This Bit of roleplay has been written in novel form not in the stars ** form. Enjoy **warning- Many may not be used to my writing style.** Rorek_SteelHearts Party The night is quite. The floor of the SteelHeart Inn is covered in glass. The mice that live in the newly remodeled floor pick up the left over scraps of cake, bread, stew, and apple cores. The "creeks" of the old wood that make the Inn don't disturb any of the guests in the over packed rooms. The dark sky turns a shade of blue as the cold morning approaches the Inn. The wind picks up to carry a, much needed, shower over the land surrounding the Sanctuary. It is just enough water to help the plants through the previous two weeks of no water. The sun crawls slowly over the trees and gently touches the roof slats of the Inn. The sun peers into Roreks room and beams straight into his eyes. At that instant he is awake. Rorek sits up at the edge of his bed and slides into his day-ware. He also puts on a myriad of different wolf pelts to keep warm on this cold morning. He stands and stamps out the remaining embers in his fire place. He grabs the small leather sack of coins on the table by his bed and heads up the steps to the public part of the Inn and upon reaching the main floor mutters softly to himself in a bit of frustration,"What a mess... Aye 'ope dey 'ad fuun." He quietly steps around all the glass as he walks his way to the Inn's Pub. In the Pub he stop young elven women who works as the Inn's maid. "Vendethiel, I be goin' to walk a bit an' fetch sum bread fer te mornin' feast. W'ile I be gone clean an' squeeze sum fresh juice." Heys quietly, trying not to wake any of the guests. Mind you speaking and stepping lightly is not a natural born trait for a Dwarf, but Rorek has mastered it in the past few years of owning the Inn. He walks over to the door of the Inn and readjusts his fur pelts, preparing for the morning chill. He opens the door and the cold air rushes in, making a mess of all the scraps Vendethiel had gathered in a pile. He closes the door and heads down the road. After a short 20 minute walk he reaches the small bread stand. As draws near the man behind the counter yells, "Rorek! How are you this fine morning? I heard you had quite the bash last evening." "Aye, it wer a grand time." "Well I'm sorry I could not attend. How many loaves do you want this morning Rorek?" the man responds. "I want threh duzen." he responds as he pulls out his leather coin sack. "I thought fer ser I might be see'in Ye thar last night." The man turns around and opens a large wooden chest. The chest is lined with wool. He sifts away some wool until he reaches a burlap sac. He then pulls the burlap sac up and a rush of steam from the hot bread rushes into his face. He jumps back. He turns around again, now facing Rorek once more, he reaches under the counter and grabs a large burlap and leather sack. He stands back up and is interrupted. "Aye, I already got one." Rorek hands him a sac. The mans turns to face the bread once more. He bends down and grabs a piece of bread then stuffs it in the bag. He counts aloud. "1... 2... 3...", "39." He then place the burlap rag over the bread, closes the chest and quickly turns around. "Here you are Rorek." Rorek toses the bag of coins. "It all be in thar Remus. I don't know what I might du with outcha." In 20 minutes time Rorek is back inside the Inn. He places his assortment of pelts on the floor by the steps then heads into the Pub all the while noticing how clean everything is. All his party guests are sitting in the pub talking, drinking and eating. He takes a minute to admire the various guests that are at breakfast, Nobles, Knights, commoners and peasants alike. Dwarves, Elves, Human, Haflings and Orcs. All mixed together enjoying breakfast. Rorek takes a deep breath, "WE 'AVE BREAD!" He yells in his might dwarven voice. "VENDETHIEL! PASS THIS OUT!" Rorek walks further into the pub and begins to mingle with his guests. Rules: *post below as one of the guests. you may add whatever you like. you can talk about what happened last night or what you saw happening to other. you may speak of anything to anyone in the pub. *standard role-play rules apply i.e. no power/metagaming *one exception. you all were at the party and you do know and enjoy MOST of the guests. *this is meant to be a positive experience for everyone who joins in. *HAVE FUN!
