-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I know that roleplaying is the practice of “becoming” the character you are playing as. Taking on it's personal history, mannerisms, biases, and skills. I do not have a great deal of experience roleplaying, a few years, but I have enjoyed what little I have taken part in, on such games as Lord of the Rings Online or EVE Online. I have a good grasp of how to roleplay I have just never had much opportunity to do so.
-What do you expect this server will be like?: This server looks to be a fun group of people who are interested in having a good Minecraft experience free from griefers.

-Character Name: Thorin Elm-Hammer
-What is your Race?: Dwarf
-Biography: Thorin Elm-Hammer is a young dwarf of 87 years. He was born and raised in a small Dwarf outpost which was destroyed by Orc raiders only a few years ago. Growing up, Thorin worked at a local mining supply workshop, learning to read, write and keep track of finances. About 50 years ago Thorin became an apprentice of a local mining and metalworking master and became an accomplished blacksmith and miner. A bright future as the town blacksmith ended when Orc raiders swept down from the mountains, burning and looting the outpost. The only thing Thorin carries with him from before the destruction of his home are the clothes on his back, his clan name, and a burning hatred of the foul orcs who ruined his peaceful existence and killed those he loved. Thorin has wandered far and wide since that horrible time and has now decided to try to settle down once again. Thorin recognizes that hatred wont keep him clothed or fed so he hopes to find work mining as he plots to avenge his fallen clan, the Elm-Hammer.

-Character Personality: Thorin is a level headed and intelligent sort of dwarf and rarely seeks conflict for conflict's sake. He cares deeply for his family and friends and will stop at nothing to protect them from harm. Some may see Thorin as unconventional but his ability to analyze problems in a methodical manner has saved his life may times. Thorin's darker side is his secret desire to gain wealth and vast power, and he realizes that these ambitions might one day come into conflict with his compassion for friends and family.
