The Scarlet Lotus, one afternoon... He's still sitting at his table. Writing things down on his papers with his pencil, scratching his head occasionally. He hasn't said a word to anyone. His eyes haven't left the table. You ask the barmaid about him. She doesn't say much apart from that he is very polite. Goggles sit on top of his head and a scarf covers his lower face and neck. You notice three colourful vials of liquid resting in some straps on his leg. He must be an alchemist studying away at the tavern! A few hours pass and you notice that the silent alchemist has gone but what's that? He has seemed to have left a few pieces of paper. You walk over and pick them up to inspect them. They look like they've been ripped out of an ancient book of some kind. There's words written in ink and words written in pencil. Shall I try to find this man? I wonder what these papers are about! Has anyone else came across this man? To start this RP story line please message TouchMyRichard in game or me on the forum. You will be sent the paper that you picked up as an image. Rules: Your character must have access to The Scarlet Lotus tavern. Only figure out puzzles which your character can. You may share papers you find with others at the tavern. Unless you've met the alchemist in-game, you do not know him. Have fun :) If this breaks any rules please let me know. I hope people enjoy this sort of thing.

TOWN CHARTER This is also a request for a GM to change where our region is as the space is not very pleasing. We can demolish the building if you'd like. MC Name: TouchMyRichard RP Name: Artonius Village Name: Redmagnet. The University will take up most of the villiage plot. Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose? Being sick of all the war going on around him, Karlio decided to follow the rest of his family and take an intellectual look on life. For around the past 5 years Karlio has studied physics in Underholm. With only a few tables and a lot of paper Karlio managed to come up with a few theories himself, the most famous one being his Redmagnet theory. He thought to himself, "What if there are others like me? Wanting to study but haven't got the resources or help." So he came up with an idea. A University. Karlio set out with some materials and a bunch of leaflets, handing them out to anyone who passes. During the building of the University Karlio went missing, supposedly ill. He passed the deed to his friend Artonius and told him to pick up where he left of. When Artonius went to the university, it was horrible. It was next to a dock and surrounded by sand. "This is not right..." He pondered to himself, "The University should have a large open space so people can relax while they're not working." So he made this charter. What type of political system or leadership is within the village? The University will work like a school with Karlio as the head master and others following him but there is some difference. Because Karlio is a socialist he believes that everyone should have the same say as him so there will be a voting system that no-one can overrule, not even Karlio himself. The University will be split up into a few sections and each will be looked after by a deputy head. The main sections are as follows: Science and Mathematics Engineering and Construction Magic and War Tactics Language and Literature What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.) Redmagnet University will be open to every race from every nation. Here, everyone is equal. If someone tries to declare war on the University, the residents will ask help from the other nations and call on their fellow students to defend their home. Where would you prefer the town’s region be? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map). I would prefer the University to be a nice open space like a private school would be. Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc): To get in to Redmagnet University the students must have to be intelligent and/or wealthy. If they wish to learn from scratch then their family must help them with a small tuition fee. Housing at the University will be free for all students. As you are wandering around Asulon a poster flies your way guided by the wind. You stop to pick it up. Dear People of Asulon! As some of you may know, Karlio went missing and since then the university has not undergone any building. I am here to pick up the pieces. I am looking for skilled builders, miners and teachers to help build and spread the word of the new Redmagnet University. Unlike Karlio I will not go missing and leave the legacy to someone else. Attention people of Asulon! Redmagnet University is needed to be dug out so underground laboratories and a detention room can be built. Redmagnet University Still Under Construction Located in the Silversilk Desert is a new place. A place of study, peace and friendship. This is of course Redmagnet University, Asulon's first university. You may wonder why a place of such importance is not located in the secure land of a nation. The reason for this is because we want diversity. We want the best scholars from each nation, town and village to come forward and learn how to make Asulon a better place. Now this doesn't mean that we will only accept people who are clever because that is wrong. We will accept you if you are willing to learn, weather it be acedemic or not. So come one come all to this wonderful place. You won't regret it. Staff Karlio Nightfall - Founder and current Head Master of Redmagnet University. Rules Weather you like it or not there must be rules to keep the university in good standing. Both staff and students must follow the rules but there are some rules which are aimed at only certain people. Rule One: Respect - Everyone must treat everyone else with respect weather they be a different race or not. In debates everyone has the same say as everyone else, even if they are staff. When there are parties everyone is invited! Rule Two: Living Spaces - Before you have fully moved in you would have chosen which floor and room you will be in. At night you must be in your own room unless you have told staff otherwise. Rule Three: Lessons - You must attend to all of your lessons! If you fail to do so without a good excuse you will get a strike. Three strikes and you will be kicked out of the university and will not be refunded. Rule Four: Parties - We all like to lay back at some point so this university will allow parties but they must follow this rule. There is to be only one party per elven week and it must be allowed by a Deputy Head or the Head Master. Rule Five: Violence - There is to be no violence on the premises! Any acts of violence will be treated as a three strike offence! Rule Six: Visitors - If there are friends or family visiting you then you must tell a member of staff before they arrive. Visitors will only be allowed in the free dorms and the visitor's area. If a visitor is found anywhere else without permission the person they are with will get a strike. Expanding If you wish the University to expand please add your signature to the original charter here. Some things may look different, this is because the charter was made before this thread. Terms and Applying Costs Because we always need supplies and staff, we need some income. There is a small fee if you are attending a full term at the university which depends on which course you will be taking. Each term lasts an elven month.
