It's the first thing they learn pess. Things have changed quite a bit since you were in the order. 

If there was a lack of emotes, then that isn't an issue of mindlink or the lore as stated before. It's an issue with one of our newest members not rping it right. I.E. a mistake.

Well the staff don't listen anyways to feedback and cannot be contacted by others who aren't staff anymore so the forums is the only way to do this at this point Tsuyose. Quite frankly we're fedup and have been so for quite a bit.

If someone isn't following these things it's not a fault of the ascended or the lore, it's a fault of the player playing them. Because like it or not the ascended isn't one big entity that is responsible for every person in it. People can still powergame and do stuff wrong on their own terms. 

Hence why I said if you have a problem with someone, bring it to me or james. Don't cry for the removal of the whole order or a certain power every time someone doesn't rp something right. I find it amazing that everyone can make this distinction with any other group but fail to do so with the ascended.

It's not metabirding because it follows the same rules as birds in that you cannot use them whilst taking extensive pain, you need to emote actually making a visual que like a bird would anyways, you cannot use them whilst unconscious etc etc... 

Things already outlined already. 

You guys are literally just arguing the medium and the fact we do the same thing slightly differently to others.

James seems to say otherwise. From what I've been told the Ascended have gone through an extensive rewrite since then.

Depending on the situation, it is no different to sending a bird regardless.

There's nothing wrong for playing the same character. Nor does it have anything to do with what's going on here. 

As I said, if you have an issue with someone using it inappropriately I advise you to bring it to me or James. 

I don't see an issue with it being removed whilst there are groups like the newly accepted Wraiths that are essentially more powerful than the Undead ever were floating around whilst not even being a sever antagonist.

Seems a bit hypocritical honestly...

How mind linking works:

In combat, you need to give a visible que just like with any magic, you can't cast it whilst obviously suffering great pain, you can't cast it whilst unconcious, or bound, or anything like that.

Contrary to whatever the **** that post was about, we don't remember our own deaths. Whoever said that is greviously ill informed. 

The mindlinking itself is moderated by several staff members and is checked up each time it is used in combat. I've already pulled Funny up for it a couple times for doing it when he obviously couldn't do it but at the same time I've also pulled Aerialkebab up for it when he said Funny couldn't message me even though he messaged me nearly five minutes prior to Aerialkebab actually attacking him. Just because things aren't going your way doesn't mean something is powergaming. 

It's not as one sided of a story as you think.

Mindlinking is the first thing an Ascended learns. 

The reason for this is because every ascended is linked together through Aeriel. We call each other Brothers and Sisters because we're literally connected to one another. Thus is stands to reason the first thing an Ascended would learn is how to actually join the order properly. 

This has never been an issue for nearly six years now. So quite frankly I think a lot of people are just bandwagoning for the sakes of doing so. 



If you think one of our number is doing something wrong, please, I advise you to contact myself or James to resolve the issue. But at the same time I'd ask you to actually stop and ask yourself if you think there is actually a problem, or if you just didn't like the outcome of the RP on a personal level. There is a difference.

What's the point of writing up a post and giving my time of day if they won't even do the same for us?

A heavily moderated messaging system that is better than magic meta birds that aren't even moderated in the slightest but still allowed. 

But I guess that's what happens when you don't actually speak to those involved and listen to hersay...

One sided posts with no opposition solves nothing. Especially when every response is pretty biased and uninformed
