Percival takes out his personal feather quill, some black ink, and some parchment out to write a note in reply.
Roleplay name : Greetings, High Prince! My name is Percival, of the halfling race.

Aspirations : I may be of a short race, but I have tall goals, indeed! I spent many years in Malinor doing various activities, and I am fairly well acquainted with Raven Hold. My goals are to create a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere, gain minas and reputation for the Princedom of Malinor, and to live in peace with harmony. As a reader of many druidic texts, I would like to be more careful about how destructive industry is, while still producing.
Qualifications :
Born to a middle class family in Alkhazar, I did have an official education, but that is not where I gained most of my knowledge. Since I was a young lad, I have wandered the land as a thinker, philosopher, architect, and storyteller. My intellectual pursuits led me to spend much time in Malinor, as you can probably tell from my wordy way of speech. Indeed, I became well versed in elvish culture and architecture. As well, I believe that I could add some halfling spirit to the town with my charisma and storytelling!
Ideas? (optional) : Though I do not know if this is already in place, I would like to add some structure to the mining by employing official miners as workers of the city and princedom. I give them ranks and pay levels, depending on how much revenue they produce. Also, while most of the luxurious housing on the lake is taken up, I wish to provide more housing for those who are wealthy and wish for a quiet, serene environment. Along the lines of environment, I would also like to enlist the Druidic Order to help make sure that the mining and lumber operations are in balance with nature.
OOC: One thing I'm keen on is creating a lot of opportunities for roleplaying. Whether it be hosting a fair, to having druids inspect the town, to creating unique jobs, that is truely my ultimate goal. If I can help the town prosper, create roleplay, and drink a ton of virtual ale, then I'll consider it a job well done.
I thank you for the time spent reading my not-so-concise application. May the forest watch over you, High Prince.

Edit: OOC - After doing some intense town-exploring and talking with residents, I have a few things I would like to add. The first being that, typically, the town is very empty. I believe it is partly due to lack of shops and/or a social area. Another contributing factor is the large number of very large homes that are vacant. I'd estimate half of the lake houses are essentially abandoned.
Some residents confirmed that they would rather a bit less exclusivity as a sacrifice for more social roleplay. I would most likely give everyone a week or two notice, as the High Prince did with Laurelin, in order to see who is still present. Then I would take the abandoned land and create some less extravagant, but still nice and well priced homes.
I understand some go there specifically for the quiet rich communities, so rest assured, I would not let your serene environment spoil. Another thought was to make a very small, gated community for the wealthy.
Either way, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am working hard to decide on a good course of action for Raven Hold, despite whether I have the title of Caretaker or not.
