Thats been done on other servers, and in my experience it completely undercuts the market for those poor souls who rely on selling their wooden or stone tools/weps, because unlike other servers on loTC you have to work hard to earn the stats/skill to wield higher quality weapons. So there can be a high demand for wooden/stone weps. Also giving them mats to create food wouldn't work either unless they all chose the cooking skill. But in theory it's a good concept. Ok I have my own question, will having our own launcher put a stop to people using easily downloadable hack packs? Because if so HALEJUAH!

It won't be able to put a stop to people hacking. But it will mean that in order to hack you will have to be a coder, and we don't have many of those on our server :P

Umm. The max skills should be insceased to 325, not 300. Since the current ratio of skills to skill points is 25 per skill. Unless of course Vaq is trying to further limit how many skills we can have :(

You can just back up your .minecraft folder, then use Vaq's downgrader: http://lordofthecraft.net/downloads/MUC.exe

Then when you want to play the other version of minecraft, you just swap over the .minecrafrt folders.

We have vastly differing opinions on that.

I would like to see a happy medium between the two. Lots of people RPing in the same area can be very confusing and hard to follow because of the large amount of chat messages, and often ruins the roleplay. But on the other hand having small cities means that it is very hard to find RP, especially if you are in a different timezone to the people in the city, or you don't keep in regular contact with them oocly.

Thank you for clearing things up Robin. I just want to say guys that you should TRUST the GMs, they are hand picked for their maturity and dedication to this server. If on the rare occasion that you TRULY, I mean TRULY believe that a GM has done something wrong, or has been biased in their decisions, then send a nice PM to one of the admins, instead of just raging on the server, skype and TS.

Damn I wish I didn't have assignments due. Otherwise I would make a map for this...

Nuuuuu. Don't make it in the wilds. This just takes away RP from the main areas of the map, and spreads the player base out more :(

Theres a big poblem with this map we have. There is too much land. If there is a ton of land there will be a ton of cities or towns. I think each race should at the top only have two cities and the map just needs to be a little smaller so that way you don't find about 56 cities and only 2 people live in all of them. The bigger the map the more spread out rp will be! If you know what I mean. A good size map is important. Just can't be to big otherwise the server doesn't have enough people.

Speaking of sizes.... There's no need to post in one so big.

Ok! Everyone who is interested in a new map should google "Eldaria".

It is the most beautiful custom map I have ever seen as is where most of my builds take place. Also the amount of condensed RP on this map would shoot up... It is smaller than Asulon and unique in every corner... While I personally won't be finished with Asulon for a long time I could definitely see a map like this working for our server.

While I love that map, I don't really think it would be suited for the next LoTC map. It is too many small islands without any really big ones. And there doesn't really seem to be any flat areas.

Well I was given Arma 2: CO about 2 months ago by a friend, who had it leftover as a prize from a LAN event that he runs every 6 months. :D
