  1. Remove cavalry charges; although Snow Elves have recently started using them, the harsh climate they come from couldn't support horses. Instead, the Fenn would rely on a traditional foot soldier tactic.

Actually, this is incorrect. There are several breeds of horse easily capable of living in the cold, one of the most famous and adorable being the Arctic Yakut, usually found within Siberia, which survive with no shelter in temperatures as low as -60°F / -50°C.

This has been a lesson from the horse-crazy DecoLamb, have fun :D

  2. I pretty much agree.. the dwarves lose a lot of their skirmishes and the like yet refuse warclaims. With how their acting oocly with this, I dont think any on the other side will accept a warclaim due to the 'he wont do it why should I?!' mentality.

I honestly just want to see it over so that cultural development can surface again. For all the hate the snow elves get, I'd like to see them develop into something actually unique in ways other than the name.

  3. It couldn't be daily, do read the full post. The fields would be unavailable for a period of time (suggested a week), unless of course something is done to repair th land, such as druids. Maybe with this implemented we can actually see some use for druids.

  4. Do you know why the farms are always rebuilt? Because GRIEFING "roleplay" is only fun for the attackers 90% of the time.

Saying it's okay as you did combat rp with the owners is a sh#ty excuse. Again, a huge group of armored men coming along to kill farmers is fun for one side. And one side only. If meaning fun military rp was provided outside of combat for the server my views on this may change, but for now please stop wrecking crops; nobody finds it fun.

I actually don't raid. I'm someone who OWNS a farm and I wish to see this. I usually get slaughtered and injured and torn apart, and I make this suggestion. I have no military rp, no villan, I make no aggressive moves in rp, I am a willing victim.

I'm actually trying to create rp to lessen the spam of clicks.

  5. Recently as of late, with the massive wars and constant skirmishes going on, I have noticed a small theme with raids.. at least those on farmland. [These are the only ones I care enough to pay attention to.] One can pop over a fence, and roll about and stamp on the crops with no major issue, often getting a bit of rp with fellow raiders, maybe a bit if you're caught, that sort of thing..

However.. there is no lasting damage. There's so many seeds that just about every little town has an entire chest, if not multiple, of seeds. After a raid one can just trot up and replant, and all of it was undone. Really it had no effect whatsoever.

This irks me. Even if its my farm, there's such a massive plethora of wheat and bread in the server it really doesn't matter. There literally is too much food on the server. We all know this. A chest of bread can be produced in little under a day from most of the farms I see across the map.

So a passing memory slipped into my mind as I feasted upon this wonderful bacon-stuffed cheeseburger before me right now. Back when I was in Exodus.. yes I was one of the vile filfthy exodites. But do hear me out.. I noticed something they did that was actually quite pleasing to see.

    Burning and salting fields.

    Now.. this may have more points in it than my mind can pluck.. but there are a few that stick out;

    • Offers a bit more RP for raiders
    • A broadcast done during this would allow people to come and maybe get RP too
    • A salted field cannot be used, so food supply is drained by something at last.
    • Fire, wonderful fire.

    • A GM or ET member would be needed for these attacks
    • Some people will still just instant repair them
    • Burnt potatoes

On my own side I think it would be something beneficial, maybe a bit clunky here and there but overall I like to believe this would offer more for raiding than just PVP and ban reports. And I really like fire..

So.. yes. I'm going to eat my burger before it gets cold.. and I suppose its up to you all do decide if the fields should warm up..

Edit: The reason I suggest these things in this format.. is that a GM or ET would be involved and oversee it, and place a sign stating that the fields are unusable for a period of time. Say.. a week? We have so much food it could be a month and nobody would notice but meh..

A simple dated and locked sign created by said staff member on the field stating that its salted and burnt would do it, similar to the rash of signs stating when a raid has already taken place.

Edit 2: Just a heads up. I don't have a military character or a raiding character. I actually refuse to take part in them both ICly and OOCly. The most aggressive character I have just bites people in the butt. However, I still see the need for antagonism in rp and encourage it. I just don't think running up to a gate and demanding PVP is really entertaining roleplay.

  6.             Chirr'on yawns as she stretches out across the warm wood before the flames, golden eyes drifting to the freshly-hunted elk turning on its spit. Her ear flicked as she slowly pushed herself up to sit on her heels, curled hands patting lightly on the richly stained flooring as her nose twitched, the smell of roasting meat and the elves of the well maintained spice garden nearby. Truly it was a lovely thing to wake up to, the kitchen had become a lovely place for the feral 'ker to nap. Her back hunched as she rose on her palms and the balls of her toes, bobbing along in the odd, quadrupedal gate the denizens of Ker'lomi had grown accustomed to seeing her in. Soon her knuckles brushed over the soft carpet, richly embroidered in violet, crimson, and ebony, the emblem of their city delicately stitched across the fine tapestry spread on the inlaid wood.

The other residents of whom she had grown so fond of gave small calls of her name in greeting as she passed by, trotting through the stone halls carved with love and care. Her ears flicked as she heard the rush of the newly found hot spring, now flooding the open bathhouse, the scent of perfumed oils filling her nose as she headed towards the room of herself and her caretaker, knowing full well her bed would be warm and clean and wonderfully soft, as it always was.

Truly, it was a lovely little place for the feral 'ker. Honestly, if she could speak in a tongue that her civilized brethren could understand, she would speak out against the foolish elder who had done nothing more than waste his breath while others toiled without end. If she could, she would mock him as a fool, for even in her canine mentality, that is all he truly was.

  7. For everyone out there who sees this, I'd definitely recommend it should you be Australian and interested in perhaps creating an Orc. It gave me a great start into LotC in Asulon, and I can confirm that both Makka and Bow are great roleplayers just looking for some people to roleplay with. Good luck, guys!

You forgot to mention the adorable little horns of squee!

  8. Lord.. the lot of you just need to shut up and go have a snack.

Different people are different, they all have changing likes and dislikes. People will do what they do, and you cannot change them. Don't like someone's roleplay? Walk away. Nothing is stopping you from holding down W and not dealing with it. Nothing is stopping you from tapping ESC and clicking 'disconnect'

If you don't like a situation, find a way to leave. Nobody is twisting your arm to stay and deal with things. Nobody is smashing your face into the screen and yelling 'You will role play with this person or I will beat you with a trout!' There's pleanty of people on the server who probably share the same type of rp preferences as you. Just dig around until you find them, and **** up with this idiotic whimpering of 'muh pvp' or 'bweh elitist'

Its a [bleep]ing game. You're fighting over a fantasy made of VIRTUAL LEGOS.

    Get over yourselves..

  9. I'm speaking about the non-magical medical role play that once was great. where people without magic both evil and holy can help those in times of need. That is the role play I speak of in which it is being destroyed. You just shurg it off but a limp is a big thing in a rp fight as it changes how you move and how you swing your weapon. Having one eye also changes lots of things. These are all things that are just thrown out the window in a pvp fight, there are also not many people that will take a dis-advantage or put one on themselves for rp. This is why it needs to be role played out. And as for the monks they do not heal you. They put your soul into another body that is the exact state you are in before you die when they bring you back.

Apparently you didn't really read my post.. I was talking about non-magical medical rp as well. As I just said, I would assume that monks could not handle the huge influx, and do minimal healing, and send them back out with minor injuries. Injuries that they would need further 'outpatient' care to deal with. The kind that medics are needed for. I never gave a damn about the monk 'lore' because I found it cheap and rather idiotic, a get out of death free card.

    TL;DR-

Medical RP still exists, being injured still exists. I see plenty of it. You're probably just circling the wrong corpse.

  10. I can not believe you just said that pvp and military rp are the only fun things on the server. Those are the only no fun things about this server. I know I can speak for many people when I say there are /many/ other fun creative rps that you can do other than killing each other. Ok I will admit most of them take people with intelligence to do them but personally I found illusion magic rp along with clerical healing magic rp and you know even Parenting rp to be very fun and rewarding for me oocly and icly. My character adopts and Rises kids so that players that are not the best at rp can learn and work together to become productive and peaceful members of the towns they live in. PVP Is not rp and It should not be on the server. If you want to fight someone by smacking them over the head there is the duel option.

If you want to steal something be sneaky about it. Rpply find someone to make you an 'edgy' skin. scout out the target you want to hit. Interact with the locals to see when they are normally online but not home. Then hit them when they are not home. Pay off the local guard to even maybe help you into the home. Who knows.

You know what pvp does destroy, Medical Rp. As when you pvp someone they always die and the people that live have no way to know how they are wounded so the doctor's (non-magical) have no idea how to rp helping them. with rp Doctor's have a reason to be helping people and healing them as they know where they are hurt. pvp used to be the last resort again rp powergamer's, and until VAT and MAT were gone I never saw anyone mina's or die me. ever.  The Fun is in the Journey not the Destination Fellow player.

First off.. for him, that is what is exciting. He enjoys that part of rp, that is what he finds interesting at the moment. Notice how he also said at the moment. It means that he just like any other biological thing is constantly growing and changing and does not remain static.

Also PVP does not destroy medical RP. Back in Aegis I never fully accepted the 100% heal thing with wars if I was killed. I always said that I still came out injured due to the high volume of people flowing in during a huge battle. Figured the monks would get strained and push people out when they were stable and able to move, even if it was with a limp or some healing wounds. As for the living not knowing how they are wounded, they can just pm the other person to ask, or use their own brain. Its not a difficult process, using ones mind. Im sure people can unlock the mysteries of basic cognitive thought.

  11. [[Actually, orcs are not racially xenophobic like most would assume. They are culturally xenophobic. If another race comes in and lives like us, fights like us, eats like us, klomps like us, and does everything that is culturally equivalent to an orc, they are accepted as a bruddah. Granted they dont obtain as much respect as a true orc, but they are still considered part of the colloquial horde. Orcs hate weakness and dishonor, not skintone. Or at least, that's how it was in Aegis. And so far the singular human kid that skulks around acts more like an orc than a human :P]]

  12. [[Translated to common for ease of reading]]

Kroga stands, puffing softly from her pipe, "No, they do not cry. They laugh. They laugh at you, the whitewash cubs who think they know what it is to be an orc. You, who spit upon tradition, and reject the old, true culture of the orc. You who anger the spirits and walk the path of doom while you grin and assume you are right while you choke on your tainted black blood."

Shaking her head she grinned, smoke pouring from her nose, "Face it, the lot of you know nothing. You are stupidly fresh faced and think because you've past your nine moons you're adults, that you know all. But really you are just as absentmindedly incompetent and idiotic as the cubs I squelched out just a day ago. However, even they are probably more wise that you.. such stupidity takes years of practice to obtain.."

  13. Absolutely beautiful. The only thing that irks me is the grass on the 4th screenshot. For some reason the perfectly straight lines of foliage make my brain crack apart, but that's just what it does.

They honestly should have gotten you for building the map for 4.0, really beautiful.
