  1. Pretty much yes. I love symmetry ;)
  2. Much arches mainly with smoothstone, cobblestone and log pillars.
  3. I do get it now. But what I am saying is that you should use another word or name for it...
  4. Thank you for your application Silent Drayzont. We will come back to you when the academy is built and finished. Speaking of the academy, we have started to build the complex in the city of Aeriel. Of all the offers we got, we think Aeriel suits us the most. The city is not very central, but we can possibly make this city quite important due to the fact of us being there. With that said we are looking for architects to help us with the building. We can't accept anyone to help build since it might become chaos with too many. But those who have experience in architecture and indoor design, please give me a heads up!
  5. Wolfie, we should not speak with even more people. I think we talk to Native, see if he can set aside a good plot within Malinor. If not, we go with Aeriel. Ebs, have you gotten us permissions so we can start to build in Aeriel?
  6. Uhm, I don't get what this is coming from. I never said anything about bats or anything like that. What I am saying is that this is not really lore friendly as it is right now. I can go say I suddenly grow fur, get cat like vision and start to act like a cat and become the highly wanted cat race, but I can not, because creating new races aren't very allowed. But yes, you say this is merely a mindset or a physical disease. To that I would say: change the name of this and leave the term vampire and be creative enough and come up with something else, that would be more unique to the lore of Aegis. I never intended to flame. I see you merely flaming back to me right now. I'm just trying to get a hold of what you guys do and as I got it, it is not lore friendly when calling it vampires. I do highly like this venture you have, I can't say otherwise. BUT be creative and try to name it something else than vampirism.
  7. Great first thread. Was interesting to read it. Be ware though, spying and assassinations are quite "unnecessary" in Aegis, but might catch up a small bit with Badlands and possible new race tensions. Keep it up though!
  8. Thank you for application Pikel Boldshoulder. The application will be reviewed and with some patience, you will get a response soon enough.
  9. Mainly cobble and regular/darkwood logs. But also wool in different colors.
  10. I just want to check exactly where you think the academy should be. I think Aeriel will be a good location if we just make use of directions and signs, maybe some NPCs, so it can be easy to get there.
  11. No, it is pretty much nowhere near finished.
  12. Quite true, but this is still somehow anarchism. If everyone started to what they wanted that is not part of lore/history etc. then we would not have the Aegis we currently have, that is my point.
  13. But Vampires are not part of Aegis lore. This should be put up in suggestions for lore before being implemented.
  14. ((This is not a good idea as there are no Vampires in Aegis. I have no idea what server you are playing on, but Undead are the only "evil" creatures there is...))
  15. No students that are studying.
  16. I have no clue what Wolfie is doing, but I am not fighting over anything. Regarding teachers Jon, we will review them in due time. There is no rush about it since the school is not built and we have no students yet, so be patient.
  17. Mate, relax. I don't get why you think threats can work on us. We will have a protected area to work within, where there might be people around. We also have support from probably everyone that is sane, including the different nations (even if they don't know of us yet). If someone threatens us we can make sure everyone get's to know of this "threat". This is not about getting peoples hope up: we need a good headmaster that can run the school. Why should we not look for one? It's not that we will pick first best. I consider no one being a headmaster yet, including me and you. We should make applications and all that as much as anyone and being good professors, have experience etc. etc. You and I are merely managers right now.
  18. I don't get why stuff has to be hushhush? It's not that we are a secret organization. But ok. Regarding the curriculum, it was up long time ago by Zyn, which you approved of already back then. The headmaster position should be able to be applied for, but noone said it would be easy to get. Someone with the right credentials, the right experience and the right application could get it as well as someone that did most of the work up until now. I don't see myself as a headmaster, rather one starting the project. Sounds great. I can attend pretty much all day tomorrow I think.
  19. Sounds great. I can without a doubt say we appoint you as head librarian on the campus library, *smiles*
  20. Not yet, but I know that we will use libraries as partners and co-workers in this.
  21. The first curricula is now finished. It involves Zyn's "Basics of Aegis"-ish idea of a curricula that is a great way for new players to get introduced on how things work on LotC as a server but also what the world Aegis is. We are now looking for teachers for this specific curricula, since I think this will be a very good start for the academy. Even though the school itself is not built, teachers can start to come up with a well thought out curricula for the chosen subject. See the first post for more exact details.
  22. There should definitely be courses in business and mercantile. I think it is a good approach to get teachers, to go and ask specific persons if they wish to be a teacher. At least we might get guest lecturers. [EDIT] Business and Mercantile has now been added as a course!
  23. About money I don't think we will demand payment for taking a course. If we are going to do that it will be a minimal sum. A tip in form of money or maybe materials will bring us a long way towards what we need, but at this point we should consider if demanding payment for a course is the right way to go. However, for more advanced courses, where a teacher might have developed literature or very advanced curriculum, I think pricing a course is more sane. But right now, I don't think that those basic courses will require a payment.
  24. What major developments would that be? I haven't taken any decisions that wasn't there before. About having the academy in Aeriel is currently the must sane and obvious offer we have got so far, since Tac64 is a maniac and Sunspear won't look good. I thought that was already established... Also, why not tell me what you are doing so we can get that clarified? @Peraldon, we might add fighting to it as in a Hunting course. But this is not an army camp, so primarily we won't have fighting classes.
