling of ale, along with crates of potatoes, chicken and beef. Our Brathmordakin told them to host a feast in honor of their ancestors in order to bring together the sons and daughters of their clans. Because of this generous offering a day is set aside each stone year for feasts in every clan hall, plates are to be filled with traditional foods such as tender chicken and steamed potatoes, ale and occasionally wine along with hard cider are served as drinks.

On the second day Armakak walked with a group of Dwarves from each clan to the Palace of the dreaded King Velkan Ironborn, watched with ire as he walked the bridge above the lava moat, poleaxes of the guard drawn and ready for any move made by the civilians. The elaborately robed Dwarf stopped in front of Velkan’s throne, bowing respectfully upon entrance. The King however gave him a glare, expecting this to be some sort of power play by a dogmatic Dwarf. He explained his concern to the smiling figure, who shook his head immediately at the thought. Armakak explained to the king that he is here to spread joy and goodwill to the Dwarves, nothing more. The Dwarves of Urguan, along with Armakak proposed a festival be declared in honor of him, hosted by the Clergy along with the King himself. There would be plentiful food, intense brawls and calculated gambling matches all under the generous eye of the Grand King. Velkan denied such spending, saying that the Kingdom is poor and cannot afford a day of feasting in the name of the common folk. Fortunately Velkan’s most trusted advisors and generals were convinced, and with their prodding the Lathram Minek was declared and bountiful celebrations were held every stone year for generations to come.

There are two stone days involved to Lathram Minek, the first day is called Lathram Kazamar and the second Lathram Dwedmar. During Lathram Kazamar Clan Fathers call their respective clans together for a feast, cooked by either the Clan Father himself or one of the clans best cooks. This is a time of friends and family, elders teach the young about our history and traditions while beardlings play games and listen to stories. All must eat their fill before the day has ended, or else the clan father must go and slay a buck himself in order to provide food for his family. All members of the clan are expected to help clean up the feasting table.

Lathram Dwedmar is a day where all the Kingdom celebrates, a feast is made by the Grand King along with the help of the Clergy, a sermon is said before the feast, usually relating to the importance of Lathram Minek and the generosity of Armakak. During the feast brawls, gambling, and other forms of merriment are expected. The most important part of Lathram Dwedmar is to cement comradery among the Dwarves of the Kingdom, folks of other races are welcome as well, and are to be treated as guests if they do not live inside of Urguan. On the days leading up to Lathram Dwedmar there is to be a pot placed in the town square where Dwarves can give minas, on the day of the grand feast someone dressed in Armakak’s traditional robes is to divide this money up and give it to the needy or not so needy in Urguan. Whoever dons the robes of Armakak must be a happy person, as their job is to spread good will to the people of the city.

  5. Pamphlets are spread across the Grand Kingdom with the fresh ink of the Dwarven printing press, the seal of the Grand Kingdom stamped onto the top.

    VpGKKs8.png

"With the leave of Grand King Uldar Irongut and the removal of the false Lord Regent the Grand Kingdom's people met last stone day to decide the future of our Kingdom. As each present Clan's Senators were called upon for nomination only one name was given, an unprecedented occurrence not seen since the likes of Asulon or Aegis. With the unanimous consent of the Senate then Lord Regent Midgor Ireheart is declared Grand King of all of Urguan. With the Clan's approval the Coronation then began in the middle of the Senate meeting, given the blessing all Dwarven Grand Kings have received since Anthos. The High Prophet Hogarth Irongut gave his blessing, turning to the crowd as a massive eruption of cheers came from the crowd. The Clans and people of Urguan elect Midgor Ireheart as the new Grand King, may his reign be long and prosperous. The Brathmordakin shall watch over his reign, let us hope they share our enthusiasm. Narvak Oz Urguan, Narvak oz Midgor!"

  6. By order of the Senate of Hammers of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, this edict is hereby deemed unlawful by the Articles of Urguan and is therefore null and void. We also suggest that Gauldrim Irongut refer to the following:

    Senators:

Zahrer Irongrinder, Clan Father and Representative of Clan Irongrinder

    Signed, High Prophet Hogarth Irongut

  7. Underneath the halls of the Temple of the Brathmordakin printing presses roar, printing out pamphlet upon pamphlet with fresh ink. Couriers grab stacks of them, carrying them out to Kal'Akash to be nailed up on beams inside the city, from the barracks to the taverns, the mountain city is adorned in papers and the smell of fresh ink litters the air.

"Citizens of Kal'Akash, I have written to inform you that the Grand King Uldar Irongut has resigned from his post, leaving the city in silence. This comes as a shock to all but I write to you because of a concerning matter. Before leaving Uldar attempted to appoint Gauldrim Irongut as his regent, this goes against the Articles of our forefathers, specifically the legal Articles of Urguan under Grand King Balek and Grand King Skippy Irongut. These new Articles, Uldar's creation, were written without the unanimous permission of the senate, which is a clear violation of Article Nine of the Articles of Urguan. These new Articles are false my brothers, they were written by a man with no concern for the laws of this nation, violating the document which has run our society since Asulon, the Articles of Urguan.

I plead to the people of Urguan to call this out, in the true Articles the Lord Regent is appointed by the Senate of Hammers, not the Grand King. Let us go back to the Articles that are written with consideration to the laws of Urguan, and let the Senators, who represent the Clans of Urguan, decide the Regent which shall lead this nation in the time of transition. In order for our society to function the laws must be kept, in the interest of all, the Articles are one of Urguan's most respected documents, they have stood the test of time, if they say change of them requires unanimous Senate agreement, it requires unanimous Senate agreement."

    Signed,

    High Prophet Hogarth Irongut

    VpGKKs8.png

"Citizens of Urguan, the Clergy has, as it's duty, counted the votes of this election without bias or lethargy. I ask that no matter who you supported, we remain united under the strength of Urguan, the nation of our forefathers. May Dungrimm grant this new King Strength, and may Yemekar watch over our decisions. As the people of Urguan have decided, Uldar Irongut, first of his name, shall be Grand King of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan."

-Signed, Lord Regent and High Prophet Hogarth Irongut.

"I thank you all for the patience given for the investigation, there is still much to be learned about the killers of our beloved Grand King, but I shall continue to hunt for the truth along with those kind enough to search with me. I do not feel that this break has benefited the election, tensions rise, and I would like to remind those running we are all equal among the Brathmordakin. Whoever wins shall have the approval of the people and the gods, and I pray that we shall not make the same mistakes once again. With so many happenings in Urguan and across Vailor, vote with a clear mind and a steady hand. I wish the candidates good luck, may the Brathmordakin guide us all."

The election will end in three stone days ((September 27th)). Bare in mind that only Citizens of Urguan may vote.

  13. Posters are distributed across Urguan, nailed to the notice board outside of Kal'Akash as well as in every tavern and in front of the barracks, all bearing the seal of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

"Kazahar citizens, it has come to everyone's attention that our Grand King, Skippy Irongut, was murdered by a lone assassin. While this assassin has been captured and executed, the question still remains as to who was behind this gruesome act. I realize that the stage is set for an election fit to match all of those predating it, but in light of this threat upon the stability and safety of Urguan and her people I announce a short postponement of the elections. This shall be for only a few stone days if need be, until we have come up with substantial evidence there was a group behind this or not.

While the elections are postponed I personally shall lead all efforts to investigate and identify the group who has done this, whether or not you agreed with his policies Skippy was our kin and a good friend to us all. As his cousin I cannot in good conscience let this be forgotten, that someone as powerful as Skippy inside of the Grand Kingdom can have his life ended by a group seeking fortune or power. If you have any information approach me personally, meanwhile I call upon the Head Guard Heus Grandaxe and Lord Marshall Rhewen Frostbeard to join me in investigating the murder of our king. Pray to Dungrimm that Skippy was ferried to Khaz'A'Dentrumm safely, while we still live we shall exact justice."

    Signed, Lord Regent Hogarth Irongut

  14. "Greetings bretheren of the Clergy, I would like to summarize last nights meeting for those who couldn't come. As the senate meeting was very soon after I couldn't get to the amount of focus on any particular issue that I wanted to, but we hit on the topics of my idea for a holiday, the Dwarven New Year. I will write up a more thorough idea for such and present it during the next Clergy meeting. The most talked about subject was the sudden death of our Grand King Skippy. I shall attempt to also host a funeral for our beloved Grand King sometime soon, I will make a separate announcement of such. A reminder to all those who said they would build shrines or other projects for the Clergy please do so, as I would like all of them to be finished eventually. The next Clergy Meeting is at a similar time next stone week, one of the topics for the next meeting is the paragon ship of Hiebe Irongut. I hope all those who can attend, Brathmordakin guide you."

((The next meeting is Sunday 5 pm est September 27th at the temple as always.))

  15. Personally I don't think I know many other people better for ET than Majesticowyn, his rp is great, especially his emotes. You can tell he put time into his background and his skill as an rper definitely shines through in the attention to detail he puts in his emotes or drinks his character brews. I'm not sure what happend to which he's garnered this amount of -1's but I think it's important to point out that a lot of staff have had or have right now cases of people being against them one way or another, either way I haven't seen any of it so I'm confident in giving him a +1.

  16. Another note is nailed to the Clergy's board, written in the golden ink of the High Prophet.

"Hello brethren of Da Kirkja Dverga, it has been long since the last meeting, personally I have been swamped with work as well as personal matters that take up my time. This however is not an excuse, so I formally apologize for my lack of activity in our Clergy. To atone for such I call upon a meeting next stone week in our glorious temple to the Brathmordadkin, there are many topics to discuss, as I would like to carry the Clergy onto new a new focus so that our order may continue to thrive and expand. Please bring with you your own ideas as to how to serve our fellow Dwed and the Brathmordakin, as always I shall give all Clergymen their chance to speak. I hope to see all of you there, Narvak ov Brathmordakin, until then brotherrs."

((The meeting will be next Sunday 4 pm EST (September 20th) at the temple, please be there if you have the time.))

  18. Hogarth frowns as he hears the news, climbing one of the snowy peaks of Urguan to reach the shrine to Dungrimm, placing containers filled with incense on either side and lighting them, a small smoke drifting away and into the mountain air. The Dwarf kneels at the altar, his hands pressed together and his eyes closed as he mutters a few words of prayer.

"Farewell friend, while ah meh nae ah known yeh tuh well ah valued yer friendship, yeh were ah koind person tuh meh an' most othah people en yer loife. Fer such yeh shall beh rewarded en teh aftahloife, meh Dungrimm fareh yeh tuh peace an' safeteh en teh 'alls ah yer ancestors. Grond Salez Nir Kraviil Nak." He finishes, sitting there quietly until the incense burns out, sighing as he walks back down the mountain, returning to his daily life.

  19. Written in grand ink new parchments are spread across the Dwarven kingdom, hung up on the guard posts and taverns of the Dwarven lands. All of them showcasing the same message, the smell of freshly pressed ink adorning them.

    "Dwed of the Grand Kingdom,

I would like to invite all of you, young or old, scholars or warriors to the second sermon hosted by Da Kirkja Dverga in Vailor. The topic shall be an important one, based on current events that I feel are dire to each and every Dwarf. I would especially like my fellow disciples in Da Kirkja Dverga to attend, as you are the ones who listen to our gods words the most, and are pledged to their service. Unlike our first sermon the temple is fully outfitted with seating thanks to an anonymous builder. The topic I, the High Prophet, shall be discussing is the evil of Khorvad, particularly what I feel is his corruption among the descendants. The gathering shall occur in a few stone days, thank you to all who attend in advance. -Signed, Hogarth Irongut."

((The sermon will be this Saturday September 5th, at around the time of 3 PM EST. For those of you who don't know where the temple is it is above Kal'Akash at the cords X-3115, Z-1900.))
