Hero Application: Hi. The application below is the one I want accepted more. Read the "Hero Application:" part of it. Minecraft User Name: BoogerBuster Hero’s Name: Belias Background Of Hero: Belias Sarafand is the son of Brunhyldir Sarafand, an old Orc who served the Ascended in his young years. Brunhyldir became an Ascended, and the first Orc one, too. He did an honor to the nation of Krugmar. Brunhyldir even took such high steps to serve his people that he joined the Undead -- As a double agent. Unknown to all, Brunhyldir secretly served Riizu in feeding information about the evil Undead scourge to the Ascended, helping them gain the upper hand. Tragically, the pestilant magics took hold of Belias' father, and Brunhyldir eventually went mad. He hasn't been seen for years. Now, however, Belias is following his noble fathers footsteps. Belias has aided many in the world of Aegis, and has fought for the light all of his life. Now, he is ready to honor his father, and his nation, by reviving the Sarafand name. When Belias came of age, he gradually became known as a "wandering protector," aiding those who seemed to be in danger, lost, or afraid. Belias didn't restrict himself to the hot sands of Krugmar, either. He travelled many places, and saw many things. He was a guard of Oren, and served during the battle of the king Perea, and was at his funeral. He fought for the light at the city near Winterfall, ((forgot what it's called)), and destroyed the Undead forces there with the help of his allies. He was even at the Battle of the Betrayer, one long forgotten; the one his father was initiated into the Undead at. Only the Ascended and Belias knew of his double-agency, and Belias was very proud that his father got to serve the light even more. After his father disappeared, Belias went into deep depression. The only one he had ever looked up to was gone, and presumed to have gone mad and died. Those were dark times; Belias was uneasily guided toward more sinister things. Guraim and Ryder Bane, a few of Brunhyldir's old friends, revealed that his father once worshipped Iblees. Although Brunhyldir never again stepped into that damned path -- after he was brutally sacrificed long before he served the light -- Ryder Bane assured him that his father had actually helped the Undead. Belias took in the skills his obviously paladic father taught him and didn't believe a word they said. Belias finally realized that to best serve his father, he must return the great debts and favors that he inherited from the noble orc. He rejuvenated himself and worked even harder to serve the god who knows right from wrong, noble from sinister, great from weak. Aeriel. Belias fought more undead, ferociously bit more decaying flesh off then even the Wandering Wizard could guzzle, and recrafted what it meant to be a Sarafand. This is the story of Belias. Bask in the glory! Good Deeds: Belias has fought the Undead head on, destroying many of their forces, and even facing those who his father once betrayed. He has worked with many forces of the light in bringing peace and prosperity to Aegis. And helping a few old ladies across the street helps too. Character Flaws: Belias was scarred by his fathers disappearance; although the name Brunhyldir is long forgotten, it still haunts Belias to this day. But Belias won't let emotions cloud his judgement. He fights hard and long. Although some might think it a flaw, Belias does have an steel jaw, just like his father. But it sure does help him chew Undead bones. Hero’s Specialty: Belias is a pure Paladin, fighter of good and light, and a master in Axe to Face combat. Although his father was both a warrior and a builder, Belias has evolved in many different arts, including those even his father struggled to grasp. These include mining, cooking, and flirting. Rationale: Belias looked up to his father as a child. Brunhyldir was a great warrior, a great rolemodel, and a great father. Belias saw his success and decided that the way of the Light was the way of greatness. As soon as he came of age, he crafted an Axe and went to chopping. Of evil faces. How do you determine right from wrong: While his father was still here, Belias was guided on how to seek out danger, and how to notice safety. As a master of deception, Brunhyldir needed to know when someone was lying. He brought down these skills of judgement to his son. Belias is now also a master of deception, the families favorite art of fighting. Whenever there is a dark hooded man about, or an underground accociation, there is always a thief or traitor. Belias is a master of seeking these people out using reverse-psychology and investigation. What are your characters views on the following statements (At least 1 Paragraph): 1. Cephalus defines ‘justice’ as speaking the truth and paying one's debts. Socrates quickly refutes this account by suggesting that it would be wrong to repay certain debts—for example, to return a borrowed weapon to a friend who is not in his right mind. Justice is a totally different thing to Belias. Although returning ones debts and being truthful is always very important, Justice is really bringing peace to all who live and breath. If there is prosperity for everything in the world, everything in the world will prosper. But to answer your question, being honest and paying debts is always important. But if a debt was dangerous or unwise, like the one Socrates stated above, Belias believes it would be wise of him to return the debt. But if the "friend" starts killing little babies, Belias will do a great debt to everyone by pacifying him. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

I think too many glitches would happen with Tomb of the Aenguls and Aenguls tear. A person might move at the right time and get stuck inside the block, taking glitched damage. And we obviously have Rage of the Aengul, without the grass. I think it should stay this way because what if you do it in a town or a persons house... They'll have to replace the block. Just keep Rage of the Aengul as it is. And like I said before, Golden Hoes are the only staff right now (as far as I know), but I guess it could change so the Ascended could have the power if they wield it.

I know a thread like this was already made, but I would like a better answer then, "15 spells are being made," if you have more information. Sorry Sue. But I have some questions: First of all, when are these spells coming out? The magic update is either tonight or tomorrow, but on the wiki, nothing is added for the Ascended or the Undead. The Ascended really need more offensive spells then a fire aoe that extinguishes. I think a good way to change this spell up is to make the fire extinguish after about 10 seconds, instead of the short 2. Also, are the 15 spells that you're talking about (Sue) the ones you mentioned in the Magic thread? Because from what I know, Golden Hoes will remain the only magic casting item, leaving out all of your spells except one tier. I also have a couple spells we should obviously have. Lightning. First of all, Lightning comes from the sky, is made of light, and creates light. Yet the darkest beings in Aegis get to use it? We should at least be able to use it. We should also have a water/air blast similar to the Undeads fire spell. So finally, when are these new spells going to take effect? As far as I know, they aren't coming tonight or tomorrow.... So when? I know you probably don't have any solid answers, but the Ascended are really in need of a good magic array. Thanks.

Complaints About the Ascended [Regarding Undead Invasion]
marimbamonk replied to ABoyNamedSue's topic in Aegis OOC Archive
I agree. Our only offensive spell right now is fire that extinguishes... which doesn't do much damage unless the person gets out of the fire and stays on fire. We need spells similiar to the that of the Undead. We need a water/air attack, and possibly the ability to summon Lightning as well. Because lightning comes from light and the sky, which is Aengul power. -
I as a guard have permission to everything. (Riizu entrusted me) I can open the bank for you guys.

Complaints About the Ascended [Regarding Undead Invasion]

I completely agree. I ditto everything you said. -
Hail. As the first actual guard of Haven, I have some questions concerning the protection, gate time, and reponsibilities. Firstly, if no guards are nearby ((on)), shall the gates be left open, or closed? We do not want unwanted intruders in the city while we are away. But then again, we shouldn't close the city to everyone. Secondly, am I allowed to leave the city? Since I am going to be the only guard for quite a while, until the next 6 ascended are picked and trained, should I just stay near the city? I would like to leave occasionally, but leaving the city unguarded is unwise. Also, when and if I do leave the city, should I leave the gates open or closed? Lastly, when the boats are made, we need to have some sort of gate there as well. Once the boats are made, almost no one will be using the main gate, and any intruders will be able to slip through a guards notice when they go on and off the boat. I would recommend having a gate right on the boat that a guard must guard, or, the boat could just be located outside the city gates, and a guard can let them in there. Thank you for reading.

Ah, well as the first Ascended Guard of Haven, it is my job to keep order in the city. The Sages should not have to worry about such affairs, Hiebe.

The Scroll of Aeriel: A Record of the Ascended
marimbamonk replied to Sage_Candle's topic in Aegis OOC Archive
Lol, it's boogerBUSTER, not blaster. -
OOC: I agree with you completely. It astounds me at how many people (not just Ascended but about 80% of everyone on this server) don't use proper grammar, add periods, or capitalize. It's extremely immature as far as RP, and if you're going to take this server seriously, you have to act seriously. It's unbelievable that a person can't add a period at the end of a sentence, spell right, or capitalize their first word. I think this scroll should be given to everyone on the server, not just the Ascended. And I do hope the boats get made soon. I'm tired of missing every battle that happens. :l

Announcing the Second Ascended Class!
marimbamonk replied to ABoyNamedSue's topic in Aegis OOC Archive
Sue, so the class is at 12:00pm PST tomorrow? Does that mean 11:00 PDT tomorrow for me? Because I live in California and you in Arizona. Or would it be the same time for both of us? I don't like time zones very much. <_ -
The Scroll of Aeriel: A Record of the Ascended

My RP name is Brunhyldir, and my MC name is BoogerBuster. Could you fix it? Thanks. :P -
No, race has absolutely nothing to getting in. I was the first Orc ascended.
-
What is a wand? I am an ascended and I don't have one.

Then describe how they will be acted out on a daily basis, if they are a defining characteristic. Deception: To use trickery. This is a defining characteristic of my character. He will jump any bound to get what he wants, and that includes deception. Pride: Not believing a God has given you great powers, and you did all of your accomplishment yourself. This is a not a defining characteristic... kind of. He believes Iblees and the Undead have given him a great gift of hatred and pestilence, BUT, he believes that he does what he wants with it, and although he could consider joining the Undead in destroying all life, he does not worship Iblees. Betrayal: To turn your back on or destroy someone who was once a friend. This is a defining characteristic. Again, my character will do anything to get what he wants, and he only trusts himself. Greed: To want something selfishly. This is a defining characteristic. When my character wants something, it's probably extremely important for him, so he'll want it bad. Gluttony: A habitual over-indulgence of food and drink. This is not a defining characteristic. Sloth: Reluctance to do work, or lazyness. This is not a defining characteristic. Lust: A strong sexual desire. This is not a defining characteristic. My character still only trusts himself, and will not even jump a gap for a relationship. Hatred: Intense dislike or ill will. This is a defining characteristic. My character will kill all in his name and for his pleasure, no matter it be a random man on the street or an ancient enemy long forgotten. Wrath: A strong destructive power or anger at anything. This is a defining characteristic. My character will slaughter, destroy, murder for his own pleasure. If he wants something, he will blindly kill for it, he doesn't even look down at a body he has slain. *Is there any specific entity, person, or group of people to which your character submits completely, willingly, begrudgingly, or unwillingly? Are there situational qualifiers to this?* Kind of. My character will work with others to fufill his desire of killing and murder, but he does not submit to them. For example, if someone told me to kill someone, I would, but not for them, for my own pleasure. Then I would claim the reward and possibly kill that person. *Deep in his heart, who, if anyone, does your character believe is superior to him? Answer as an inner monologue from your character’s perspective.* "My pleasure from killing and destructivness surely derives from Iblees and his followers... But Iblees will not conquer me, I don't follow him. I kill for myself. I kill to kill." And my character has no heart. >:( *Does your character trust in himself, or does he believe his abilities are due to some other driving force? Does he boast the truth of it or suppress all hint of it?* My character DEEPLY trusts himself, and although he believes his evil derived from Iblees, he does not worship Iblees in any way. *Does your character trust the words or actions of others? Why and to what extent?* He will play along with someone (probably the Undead for they are his equals, as far as a desire for killing) if it ends up with death or murder. He will not trust them completely though, and will keep his eyes open and aware. *What situations does your character prepare for ahead of time? How does he do this?* He will prepare for battle by covering his sword in his own blood. Other then that, he doesn't really prepare. He thinks while he kills. *What, in essence, drives your character to the evil he commits most often? Are there complications that drive him to commit others, or is it the other way around?* The pleasure of killing others and ending lives. He only sees death as the only form of pleasure, seeing fear in others eyes. Is your character a villain or an antihero? What do you think the difference is? He is a pure villain. He will kill anyone, and the more killing he does, the happier he is. An antihero is someone who will kill someone who might have done something just and great, but that same thing caused harm to the antihero. I wish to play a Psychopath. I believe I am a good enough Roleplayer to do this, and I think you've obviously already seen my english is good enough to do this (especially for a 13 year old). I will progress him into an Undead (hopefully) and just let him be a crazy, undead, murderous, destructive orc. Thank you, and I hope you consider my application. Please don't think I'm a psychopath in real life... I just like playing and I want something different. I've also been waiting an extremely long time to get accepted again, and it's kind of getting frustrating :l

MC Name: BoogerBuster RP Name: Bloodsail Admiral Szpirglas Do you know how to correctly RP a robbery?: Yes. You tell them if they do not give you a specific amount of minas, you will kill them. Do you know how to correctly RP a murder?: Yes, you find someone you are an enemy of, and ask them, "Do you have any last words?" And do not attack until they say something. Why do you want to be a bandit?: I want to be a Pirate and start my own league of Pirates. I think it will just be fun. This is the first app of its kind, and I was wondering if a GM could approve my piracy, or message me on things I should add to a bandit/pirate app. Thanks!
