TOWN CHARTER MC Name: troopermatthew RP Name: Telchar_Azaghal Village Name: Azagost Hold: Azagost Town Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose? After months of hard selling, hard mining and hard work generally the Family Azaghal had a small Hold any family would be proud of. The trade side of buisness had gone exceptionaly well with clients as important as the King of Salvus in their stockbooks. Clients even began turning up at the Hold itself asking for goods. Shops were set up across Asulon and merchants hired to run goods as far as the Elven Capital. Trade though began to overstretch the tiny Hold and Lord Telchar took council with the Elder members of the family to discuss the problem. After a day of discussions the council emerged with a plan. A plan called Azagost Town. It would be a project participated by every able man in the Hold to construct a town for travellers and those who even wished to work. A port would be set up to deliver the goods to the far flown shops that had been set up. The Hold would be moving onwards and upwards with Azagost Town being the first step. What type of political system or leadership is within the village? Oligarchy The Hold is run by the Dwarven family of Azaghal. Telchar is given the headship though. The family themselves hold no official rank. The laws will be set by the Family as long as they fall within the Temples laws. The town itself will be policed by hired hands. The town and the family are one politically. What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.) The town is typical of a port town. Citizens will be more accepting of other races so racial barriers are broken down. Although in turn the scum that comes with a port town also will inhabit it. As with the Hold and Keep the Town will remain neutral in times of war. Where would you prefer the town’s region be? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map). x= -1272 z= -80 The mountain here is the town. The land extension will be from the back of the mountain. The black box shows our location. http://dl.dropbox.co...88761/hello.png Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc): The town itself is more human than the Hold and Keep which are both Dwarven. The walls and paths are Dwarven implying a co-operative town construction project (Dwarves being experts with stone while men being more use to overground home construction). The docks will be human in origin and design aswell due to experiance by humans in that area. The human architecture will be Tudor in design. Players who have agreed to sign this charter (15 name minimum): Telchar Azaghal (troopermatthew) Brynjolf Azaghal (markkearney) Lars Azaghal (Irusxxassassin) Myrddin Azaghal (welshnutter) Avakare Kal'dore (Uberr) Feanor Fornstar (Daven7) Enterah (Enterah) Ugg Marthol (Spiffingwaffle) Amil Godaxe (Tythus) Shale (Roached) Prime (Unknown actual screenname) Albus (Sora) Kolbar_Azaghal (JohnC1996) Renzor Finn (The_predator)

VILLAGE CHARTER MC Name: troopermatthew RP Name: Telchar_Azaghal Village Name: Azagost Hold Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose? After weeks of hard sailing and hard living the family of Azaghal finally docked at their new home. At first survival was priority but as with any Dwarf the urge to show off wealth and power was too much. Setting off down the road in search of inspiration it was the youngest of the family Telchar who spied a mountain that captured all of the Dwarves hearts. With a river providing a natural border the Dwarves saw a Hold in the making. The river will provide natural trading routes. A port town is almost destined for this spot. Not only will this make a fantastic trade point but in worst case scenarios it is easily defended and a perfect fort. (Race relations, nation relations, etc.) The family itself will be rather secluded in their mansion at the top while the citizens will be typical of a port town but with a heavier percentage of Dwarves than normal. The Dwarves will be friendlier than normal due to their constant interactions with outsiders and how dependant they are on the trade they bring. Where would you prefer the town’s region be? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map). x= -1272 z= -80 The mountain here will be the town. The black box shows our location. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29388761/hello.png Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc): It will be a mix of different buildings nearer the river banks with many jetties and docks but as it moves towards the centre it will be mostly dwarven and deeper underground. The dwarven homes themselves will be built into the mountain side with various look out posts and towers. The families mansion will be at the very top. The centerpiece of the mountain will be a huge carved dwarven face that water spews from the mouth. When the water is switched off it allows access to the family mansion. Players who have agreed to sign this charter (5 name minimum): Telchar Azaghal (troopermatthew) Brynjolf Azaghal (markkearney) Lars Azaghal (Irusxxassassin) Myrddin Azaghal (welshnutter) Avakare Kal'dore (Uberr) Feanor Fornstar (Daven7) Enterah (Enterah) Ugg Marthol (Spiffingwaffle) Amil Godaxe (Tythus)

Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: troopermatthew Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No. How old are you?: 22 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT. Wales. UK. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a museum facilitator and semi-professional entertainer who enjoys travelling, playing minecraft, role-playing games and attending conventions around the UK. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: A few hours a night on average What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I have experience in various games both online and in person such as D&D, HH and WOW. I have a habit of playing Dwarf(s)(ves) and have a good understanding of their mythology in both Tolkien, Norse and traditional fantasy settings. To me roleplaying is the chance to escape. It is a world where only the imagination is the limit (and of course the skylimit!). In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are: Metagaming is use by those who are less than serious about the RP side of games and may use knowledge that the character would not know or fit the setting of the game universe. Power gaming is repeating or gaming in a way that excludes other parts of the universe such as storyline. What do you expect this server will be like?: I hope that this server is a well designed universe that is both immersive and believable where I can forge out my own dwarven and stunted existence. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Midgard, Citycraft and a few smaller ones that all had management problems and a low average age for players. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. How did you hear about us?: The admin Typhus...on a bus...leaving London. Strange story worth telling sometime! Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Yes. Vote number 549. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Telchar Azaghal In-Character: Character Name: Telchar Azaghal What is your Race?: Dwarf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): The family Azaghal have a long and proud past filled with warriors from wars long forgotten by man and smithies whos work fill the halls of kings...that is until their great grandfather Ulgar the Passionate fell in love with that which every member of his family loathed. The vile and weak elves For along as history could remember the sneaky and tall elves had always come into conflict with the Azaghal family who had a particular distaste for those who were shy of combat and blunt words. Such an act of kindness and eventual love between the Elves and one of the families own could never be forgiven so Ulgar and his first descendant were cast out from the family Hold in an act of involuntary repentance. So it came to pass that Ulgar and his son Alston the Lonely (rumoured to be half elf) both lived and died in the humble cabin they had built on the outskirts of the Shady Woods. Only now that Myrddin has felt his great grandfathers and grandfathers shame has finally fallen into the mists of time (or so he thinks, for dwarves are a race that do not easily forget a grudge) that he and his sons Telchar (One of the most talented blacksmiths dwarven kind has seen in a century) and Brynjolf (The carpenter. A rare but valuable profession amongst those that create their home underground) have finally set off for a Hold that they can once again make their home. What awaits this family fellowship can only be discovered on the fields of Aegis but the bond of blood is a weapon only the foolish will challenge! My character is Telchar who although young is the only member of the family who is folically challenged and although mocked by his older brother none can deny his skills with a hammer and forge. At only the tender age of 30 he has already crafted weapons fine enough to be wielded by the greatest of mankind’s kings but unfortunately as an outcast was not in the position to advertise or offer his skills to anyone more than the occasional passing adventurer and hunter. Due to his upbringing he has a thirst for adventure usually unseen in his kind. This isn’t a bad thing when you can travel from town to town to tap into a fresh source of income! He is easily the most economically savvy member of the family. His family life usually consists of him coming up with elaborate schemes and his brother grounding him in reality while his father remainds silent, prehaps due to Telchars similarity to a younger version of himself. The real test of character will take place on the adventure ahead. Although he has yet to face any real combat his weapon of choice is the mallet for it is a familiar tool in the hands of a blacksmith and great for repairing a helmet in a tight spot! His relationship with his father and brother are strong but as the youngest member of the family he is the subject of teasing although in the future there may not be as much time for such fun and games as Telchar is about to go through his biggest adventure to restore honour to a man he has never met but is joined to in blood. Your characters ambitions: The chief Blacksmith of my Hold and perhaps the greatest known to Aegis. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? I would unfortunately feel obliged to help that pointy ear as they are usually unable to help themselves but I would make sure that him and his village would always owe me and my Hold for my act of kindness. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? “Help me? I am here to help you! I see various wares around your store of man and elf craftsmanship. Perhaps you would be more interested in the finer and considerably more desirable goods made by myself in the hottest of dwarven forges. If you will just allow me a moment of your time then I’m sure we can strike up a deal that would benefit the both of us.” A screenshot of your skin: Other Information: Please note that a few other players have/will be submitting characters with the same surname, back story and race as part of a dwarven family we have developed together to enhance our role playing experience.
