  2. It definitely looks interesting, however I feel like with the forgetfulness this would lead to one-dimentional characters who can do very little in terms of character development. Thus they would become very NPC-like. That is my main concern.

Also the constant comparisons to frost witches seem a bit out of place. I think this is sufficiently different to the frost witch curse that such comparisons aren't neccessary to be repeated.

  6. Looks good, I think this will make frost witches a bit more interesting as well as fix some problems that we currently have.
I would like to know, though, what will happen with the current witch mothers and that cursed ice? Will it grow into their hearts now, or will it be said that it is already their heart, just that they did not know it?

    The Kingdom of the Netherlands

After a proud presentation to the Dutch minister of defence by the admirals of the Dutch Navy, the newly completed designs for the new frigate have been fully authorised. The first of these De Ruyter Class Frigates will now go into production [3 pages]. In the mean time research is focussed on the Robotic Anesthetics [2 more pages]. However army officials are already looking at potential military applications of the technologies that were developed to make these work.

In addition to this, the Dutch Government spoke in favour of the newly proposed EU laws. Leaders speak positively about a united front in world politics, especially with the growing threat of Russia in the East and the instability in Portugal.

[X] Nay, do not provide the information of all multi-national corporations in order to prevent corporate tax havens.

While still waiting for EU response due to French opposition to a united army, the Dutch government invests money into its Universities of Eindhoven and Delft as they begin a lengthy project of researching new ways of computing and robotics as well as neural science. This aims to lead to producs that have thusfar only been science-fiction, Robotic Anesthetics, or as they would be known in pop culture: Cyberlimbs. These mechanical limbs would replace limbs that have been lost or disabled due to accidents or due to damage to the spine the ability to regain the use of those lost motoric functions. Hopefully to create a better future for all.latest?cb=20110918163924&path-prefix=en

    The Kingdom of the Netherlands

When the pound dropped after the event known as the Brexit, Euroscepticism in the Netherlands dropped drastically. Instead attention turned towards further cooperation with other European nations to create a strong currency and continental economy. The Dutch government looked into creating a tax haven similar to the City of London in Rotterdam, next to the harbour of Europort in order to draw more of the economic power from Great Brittain to the continent [[MOD PLEASE]].

Apart from speaking in favour of further EU integration, the Dutch government also spoke in favour of creating a united EU army. To initiate this process they began the research for a new type of Frigate [[8 Pages]]. As well as requestion permission and funds from the EU council to build an Aircraft Carrier to support their Union Navy.

  10. Country Selected: Kingdom of the Netherlands

    Nation Leader: Mark Rutte

Demonstrate Understanding of Nation (Bio/Facts/Info): A major trade nation in Western Europe and the world's second largest exporter of food, the Netherlands is a relatively small country with a political influence that isn't what it used to be. The nation is wealthy due to it's harbour of Rotterdam and the export over the major rivers of the Rhine and the Meuse. However it has a small military and relies a lot on its neighbours for many parts of its stability.

Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?
    ET builder

What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

Guild Wars 2, Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity, Runescape, EU4, Civ5, Guns of Icarus, Magic the Gathering, Torchlight 2, Rome and Rome 2 Total war, the Final Fantasy XIII series,

What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

I only play Vallel’Yuln Aeléyèlsa and I’m unwilling to sacrifice her to become an Actor, but I doubt that will be necessary.

What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

I think the group that my events cater to would differ per event and to what mood I am in. However I am a big fan of lovecraftian horror, which would require a group of people who don’t necessarily want to win, but are willing to make compromises.

What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

    • A developed concept: You need to know what you’re aiming for with your event and have a thorough understanding of what exactly you’re doing, so that you are prepared for however players interact with it. This is basically so you know how to guide players through your event and so that the event doesn’t fall apart when players step off the path you made.

    • Adaptability: Despite what I said above, you can’t prepare for everything, so you shouldn’t be afraid to improvise when people do things you hadn’t expected or thought of. If they find a smart way to deal with an event which renders an entire part of what you’ve prepared obsolete, that’s a shame for you, but they should still be rewarded for their cleverness.

    • Interactivity: Aside from that, this is an interactive roleplay server, people do their own thing, an ET shouldn’t be afraid to change their eventline depending on what the players do. I personally encourage it, to make the players feel like they actually made a difference.

When was the last time you saw a event?

A few weeks ago, I think. Something of Pandann’s.

What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

I have experience as a DnD DM and like to think that I’m at least a reasonably good one. Which gives me experience with creating encounters and improvising on player choices.

Why do you want to be part of the ET?

I already am. However as a builder you get some ideas you think are really cool to do as events and that gives you inspiration.

Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Raelplayer, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

    1) For 1-3 person

A near-blind old dwarf with a long, full beard walks up to people in the street and asks them to help him get to a specific place, he would lead them into a forest to a ruined building, seemingly an old manor. There he asks them to assist him with getting inside, the volunteers may take anything from the house they want, so long as he receives a specific old manuscript which will supposedly aid him in his studies. Inside the house they will find a nest of spiders, which attacks the party. After clearing the spiders they can explore the house.

Within the house they would find a safe, amongst other items, most of which being clockwork related. The safe seems to have a specific mechanical seal which can only be solved through a puzzle, clues for which are spread throughout the manor. There is a saying carved above the front door, hinting at things which can be found within mouldy books that sit upon the shelves. When the puzzle is finished the password can be entered and the safe is opened. Within lies an old manuscript, saved from decay by an airtight seal and several inches of steel.

The dwarf would take the manuscript if his helpers don't decide to take it instead. He would then pay the volunteers a small fee for their help and tell them again to take whatever artifact they want from the house.

    2) For a group of 5-10

A meteorite lands on the edge of Laurehlin, creating a crater at the base of the wall. Upon closer inspection the meteorite appears to be a supercooled lump of toxic material. Should it melt it would probably poison quite a bit of the surrounding land, possibly even making some of the big elven trees wither. The players would need to contaminate the meteorite and dispose of it.

Even after the main chunk of the meteorite was disposed of, several small shards might remain making the surrounding vegetation get sick. These plants would need to be taken care of with special attention while the toxicity is being filtered away in the soil.

    3) For a group of 20+

In Oren, a small town lies next to an ancient forest. Due to the recent rise in importance of the local noble house, the town has grown. This grown is to the detriment of the woods, as logging increases and space is made for pastures. The activity and damage on the forest's border rouses an spirit that has laid dormant for centuries.

The first thing the town's inhabitants would begin to see of the shift in atmosphere is flocks of ravens passing overhead, circling over the town. The amount of these creatures would increase as time progresses. Deep in the forest the wood of the trees begins to warp, getting darker. The woods also grow denser and harder to traverse as the undergrowth gets thicker and riddled with briars.

From time to time a whisper would seize the mind of one of the townsfolk: "Blood of wood must be paid through blood of flesh." It calls them into the woods, towards a stone table, set between the crooked roots of an ancient tree. A dagger lies upon the weathered stone and the urge to make a blood sacrifice rises.

Each time a blood sacrifice is made, the spirit is satisfied and the forest becomes less hostile. However each time the blood sacrifice is denied, the forest will grow more and more hostile. Small packs of wolves will attack the town, crops will go bad and the amount of ravens flying over the town increases.

When the town is suffering a constant twilight due to the massive flocks of ravens flying over the town the forest stirs, something big moves. The spirit has been angered to a point where it thinks the townsfolk should be punished hard. A creature of wood and emerges from the wood, ravens perched upon its shoulders, and it demands a sacrifice for the forest. If the sacrifice is given it will retreat back into the forest, but if it is denied, the creature will attack the town. It may be beaten back or destroyed, but it is merely a construct made by the spirit. And the spirit will not rest until it is satisfied or sealed away again.

The main source of the spirit's power is the weathered stone table. In order to place the spirit back into a dormant state it would have to be broken. To reach it would require a well, prepared and equipped party to fight their way through the undergrowth of an angry forest and then break the table by pickaxe. At that point the forest returns to its natural state.

This was of course the way of driving away the spirit. This did not have to be the case, though. When the spirit is satisfied and given willing sacrifices it would grow protective of the town, seeing the townsfolk as remorseful. In this case the forest might help the town with some small or big things, such as protection, or information.

How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

Until I’m either too busy to do anything or I don’t enjoy it anymore. But I don’t think that will be for a while yet.
