  1. There is no need for the poor to beg or receive charity, near Oren there is The Hill and underneath The Cave, where any may live for free if they wish to. They both provide all things people need, completely free of any cost.
  2. Lykos, Where is that again? Not because I want to destroy it so another certain Cave can gather the creatures of course, i just wish to know out of... friendship... Or something. Also, Boy, search around for The Cave, it has a few vacancies that they will probably give you one for free. They could provide you with free food and a home of your own, even attached to a monster hunting paradise. No strings attached.
  3. (( ^ This, this right here, I would like this. But if your not doing this, then at least go completely the opposite direction with insane amount of pre-checks i the guard training, to only allow the best in. Its Oren, its pretty important and its guards should be good Rpers, one way or another.))
  4. Throdo 'pparently gave it to his new gal he met like a day ago .
  5. Can a Umie kill him for the reward? Cause ah could do it if I get anything out of it.
  6. ((Isn't he posting his app wrong anyway?))
  7. Sense my room was stolen from me, Luke has given me a bed in the throne room for the time being.
  8. ^ Secretly evaluated, not knowing when they're being watched. Maybe some mock criminals doing small crimes that the guards are set up to notice, as a final test to become a guard. Example: Felix tells his trusted man to wear a hooded disguise and some way to end up meeting the recruit and get noticed. When the recruit brings him in, Felix would be waiting in the jail to tell him the truth and get the review of the guards actions from his trusted mock criminal.
  9. (( First off Kido, you know where you can farm for free anytime you want. Farms in houses decreases the amount of trade and makes big farms pointless, I like this law.))
  10. From what I know The Thervings are supplied by some elf's farm, and I supplied them before that. They need wheat for the bread they sell and then they just make the ale when people want it. Personally I think the economy is messed up because killing a spider can get you a diamond and killing a single pigman covers the cost of food for the next few (RL) days.
  11. So its also apparently our duty to protect Alras as well? They gave up their place in Oren when they decided they would not abide by its King and as such they should be left to deal with their own mess. This could very well lead to a Orc versus Human war because The Whispering Order decided it would try to kill some Orcs for no good reason. The aggression started with the Whispering Order, and if we help them now they'll only stab us in the back during the war with the orcs that would spring up.
  12. I see no point in this. The Whispering Order is gathering an army to commit treason and has attacked the Orcs on multiple occasions. Any aggression the Orcs are showing them is totally their fault and I say we just burn the city to the ground immediately instead of waiting for the Orcs to do it.
  13. (( If we wanted realistic RP the trials with judges WOULD be corrupt and so would the guard if we're going off the medieval age. Guards would be running around beating poor people senseless for almost no reason. In truth I would PREFER the guards and law system to be corrupt then to just sit there and take abuse like this.))
  14. He was a good man and a great Innkeeper, it is unfortunate I will not be able to make it to his funeral. (( Also, Gio's name is "Racingbrother" or something like that. ))
  15. From what I've seen you guards don't COMMAND respect, if people shout things about shout things about power or bag on the prison doors you just tell them to leave and warn them like a billion times that you will arrest them. You've already warned them once, either through signs or common knowledge long before they do that stuff so if they back talk you, just slap some cuffs on them and arrest them. If they fight back then they're defying Oren law and are basically dead meat. If you want some respect don't just ask for it, grow a spine and take it.
  16. Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: Procelis -How old are you?: 18 -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Usually I am in Central Time USA but I tend to travel to other timezones often. -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm usually very creative and possess a very large imagination, even if it sometimes escapes me. I tend to put a lot of time into everything I type and say, to make sure it is understood correctly. For some reason a lot of the servers I go to tend to make me admin, some even made me lead admin and I didn't abuse my powers or anything, so I'm probably trustworthy. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: My schedule is pretty hectic, but loosely so and I should be able to get on the server daily. -How long have you played minecraft?: It has probably been about a year. -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I've been role playing since before I was 10 years old. I have been in a few D&D games, I used the Rp sections of the Gaia and DragonFable forums and I've played ALOT of MMOs. In MMOs I tend to RP a lot and create my own storyline and this also carries over to free-roam single player games like Minecraft ( Valgt is a character I made a story for in minecraft ). I have also played DarkRp in Gmod but it could barely be considered RP. I understand MMORPGs and other things I've mentioned are not really serious RP, but I tend to sometimes RP in them. I understand role playing is to play as though you ARE the character and cannot use anything your character does not have (info, skills, etc.). -What do you expect this server will be like?: A real mythological world based within Minecraft's expansive limits. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have never played on a RP Minecraft server. I used to play on Flabaliki's server, but it wasn't all that fun. I was an admin on the Elosk server for a while but it shut down without much warning. I have also played and been admin on a few friends servers, but they never had many members and sort of fell apart. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: I have read through the Law (server and nation) and the Lore (through the wiki). -Name the 4 races on this server. ."Human" ."Elf" ."Dwarf" ."Orc" -How did you hear about us?: YouTube, I saw the trailer. Then i watched some game-play and it looks really fun! -Did you vote?: Yes, though i was not able to send my Minecraft account verification through the "Vote 1" button to tell the server I had voted as I have not bought Minecraft for this account name at the time i voted. -What was your favorite Law?: "Server laws: No world graffiti or vandalism" , I hate when I come on a server and see inappropriate imagery everywhere, it ruins the feeling of it being a world. -What was your least favorite Law?: "You must follow your Kingdoms Laws if you do not have an accepted villain application." I understand why its there, but really I think this is going to limit peoples choices of RP, since it's difficult to get a villain app. accepted. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? "Procelis" , but the name shown is "Valgt" . In-Character: -Character Name: Valgt -What is your Race?: Human -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Procelis -Biography: In another reality, on a world with a similar structure to Aegis but at the same time totally different as here man is the only sentient home race, and the gods are of course different. On this planet a race is wiped out, the Nords((based in loose Norse mythology)) were a powerful people and their end was seen as a tragedy by their gods. Most of the Norse gods were angry and vindictive, causing tragedies to befall the other peoples of the world that played parts in the Nord's downfall. This caused many conflicts to arise between the Norse gods and the other gods and a war seemed inevitable. Thor, unlike the others, reacted with great sadness at the end of the Nordic race. He was in despair not because of the deaths of the last true Nords but because what they had become. The people had abandoned their heritage and culture for that of other peoples and died in the most disgraceful of ways, age and weak disease. Thor's sadness led to his isolation and the isolation gave him time to think, which led to his plan. Thor's plan to create one last member of the Nordic race, the perfect and final Nord who would be the embodiment of all the race had stood for. This Nord was to be called Valgt and as the last beloved son of Thor he was granted almost deity like powers to used as he wished. Valgt saved the people of his world many times over and effected it greatly, with his coming the lands became adventurous and full of war. Valgt with the power of Thor at his disposal was invincible, a one man army capable of destroying nations at will. In the end mortality took its toll and left Valgt to die, safe in his house, peacefully, slowly and disgracefully. Thor would not let it end as such, so he sent the soul of Valgt to another reality to live out another life. After sending the soul the gods became powerless over its destiny, as they have no power in that new unknown place, so they sit and sleep watching his adventures in their dreams. The soul finds a matching body to itself, this reality's him, and merges, but mostly takes control of it. The body was that of a Northerner boy just recently entering manhood, and as Valgt took over the boy's features changed to match his new souls old body, his personality and mind followed suit. Of Valgt's old life only memories of battle, lightning and dreams of his past life remained but they were all faded beyond recognition while he was conscious. The memories of the body he took over were there but he felt that they were not his and soon left his home and parents that he no longer felt connected to. Valgt now lives as a ordinary human with no powers but even though he does not know of his old world, Aegis does not seem to be his, its god he feels no love for and even its most vile evil he does not feel ill towards. Through the memories of the Northerner, he remembers his father taking him hunting in the woods, teaching him how to become a man and use a blade, he remembers his father getting into a bar fight before his very eyes and beating the man senseless. His father had taken him to taverns often, as the barkeep liked Varlgt and taught him a few things and it also happened to get his father more then just a few free pints. His mother was also a fighter, in different ways, taking care of her family in the hard lands of the North. She is the one who taught him to read, write and cook He did respect these people, his "family", but felt he could not love the in the way the needed and did not want to hurt them with these feelings, as he had already taken their son from them. Valgt went one day, never to return. He brought with him many things, many of which he lost in his journeys, losing fights against powerful beasts he was not prepared to fight. He's been traveling for around a year now, searching for a home, a place that does not exist. -Character Age: 23 -Character Appearance: Tan because he's outside so much, with unkempt brown hair and short beard. There's a glowing blue amulet strung around his neck and he wears his buckle shorts most of the time. His eyes are a golden brown but with his hair so low they usually just appear black. He's 5'11", but he's got some largeish muscles and a slight bear gut. -Character Personality: He's sort of a brute, and he does like his food and drink, but this man is actually quite clever when he wants to be. He see's nothing wrong with thievery or raiding and since he shares no connection with this worlds spirits he has no base hatred for the undead or ascended. He sees all the races as the same and because even the humans here seem alien to him he just treats them like fellow people, no matter who they are. -Your ambitions: Starting a tavern and getting to know the people of Aegis. -Can your character read or write?: Yes -Can your character mine?: No -Are you a capable builder? No -Can you wield a sword?: Yes -Enjoy Farming?: No -Does your character have any special skills?:] Literally without fears of any kind. Glowing necklace with no special properties. He also knows many recipes for beer and meat. -A screenshot of your skin: Imageshack Picture of Screenshot -Other Information: Though he is never afraid he understands his limits and may sometimes stall a fight long enough to gain support, but he doesn't mind losing, he just prefers being alive to be in more fights in the future. ((This application was posted once before, but its been 8 days so I decided to resubmit it now)) (( I added a /b to stop the bolding after the "name the four races" part/ Thanks for reading.))
  17. Its the North that the undead are known for terrorizing and if you attempt to build up there you'd just become a target. I think you'd be better off starting a guild then a nation, it sounds like that's basically what you want.
  18. Just saying, but you need an army(or 6) to conquer Aegis, you cant just DO it, you'd get crushed.
  19. I never said it was right, just smart. Theofratus just sort of exposed their true intentions anyway and I believe an support they had is going to start disappearing now. Also, just to make sure its clear, I am in no way affiliated with the Imperials or the town.
  20. And then the public would turn against you and you'd probably receive even more attacks and threats. You sort of painted yourself a target by consorting with evildoers, and because of that its going to be hard to gain any support, if you tried to pull this, with your character, good results would be very unlikely. These people could be secretly evil (Im not saying they ARE, just could), and plan on attacking you BECAUSE you help the new players and they also have knowledge of your past evils that they can use as a front for their attack. No-one here but the Imperials themselves know the REAL reasons to as why they are attacking and they've found a smart way of doing it.
  21. I fully support that Juvens should probably be investigated, as well as the town, and actions to be taken against the town for any evidence found BUT I don't wish for an entire town with some nice people in it to be wiped out. This seems like something that the Ascended SHOULD be told about. I want player vs player conflict in the world as well, but this has a lot to do with the undead which the Ascended are experienced in handling. @Juvens Could you stop making threats now? Its really not helping at all. Yes, you CAN attack due to rumor, but if enough of the public doesn't support your reasons for attacking then they will turn on you, for example, the public seems pretty sure that the rumors about your town are true so they should be able to attack you without other people getting in the way. If you on the other hand, decided to say you were attacking Haven because you belief the Acsended are secretly undead, most of the public would either help defend Haven or dismiss it for being bad RP.
  22. I'm pretty sure both Juvens and Susitsu said they were going to fight for the town, but they just don't WANT to fight, as most people wouldn't. Even when you win a battle, you lose things to the battle itself. What I dislike here is that the good guild who is suspicious of the evil in the town is planning on attacking it and killing everyone inside. Some sort of asking the towns people, checking the town, or even requesting the king or Ascended to investigate seems like the more legitimate thing to do.
  23. "if they attack" IF, as in if they happen to be there when you attack, they will defend their tavern and friends.
  24. "the undead have in the sense vacated the city" The Imperial Coalition do not know the undead are gone in game, and using information in this thread as knowledge to stop their own attacks would be Metagaming. Also, if you attempted to post signs up or some other thing that tells people the undead are gone it could be argued as metagaming. You could actually meet up in game and try a parley in character before the battle to discuss terms of surrender and such, then maybe "surrender" to having your town searched for evil by The Imperials, and if they find nothing, they leave. I don't know if guilds need official lore, but I assume they must all have some sort of background story they make up, for the guild to be a properly RP'd group they had to meet up somehow.
  25. Really they don't need any "evidence", they just need to act like they have evidence because they want to attack you and kill you without the public hating them for it. If they opened the thread just stating that they were going to go to war with you because they want to kill you, the community would not be supporting them as much as they are now.
