  1. I hate to say it, but thieving as a profession on LotC doesn't work. It is as plain as that. I would join you without hesitation if I knew it worked, but it doesn't =(
  2. Here is some further notes that was just put among the other journals. Find the rest of the journals in these bookshelves *points*. How they lived The Dark Elves moved to live in dark forests, or more uncommonly caves and swamp areas, where the sun didnt reach. Their tree residents where darkwood trees which are unnaturally thick, which seems to point to the fact that they did also weave trees out of the soil, much like how the big trees of Laurelin are made. They did not favor wooden planks as floor, so they kept the soil and grass between their toes as much as possible. The trees where very thick down by the ground, and topped of going higher up. The Dark Elves made use of small floors in the top of the trees, but also made small underground rooms below the roots. The Dark Elves did not seem to care much for art or interior design, but they seems to have had a love for words scribbled on walls. Most of the words we find are 'Velulaei' or 'mare', meaning 'moon' and 'dark' respectively. All tree dwellings also seem to have some sort of balcony or window turned towards the middle of the forest. In the center of Inwe there is a small pond of water. This is now a known part of the holy groves the Dark Elves had their religious ceremonies, including the worship of the moon. An elevated altar or podium is by the pond, which might mean there was some sort of high druid leading those rituals. There has been signs of cavernous dwellings as well, but this needs more exact proof. We will see if we can pinpoint this fact. Another thing I noted is a small, small field without trees. This small field might have been the place for training. See our journal about Dark Elves and combat for further notes on that. The forest itself is very dense with the trees very close together. There are slight signs of paths around the small settlement, probably meaning that the Dark Elves did walk around much, possibly socializing with each other. See our journal Dark Elf religion and moon worship for further information on that.
  3. I think people realize that it is hard to pull this off because it is very hard to RP heists and robbings on LotC. Every victim HAVE to be online and RP back, you can not take stuff in permissioned areas meaning you can basically only work in wildlands, and you are not supposed to kill others (which makes it even more boring) since you are thieves. I would love to see all this work, but it doesn't, which makes a thieves guild not really work on LotC.
  4. That guildhouse is not up to date, as simple as that =) ((Keep checking if I am online at IGN Possut, if you want to join the excavation))
  5. I believe we should keep on the track we have discovered regarding the Orcs. I want to know why they were so territorial and aggressive around Inwe. There might be something close to the forest that they were protecting. Maybe in finishing our current excavation we can find the answers we seek.
  6. The excavation of the Forest of Inwe is getting recognized and will get magical protection from High-Prince Native himself. We thank him for that! The forest is now found and we have already established a knowledge on how the Dark Elves lived. We will update you soon on this!
  7. The poster on the bulletin board is now updated! Added different stuff including what our current project is about. Be sure to follow our process.
  8. I will happily have you in the team! I look forward to meet you and will send a runner with a message to you as soon as I can. ((Be sure to add Possut974 on skype))
  9. It should indeed be a Darkwood forest. We are currently looking for signs of a settlement right now, in such a place. I know the Dark Elves settled east, southeast of Malinor, so we will start to look there. ((Obviously, we'll create a darkwood forest, due to the fact that darkwood is not found in forest biomes, only taiga and snowy)).
  10. Both of you are of course welcome in the guild! I will talk to you as soon as I can. The first excavation we are doing is to find the mystic grove of the Dark Elves, located in the forest of Inwe (locaton of Inwe is currently unknown). I have already recovered a lot of knowledge about the first Dark Elves, mostly due to that my father was Taurnil Súrion, leader of the Dark Elves. Read this paper for the current notes. ((Add Possut974 on Skype so we can talk more))
  11. I know there are ruins, but they do not cover any known history or lore. My work here is to recover lost knowledge about the world we live in. I am glad to see that there is such interest in something this important! I will introduce you to my current and first project as soon as possible!
  12. Lovely character you got! Never saw a fisherman before

  13. I am very glad to hear this! I will seek you out shortly and maybe aid you in your work to establish your Guildhouse. I am too making a small but central base of operations for us. I have started to look for interested ones to join the Archaeologists though. It will be very interesting to work with you. Where is your guildhouse? Regards, Sting Súrion
  14. Stop making new threads. You already have one with the exact same title. Just remake the first thread with new information. Just my five cents...
  15. This sounds cool but I doubt this will work at all on LotC due to permissions. You can't open chests or tkae stuff if you don't have access in the permissions in each plot and place.
  16. *You go by the bulletin board and you see hieroglyphs and weird signs. You start to read* Archaeologists of Aegis Excavating ruins and groves to recover the lore and history of Aegis The Archaeologists of Aegis is a group that want to discover and recover lore and history of Aegis. We intend to walk around in the country, looking for signs of old life, buildings and civilizations. We are currently looking for more excavators and historians to work with future excavations. This job is volunteer work and will not give much of an income, but we do seek donations to help the cause. You don't have to work with this as a main job. Feel free to help the Guild on your free time. I am Galmir Súrion, called Sting, son of Taurnil Súrion. With my father being the late leader of the Dark Elves, I feel responsible to know who my ancestors where. With that yearning I also know that I have to help all citizens of Aegis to learn about the past. Who knows what settlements, disputes and skirmishes we do not know about? There are maybe races that we have no knowledge about... If you do support this project, please do tell and support us officially. We will probably have graverobbers destroying our work and will need help to fend these off ((the work is on non-permissioned and griefers will be around. We will need some support from race officals)). Current excavations and future projects The first excavation we went out for was the so called Forest of Inwe, where the first Dark Elves settled. The site of the small settlement has been found and the excavation has started. It is located east of Malinor, by the southernmost part of the desert. The Dark Elves moved from Malinor after a religious dispute and looked for a new place. But very soon Orcs of the desert in the north learned about the new neighbors and moved in to deal with the threat. The Battle of Inwe was imminent and the newly settled Dark Elves had to move back to Malinor. As we now know there where Orcs very close by the Dark Elves, we will look for signs for Orcs living close to Inwe. See this paper for notes on what we know about the Dark Elves and the battle of Inwe. Current team Sting Súrion ((Possut)) - Guildleader Historians Rivell Gordian ((xzpepijnzx)) Tylos ((james2k)) Excavators Freya ((Sapphireshard)) Description of the work As an archaeologist you will be looking for ancient ruins. We hope to find old settlements, war fields, religious places, maybe even libraries with ancient texts. Your work will be to find, excavate, analyze and archive our findings. If you are interested in helping this cause, then please send a note to our Headquarters (application form is found further down). It might be good to know that working for the Archaeologists of Aegis will probably not give you a very good paycheck, but that is not what this is about. The knowledge we find is a good enough pay! ((The job entails building ruins and groves and create lore and history around each site. We will need people that know or want to know more of the lore, people that can create lore for the server as well as history. Lastly, we will need a couple of good builders, that can create the different excavation sites and buildings.)) Application ((Material donations)) ((We are humbly accepting donations in form of materials or money (to pay for materials), so we can build those ruins. The list below will contain what we will be needing, now and in the future. Thank you for any donations you give!)) Mossy Cobblestone Darkwood saplings Birch Saplings Darkwood leaves Sandstone Cobblestone Smooth stone Glowstone Iron tools or ingots ((This thread is a WIP. Will be evolved in time))
  17. I am looking to make a guild of archaeologists who excavate ruins and Elven groves ((build them and create lore around them)). I believe a guild like that would fit well as a work for the monks. I would love to have a cooperation between The Guild of Monks and The Archaeologists of Aegis. What do you say?
  18. One hint for your first post: Fix all big and bold fonts! It looks plain ugly and not very nice to read. Big text doesn't make you wanna read it. It sounds all good with this guild and I would have read it all, but I did not, because of this.
  19. I want Skyrim naow!
