An excerpt from Sage Okonkwo's Journal, at his arrival at Haven.
"For though my soul disputes well with my sense that this may be some error, but no madness, yet doth this accident and flood of misfortune so far exceed all instance, all discourse, that I am ready to distrust mine eyes and wrangle with my reason that persuades me to any other trust but that I am mad- or else the other sages are . Yet if 'twere so, why was I left alone. Alas what it may be come undead, into the list, and beget me to the death."
My fellow sages have been called away by Aeriel but I have chosen to remain among you. With their leaving with Aeriel our strength was yes diminished. With their magic gone I am afraid that Iblees will soon move to cover this world in darkness. We ascended though will adapt to fight this cause. We will become the light in this world. When all is well we will exist but you shall not see us, when undead move about the land like smoke, we shall appear amongst them for combat, and if darkness shall ever cover this land our light will be seen as we protect you. We have changed our way of appearance. Unless one is in need we move about the land like any other, unnoticeable among the masses. When the time is most dire though, we shall dawn our robes and appear along your side."
