I also want a job where I can actually do something useful for once in my pitiful life. I want a chance to finally help people, and be part of something bigger. Are you against the Undead? Why? I'm against them because of all the destruction they've caused! They destroyed Kramoroe, as well as my home there! They have caused nothing but pain and suffering, and are getting more difficult to beat day by day. What skills do you bring to The White Ravens? How will these help us? I am a somewhat skilled fighter, however, I wish to pursue a more peaceful career path. I am a competent farmer, and a great gatherer and scavenger. My versatility is a key trait. His father expected his son to follow his footsteps by becoming a part of the Oren Kingdom Guards. His Father, Leo Cork, was a master swordsman, and fought bravely against the foes of The Kingdom of Oren. Leo was the paragon of a perfect soldier receiving some of the highest of honors. Finnigan lived in the shadow of his Father. He never seemed to measure up to the high expectations Leo set for his gangly, clumsy, failure of a son. Eventually, he tried to train Finn in the art of sword-fighting. Finnigan became quite good, but he didn't enjoy it at all. He hated every minute of his training, which widened the rift between him and his harsh father. They would spend long nights out in the practice area, his Father drilling him mercilessly as his son suffered. Every moment away from his Father, Finnigan complained, and whined. His mother, Delia, had a softer heart than Leo, but did not coddle Finn. She went along with his father’s views, wishing for her son to grow up to be a hero, not a comedian. Delia’s view of the perfect man was of one that fought, and protected his Kingdom. Delia made an attempt at teaching Finn to farm, hoping that if he couldn’t become an Oren Guard, he would find some way to make a living. (And eventually give her beautiful grandchildren!) He found farming a relaxing activity in contrast to Leo’s harsh training, and his own usual debauchery. Delia also taught him to read, but not completely to write. He refused to partake in her monotonous lessons around the time he turned 12, finding that he enjoyed participating in more risky activities. His lessons seem to take up too much time in his day. Finn was a horribly behaved child, constantly acting up and playing silly pranks on his parents, and their friends. Many of these included setting buckets of water above doors, sand-traps in pathways, and hiding random items about the house. His Grandparents attempted to punish him, but he always found a way to escape their punishments of solitary confinement by crawling out the window. It was simply with his skinny frame, but he usually ended up tumbling into the pond behind his house. His Grandparents were strict people, but eventually gave up on trying to break the mischievous spirit of the clumsy comedian. Finn was the laughing stock of the town, and both Leo and Delia were extremely disappointed in their son. They had no idea what to do with this monstrous teenager. Despite this, some people of the town were amused by Finn's carefree and brash antics. Some of his jokes bordered on simply vile, but he was well-liked by a small group of his friends. He became the leader of this group, causing trouble all throughout Al’Khazar. They bothered Guards with pranks, played jokes on the local shopkeepers, and ran amok. Once, one of his friends, Freddy got caught making noises from under the bridge in front of the gate. Finn was with him, partaking in the spooking of guards. One of the Guards went to check to see where the whisperings and zombie-like moans were coming from, and he discovered the burly, red-headed teen. Finnigan had fled the scene before he could be discovered. He heard the Guard coming, and ran without a sound. His best friend, Freddy was thrown in jail for a week. This was the first enemy that Finnigan made.
 Finn still enjoyed long nights hiding under the bridge at the gate of The Kingdom of Oren, and scaring the guards. He would let out a ghostly laugh, and spook them just for fun. These sorts of games were common place, and became an integral part of his personality. He never did stop them, even when he grew to the age of 16. His favorite pass times grew more and more towards mischief, and less towards farming and fighting. He rarely partook in stereotypically adult activities, except for drinking. Around the time Finn was 17, he sensed that his parents were close to kicking him out of the household. He was a complete embarrassment. This is when Finn began to horde Minas so that he could hopefully gather enough wool to sew a Jester's suit. He hid the project from his parents and stayed up late into the night in order to work on his garish masterpiece. He spent long hours working on a neighbor’s farm, earning meager money in order to pay for the cloth he needed. His parents began to have a spark of hope, that their song might have finally settled. They were completely wrong. As soon as it was complete, he put it on and stepped out into Al'Khazar city square to entertain the masses. He just barely earned enough money to pay for dinner that night. But, he enjoyed his work, utterly offending some and making others laugh so hard they cried. However, this was a dangerous job due to the scattered dislike of his raunchy attitude. Some people began to resent him, and yell at him to get off the streets. Others enjoyed it, and tossed him a couple Minas here and there. After two years of this, he was confronted by Freddy. Freddy now went by Fredrick, and was a Miner. Fredrick had married a comely woman from Winterfell, and owned a small home. He was also the one that was fed up with Finnegan, driving him out of town. He chased Finn with an iron sword, cussing and screeching at the man who had betrayed him. Fredrick had come back, after working so hard, only to see that Finn had never grown up. He had only grown more colorful, and childish. Fredrick resented the fact that his best friend never had to grow up, and enjoyed what he did. For Fredrick had a wife, money, and a house. He did not have happiness and laughter. Forced to relocate, he wandered about doing odd jobs to barely get by on meager salaries and donations. He did a bit of farming, and even decided to travel a bit. He made it to Laurelin, and some of the elves found him endearing, but others disliked his carefree attitude. Many of them saw him as a nuisance in general. Finn did some farming there, and began to read more books in order to educate himself on the subtleties of humor. However, Finn preferred his own brand of improvised, slapstick, sarcastic, and silly humor. When Finn passed by the capital of the Orcs, he read the signs, and avoided it. Orcs didn’t at all seem like the people that would enjoy what he perceived to be “comedic genius”. Most experiences he had with Orcs resulted in mockery of his clothes, lack of a permanent job, and home. The fact that he didn’t appear at all strong or muscular didn’t help at all. That is why Finn never liked the gruff attitude of Orcs, and is sometimes a bit afraid of them. He will never admit it though. Finnigan has been to many of the human cities, and some of the Elven. He has never been in the Orc Capital, nor has he gotten the chance to visit any Dwarven towns. He returned to Al’Khazar to gather supplies so that he could possibly move on to explore more of the lands, and the outer cities. Finn never wanted to settle down or shut up. It was no doubt that Finnigan could be a jerk, but his goal had always been to make people laugh. He enjoyed seeing laughing guards, and the giggling faces of children. He also reveled in the attention, savoring every moment of his acts. Why laugh at something years in the future when the possibility is open to make fun of it in the present? Currently, Finnegan is in Al’khazar, avoiding his parents at all costs, and gathering up supplies in order to make a longer journey. He is uncertain of the adventures ahead, and planned little. -Character Age: 22 -Character Appearance: Finnigan is approximately 6'3" with a lanky build oddly punctuated by a bit of a belly. He has pale skin, dark brown, and blue eyes. His Jester's suit is a bright blue, purple and yellow with hood that has a single bell on the end of it; much like a night cap. He often appears cheery and grinning, with his nose painted red and a purple smile painted across his lips. His teeth are white but crooked. -Character Personality: Finn is very mischievous and laughs often. He believes that people can be brought together with chuckles and giggles. His philosophy is carefree, but sometimes his jokes are offensive. His favorite type of humor is sarcasm, though he feels he’s a connoisseur of humor, believing that “Tis what she saideth” jokes are the lowest of the low. He makes friends fast, but often has trouble keeping them. Finnigan enjoys pranks and mischief of all sorts although he avoids any sort of extremely dangerous jokes to the best of his ability. He dislikes war, fighting, and politics. He enjoys exploring, meeting new people, and causing laughter. He was born into a somewhat wealthy family. He loved to explore, and find new things. Ben always had a thirst for knowledge, and was particularly interested in the Undead. This was considered an unhealthy obsession by his Father, whom wished for him to one day join the Oren Guard. However, Ben wasn't at all suited to such a violent job. Ben is a scientist at heart, who loves to question the world around him and learn of nature, people, and what makes things tick. His parent's influence became oppressive, his Father pushing him more and more each year to become a military man. He was forced to shine his boots every day at dawn. At the age of 19, he left his home in order to journey across the land, planning to learn purely about nature, and perhaps the Undead. For a few years, he studied nature at Laurelin with the elves, absorbing knowledge, and discovering just as much about nature as he did about himself. He classified species of plants, trees, and animals. His fascination with the Undead grew. Years later, Benjamin wished to return home, finally missing the company of humans. He dislikes killing, and is afraid of fighting. However, he will kill for supplies and food if the going gets tough. (Not that he's any good at it.) Ben has a sharp wit, but sometimes his complex plans are too complicated to work. Not only is he sharp, but he's also an problem solver. His intelligence is coveted by many, but his cowardly attitude isn't.
