  2. *The real Doomforged Crest*

Dormin Doomforged, clan father of the Doomforged Clan, goes around the cities, posting a sign in each for all to read.

“This Dor fellow I’ve never heard about; he’s claiming he’s the last Doomforged, but he’s not a Doomforged at all! If you see him, out of respect for Urir and his children, denounce him! He is not a Doomforged, he’s just some random stark raving mad black dwarf claiming to be!

Whatever the case, he is now exiled from using the Doomforged Clan Name, as he tried to go around me and me children to claim himself above!

-Dormin Doomforged, Son of Hodir, Grandson of Urir Ireheart.

  3. This looks good, but Velian, Velias, Velianus sounds so wrong, because you’re using the word veli, which looks more akin to modern language inflexions, more latin inflexions would be, phonetically, at least, Belli, like the word Bellum (War). So I’d suggest changing the name of the culture itself, since it seems not to belong to a latin (or flexio in roleplay) speaking culture, but some fantasy elven like thingie. I could help you come up with a name, add me on discord chaotikal#9282

  4. Mogroka shattered my world with those new points.

I still am going to +1 this, but definitely keep Sultan’s points in mind! I think many races have niche religions and deities and such, and I think this would only enhance your rp, and saying it only fits a small group of people is a stupid reason, given that all deities only affect a small ammount of people. (Tahariae, Xan, Aspectism, and many other deities that have group-locked magic.)

Lores been rewritten too many times. It was much simpler and better with it's original lore from aegis.

Yup, Runesmithings having the same trouble, overwriting is ****, underwriting is also ****. I liked it when we had soulbound golems, the rules were so simple and easy to enjoy.

The problem here is golemancy's shoddy lore and the extensive amount of creative freedom (borderline DM-like power) ET are commonly 'allowed'. This is something Flam and Xarkly would have to look at and discuss albeit I'm sure both would be willing to more closely relate and interweave the teams.

    Blame 501's meddling with it.

The lore was fine until the dizzy rewrite to account for the shitty eventline in Athera, in which they added all kinds of golems, some being identical to each other, only to muddle up the lore. On that note, only a dwarf LM should be allowed to rework it, given that it is intrinsically a dwarven thing and hinges on very old, dated but relevant lore from Aegis and Asulon.

((Just FYI, there's only like 3 warhammer words in it, and those were the ones from the old Aegisian Language that I had to grandfather into the new one. 99% of it is complete original work done by me and the entire dwarf community, since any and all players can contribute words to the language as they see fit.

Also yeah, Ziko wanted greece, but no, Ziko is Bulgarian (if I remember correctly), but this is cool, Holm has a drastically different culture, architecture from traditional dwarf stuff, this doesn't feel off, but you might put off other dwarves who like the original language. Still, as an "optional" flavor to the Holmite Culture, it isn't bad.)

  8. If you plan on posting more of these, you should compile them under a master caedweni thread, otherwise put these in roleplay as this is not a culture, but a part of a culture already posted here, and thus does not need its own thread. I hope you as a Forum Mod, rearranges this to be proper.

Hey, I think you're right. At the start of Axios when I got them implemented I had this dream of them being this cultist magic where we'd have an ET play Dormmar and basically flesh runes would be the goal of any member of the Black Legion. That was my vision, but Flesh Runes were an extremely minimal magic, in fact they only served as an outcome of the primary force behind them; the Rituals to Dormmar.

And ye, I'm pretty close to my Doomforged Lore. But it's a group, a family!, I don't expect you to open Irongut and let people tamper with it, as I don't expect anyone to do that to their own family lore that they've grown over the years. Personal lore like that is pretty vital to people, and when I have allowed people to tamper with my doomforged lore (And I have, in several occasions), the result has been a divergence from the original ideals, and into extreme territories that makes Doomforged less interesting!

Dwarves are the most intricate race in terms of their contact with their history, we should let all of them experience the full dwarf experience, regardless of nation or who they are ooc.

How long have you played on LoTC? Since 2011

Timezone and Availability GMT -3, available mostly on weekends, and some hours during the week.

What lore are you versed in most?

Human lore, universal culture lore, dwarf history and magic. Orc history and magic.

Give a summary of any staff positions you have held on LoTC

Been a guide in 2013, and I was a loremaster for some brief time before I was kicked out for bad behaviour in 2016.

Have you ever written lore for LoTC?

Yeah, I've written flesh rune lore, dwarf language, worked on the original iterations of golem magic and rune magic, wrote several cultures for public use.

Have you ever received a blacklist or ban?

Several bans, I believe I had a staff blacklist but I hashed that out with Kitty.

Who do you not get along with on the Lore Team?

Idunno. Probably Josh and I see different in terms of the execution of Dwarf Magic, but if Kitty's lore announcements are a reflection of the lore team's perspective, my perspective is what you need in the lore team. That no magic should be closed to scant 3-player circlejerks, with one player as leader and GOD of the magic. Other than that I think we cool.

  11. This lore is lacking compared to striga, who are not ripped off witcher as you've said, just inspired by it. Most people above have already stated so. Since Striga are already the servers vampires, I see no reason this should be implemented in its current form. Perhaps find a different niche for them that isnt being currently filled by a more comprehensive lore piece.
