  2. Name: Uggg Race: Orc Age: 33 Nationality: N/A Ambition: Uggg razed in Wildz by humie. Uggg want kum play wid humiez. Uggg hate see ugliez in world and think Pale Crescent want same tingz. Skillz: Uggg orc. Wut else Uggg need sez? Humie train Uggg for dig and chop and plantz. Uggg no dummiez.
  3. The really funny part is just how many sheep play here. People that are just okay with anything that Vaq says and are basically kissing his behind here over it. I need to round all of you up and give you some "special" Kool-Aid to drink that will make us all so much smarter. And then while you're falling asleep from it, I'll recite the history of Jones juice. Patsies.
  4. It's posts like this that have had many of us teetering on leaving for a while. Just waiting for certain servers to come open. Calling people morons for falling for or not falling for an April Fool's joke? Not helping people get that warm fuzzy from being around. It's just a game? You're right, it is.. But that also means that it takes nothing for people to take one look at this, not post, and just leave. This post has been up for what? Going on 24hrs now.. And Vaq has posted at least once reassuring that its not a joke. So yeah.. sorry if I'm walking into an ID-10T form here.. but this was a last straw scenario. So go ahead and call me an idiot all you want. You're only proving another reason to leave.
  5. And another thing.. If this were to turn out to be a bad joke.. It's really bad form to not have cut it off before people started deleted LOTC from their servers lists in MC. Good luck finding players who want to start off new to this server with A. nothing and B. get banned once a month for not rerolling characters on that game lag when they lag into a mob spawner. All I can say was thanks for the time waster for the last few months. You already had numerous people on the verge of jumping ship to go to other "unnamed" servers, I don't think you'll see their posts.. you just won't see them around anymore.
  6. I'm all for hoping this IS an April Fool's joke.. but check back to one of the first few pages where Vaq apologizes for the posting on this day but that he is reassuring its not a joke. I'm personally done with this server. These changes sound like a bad impersonation of Availer come back to run the server again.
  7. OOC: In case you didn't catch the drift in the story. Yes I found a stronghold. Not sure if anyone else has found one yet, but seeing as this one was under the ocean. I just happened to be swimming around the ocean looking for an island to settle and I noticed the land formations were a bit off on the seafloor. So I started digging. And like I said.. seeing as it's this far out, and under the ocean. I'm almost positive that it's unexplored. Dunno though. I did a forum search for stronghold and nothing came up, so I figured I'd say something and do it while writing a neat little story. But if anyone else has found a stronghold I'd be interested to hear the best way to explore them. I haven't even found one of these in my single player games yet. I've been away from MC since November, so I'm still catching up on all the new stuff.
  8. When Aegis was destroyed, Uggg made it successfully onto one of the fleeing ships. However, as fortune would have it, Uggg fell off of the ship in a drunk and disorderly display aboard the bow. After all, Uggg did go from being a nothing slave in a Dwarven mine to becoming one of the single largest land owners of Aegis. And now... nothing. Reduced to a slobbering fool of an Orc aboard a ship of sobbing whelps. So one night in a slobbering speech about climbing to the top only to fall back down to the depths of disparity, Uggg fell overboard. There was nothing. Nobody. No Wizard to guide him, no Aenguls, no Daemons. Only silence. Cold unallotted darkness coupled with a symbiosis of solitude, and destitute failure. Then one day Uggg, through a visage in his chapped and cracked eyelids, started to see something that he remembered from a long time ago. Could it.. is it... YES, it's light! The sweet refreshing sounds and smells of his past flooding back into his memories. But there was something more. New smells, new visions of wilderness standing before him. Slowly but surely Uggg sat upright. Looking around very carefully, he started taking it all in. Then he remembered his journey on the ship. And all his memories started rushing back so fast that his Orc brain couldn't take it anymore. He collapsed right there, wherever it was that Uggg was laying. When he awoke this time, Uggg took a deep breath and slowly stood. Realizing that this wasn't home, his Orc survival instincts took over. First he needed weapons. Something to defend himself with, but the problem was he wasn't sure if this was where the whelps on his ship landed or if he was in a world all to his own. But as his vision steadily increased, he noticed that he was in the middle of a created structure. A small sign told him to go down the hole. Like the proverbial saying from "Alice in Wonderland", Uggg, seeing nowhere else to go jumped down the hole. When he first landed, his mind flashed way back to his days of being a Dwarven slave. It appeared to be a cave or mine of some sort. Uggg just realized that he fell into a Dwarven trap and was now going to be enslaved again. What a fitting end for Uggg to be a slave to the Dwarves in the beginning, then in the end as well. Alas, it wasn't to be. When his eyes started to adjust, it is taken in that it is not a cave nor a mine. Just a library, and in the center is a bookshelf with a sign near it. Uggg read the sign and took the book from the shelf like the sign said to do. A small feeling of relief swept over Uggg after reading the book when he realized that this was where everyone else was. Upon collecting his new soulstone, he chanted the spell and was swept off to his new home. Welcome to Asulon Uggg. Now in Asulon, Uggg decided he would make a rush to find some weapons. He needed his ax and needed it in a bad way. After all, Orcs feel naked without their weapons. So after a few attempts at trying to chop down anything, or just something, Uggg realizes that all of this land is enchanted. So he headed for the most ruthless, cunning, maniacle, cheating jerks that he could think of to look for supplies... The Dwarves. Uggg saw some sign along the path for some town called Rose Aqua or Rosy Aquilia.. Uggg didn't care. The only thing he cared for was trying to get supplies in a hurry. He found what he needed in this town, and made his way back for the entrance. When at the entrance to the town, Uggg decided it was time to go find his new estate and start prospering here like in Aegis. So standing at the entrance of this town, Uggg decided to go (not telling directions for security purposes). He walked in this same direction without fail for over one solid day. He traveled over forest, desert, snow, ocean, swamp, then finally a long swim across an ocean that was almost half a days trip just across the ocean. This is where Uggg took a break. And upon looking down he noticed the ocean floor was higher here than other areas. A lot higher. So he constructed himself a small island there buy lower bucket after bucket of dirt, sand, and cobble into the water. Then through the middle of this island, Uggg made a shaft with a ladder entrance. It was a simple idea really. Uggg thought instead of building an above ground city where it was a target, he was so far out here that nobody will ever find this new city. So he carved the shaft and erected his ladder inside the shaft. Then started carving out what will soon be a grand stair case leading to his city entrance. It was on this excavation that Uggg found wood when he was mining. Uggg may not be the smartest Orc in the business, but he knows that wood doesn't just grow underground. So he dug around some more. And sure enough, there are mining tunnels everywhere down here. Uggg did some exploring, but he didn't have enough torches to make it safely any further into the mine. But, now that he found this place, he has locked away all his items safely in his chest, took out his soulstone. And chanted the spell which created this location as his home. It is here that you will find Uggg, just barely into the borders of the Wilds. You'll find him deep under the ocean exploring these new pathways of such despair.
  9. In most fantasy worlds, the Elven cities are usually hidden. Why not make an underground forested area with a secret entrance? I mean a hidden entrance. Don't want to make it too secret or only Elves would be able to get in. Although perhaps needing to find an Elf to show you the entrance would be neat too. Doesn't necessarily need to be underground, but hidden maybe in between huge cliffs that you can only enter if you know where the entrance is. Like the Dwarf city entrance that you have to stand on the pressure plate to open up the walls, I like that.
  10. ((Okay, can someone clear this up for me? Apparently since I wasn't there, I don't understand. What was the King put on notice for? And why were the GM's angry that you put the King on notice? Maybe there were some posts deleted that I can't capture the whole picture, but from the little pieces I do have to read, this sounds interesting.))
  11. Look.. there's no need to turn this into a flame war. Yes meant age wise.. and yes you just iterated my point again with your attitude of good riddance instead of fixing the problem. I see this problem all the time with you younger generations of.. OH well it's not my issue so why should I get my nose into it? So thanks for helping the problem and you just did nothing other than show the rest of the forum just how bad of an attitude those playing Orcs can have. Now what was meant to be my farewell, this is why I'm leaving post.. has turned into a flame war because you don't like why I'm leaving. And you can come back with a quick and snappy retort, but it will do nothing more than reinforce what I keep saying here. This is my last post so flame away and call me whatever name you want. I will not be replying. Thanks for playing.
  12. It's a mute point austinpowers.. but as I explained when I gave your iron back, your MC name is long and it was taking me a while to make sure i had it all spelled correctly. but it's a mute point. like i said, it wasn't just one thing, it's been building up to this point. THanks for explaining though.
  13. Uggg has had a very interesting and lively life in Aegis. Uggg went from wandering Orc in the wildz to a wealthy merchant. Then Uggg started protecting Aegis as her right hand of justice also known throughout Aegis has the Eco Terrorist. For years Uggg as stayed at his G'Khar estate in the far North. But with only a few companions close by, Uggg decided to bring all his goods South to Alras. While on his way to Alras, Uggg met Yahgy. Yahgy and Uggg hit it off fairly well and a decent business relationship was formed. Uggg opened up a shop in Sanhar even. But, recently things Uggg has been seeing happen in the Orc nation that are so upsetting to Uggg that he has fallen ill. He has been working with an Elf and a Human as his apprentices to his empire. Uggg will soon be choosing which one of these beings will be taking over as the new owner of G'Khar and all associated stores. As well as a new fortune and a new plot of land that Uggg has worked out with the Wizard. The Orc nation is in a sad state right now, and all of you Orcs have literally killed Uggg. ((Due to increased sadness in the state of all Orcs I've attempted to RP with, I feel that in order to properly RP... It is in my best interest to leave the Orcs to their own devices. I've been teetering on a decision, but today when I was afk chatting and someone decided to try and push me off a cliff.. That made up my mind. I've Rp'd with a few Orcs that I'm not sure the stupidity was even in the RP, I think it was RL. Standing there telling me that my character sheet is not filled out for 10 minutes while following me around and yelling it is not good RP. Then following that wonderful showing up with begging me for money. Then being trapped in a house where someone tried to force me to buy iron from them or they were going to kill me. Not steal from me, you hear right, force me to buy from them. LOL. It seems that most of the younger players are being attracted to the Orcs to hunt and kill, and I'll leave it to you. This server is trying to facilitate an economy but cannot achieve this when items are being spawned. These reasons are why I've never stayed on any one server for a length of time. I hate to say it, but it's like Aegis and LotC are being left to rot and nobody seems to care. Enough ranting.. my new store in Sanhar will stay open for a few more days until I see an admin online to change my race. I'll put an advertisement out to sell my store at that point. )) Edit: I said all Orcs I've tried to RP with are horrible at it.. I take that back. There are a few and I won't call them out, but Idid enjoy RP with them.
  14. ((My name is Uggg and I approve of this story arc. Good job Sypher)
  15. There's already a topic on this. I started it. Called the Unofficial Merchants Union or something like that.
  16. You're right and like I said earlier. I understand that its not a solid plan right now, but with the right amount of thoughts put into it, it could become a really good standard. And I'm glad you posted a second time Richards because I was just about to say that if you try to undercut the Union, that we can just have one of the merchants or a spy per say that would spot it, message someone and then swoop in and snag it up, and put it in their store to sell for XXX minas. I may not be considered a top dog in wealth, but I do have a 6million cubic block estate that is ripe for mining. I'm just lacking the manpower to get in there and get at it all. I have good ideas and don't mind passing them along. So if the top merchants say wouldn't want me involved in the council, it won't hurt my feelings at all. But I think this would be an awesome way to move forward with some really good merchant only RP. I think this is called an Oligarchy but I could be mistaken.. I'll get with you whenever I see you online. I'm on at varying times 24/7 do to partially my job and partially an insomniac.
  17. HAHA EXACTLY!! and the spreadsheet can have a built in modifier to say.. input 10% and all prices adjust accordingly. So maybe Oren sets theirs to 10%, and Alras to 50% depending on the supply and demand. This could also make for some nasty merchant on merchant flame wars IC of course whenever a new merchant moves into town. Could also open up a new villain category with the ear marks of a fledgling mafia.
  18. I see both your points. Which is wherein a council that oversees the prices would come in. If someone is continually making a 20% profit on their prices, why not let us in on what they are selling/buying at? Then we can set that to the FMV.
  19. SO.. within my devious schemes and multicultural attache, I've devised a plan of action that I think would be a good idea. I think it would work well if all of us merchants from around Aegis could get our heads together and compile a list of prices for items. Prices for both buying and selling. This wouldn't be prices you'd be locked into, just prices that we'd all agree was the fair price. You could always corner the market and raise the price, but I think a project like this would help everyone get a good idea of any problems at markets. (IE a merchant selling Iron Ingots for 800minas.) Then if you spot something odd, you could always RP with that merchant and let them know that they are way out of league with their prices. I opened up a shop and was notified that my prices were way too high. This is fine. I purposefully set all my prices high so that until I figured out the going rates, if anyone bought my things, I'd make out good on the deal. I've already compiled an Excel sheet with a list of items. And started going through the Trade forums to find prices on different items. This is a headache and a half. We don't need 40 posts of these are my prices. Just maybe we can email the sheet around between a few people, get each others thoughts on the prices. Then we'd release it in (HOPEFULLY) a stickied post. Then any new merchants could take a look to see what the fair market value is. I know this will open up argument with your customers if you are the only store in half the map, but you'll just have to RP the realistic economical model of supply and demand. If you've got the market cornered. Have at it, but at least we'd have a fair market value established which can and will change depending on market fluctuations such as Aegis modifications of code dictate. Like when we lost glowstone dust. The market value obviously will go up since nobody can get anymore. (Yes I understand you can now get it again. Don't post illiterate obnoxious replies like that. Unless you have something that will add to the value of this idea, please don't even hover your mouse over the reply button. There are way too many of you that are too quick to respond to posts with nonsense such as correcting someones grammar. Here's a hint. NOBODY CARES BUT YOU! I make over a Quarter Million USD/year IRL, so your opinion on my spelling and/or grammar will not hurt my feelings and only makes me laugh harder.) That being stated, let me know what everyone thinks. I'd really like to see this idea float. I also think that with the omission of my flaming above, that a sheet such as this would work as an excellent guide for new merchants. As right now in Alras there is a merchant selling Iron for 20or25 minas and you can take that to Al'Khazar and sell it for 30minas. I mean we should all get on board with an unofficial merchants union. Not a guild, just an unofficial, "Hey, market price went up today, everyone go change your prices to make a better profit." If we kept the document liquid, we could use it as a sort of stock market. There could even be a council like OPEC that oversees the daily prices. Yes I understand that would make it so that the council would stand to make profits on other people's goods. Well kids, welcome to the real world as this is how it works too. Post your opinions good or bad on whether or not this is a good idea. Thanks.
  20. Thank you Vardak. Sporadic, Uggg will be watching out especially for where you get your lumber from. You may judge me not by the color of my skin, but only by those of my actions. I have not caused any undue harm that was not caused unto Nature first.
  21. HA.. thanks. Just trying to be a helpful neighbor, not a backseat driver.
  22. One more thing if I may add... do you mean that KillerBrekfast was thrown out? Regardless, PM me if you need a locksmith. I came for a visit the other day and you have too many chests with no locks on them. Not sure if they are important or not.. AND... I know you're still building, but you guys need some more lighting, there were way too many mobs spawning there. Of course it's been maybe 3 days IRL since I was there last. P.S. I'm not the nearest neighbor to you, that's Fasolt, but I'm North of Butcherblock @ G'Khar.
  23. Whatever you want to call it, I was only stating what I read in the forum posts of past. Point of this guys post was not to argue over the little things, it was for us to point out to him that the Orcs do get down and dirty.
  24. Oh, Uggg's not sure. Mist Veil thinks Uggg is not serious. So when Uggg comes, they hide. Then when Uggg leaves, sometimes they fix things. This time though, Uggg has started a war between me and Mist Veil. Nature's wrath must be felt!
  25. ((You know what.. being an Eco Terrorist is fun.. but after 20-30 minutes of continuous runs to the ocean to get water then back to dump it inside buildings, filling up their towers with water, and flooding all their landscape.. it really did get boring. NAH.. just kidding. I had a blast and laughed the whole time. My friend was sitting behind me checking out Minecraft for the first time and his first vision of Minecraft was Uggg the Eco Terrorist filling up an entire city with water.. I even left them a note to claim the deed as mine.))
