In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.
To describe Metagaming, it would be obtaining out of character information to benefit your character in game and make you better than others or help you in a way which is unfair towards others.
Power gaming is when a player makes an action against/towards another player but doesn’t let the other player react. For example this would be if a character attacked another character saying “I stab you and you are dead” before the second character has any chance to react.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
Sky was born in a far off village, across the high seas, to a mildly attractive serving girl in the local town inn, and to a priest who had nine months previously broken his oaths of celibacy. When the abbot found out about the priest’s broken oaths, the priest was then exiled from the church, ordered to never return. Sky was then brought up as if he was the abbot’s son, learning the ways of the paladin from a small age, judged unworthy in god’s eyes to be a full priest.
One seemingly regular Sunday morning Sky approached the church, the sounds of heavy rain drilling into his head, the cold chilling him to the bones. He mounted the steps, the smell of a recently lit fireplace bringing back long dead memories of cosy nights tucked up next to the roaring fire. The door handle was warm to the touch, uncharacteristically in this weather. The door creaked as it opened–as usual-up to the small but finely crafted entrance to the church. A burst of smoke billowed out of the open entranceway clogging Sky’s nostrils and causing him to stumble backwards. He pulled a dagger from a place hidden on his back and sliced the leather straps holding his armour together, his armour falling from him, already starting to heat up quickly. He tore a piece of the cloth from his robe he was wearing underneath the plate, wrapping around his unshaven face. He launched himself into the smoke, brandishing the sword with practised ease. He made it through the foyer, coughing on the thick black veil. As Sky stumbled into the main body of the church the smoke cleared a little, the source of the smoke seemed to be coming from the library. He rushed towards the abbots private rooms smashing the door to pieces as he collided with it. There were two men in the room, one on top of the other with his hands around the others throat. Sky raised his sword to defend the old abbot. His sword, held now with both hands, cleaving through the haze of smoke connecting with the nape of the attackers neck, lifting his head from his shoulders. The abbot pushed the attacker’s corpse from him and rose. All of a sudden the nose on Sky’s face was lancing with pain, wetting his upper lip with a dark red liquid. Sky stumbled as the abbot withdrew his fist from his face. He looked up and b then the abbot had already smashed out a stained glass window and had begun fleeing. Sky ran to the window to try and spot the man fleeing from the burning church, to no avail. Except at closer inspection he saw a necklace broken at the chain, tore y the shards of glass, he grabbed the necklace and seized the body and decapitated head of the man he had just killed, dragging them from the wreckage.
Sky laid the body and head out just in front of the steps. He glanced at the necklace, singed runes glowing back at him, reading “Uss vel'uss 'udtila naut z'hin llentol, 'udtila naut z'hin whol verve”. He looked at the face of the man that had burnt his home. He recognised this face, the face of the person he knew best in life, the abbot. His head crashing with the sudden realization of what he had done. He bent down and openly wept for the dead abbot. Once finally mustering his strength to move on he gathered his armour and sword screaming to the heavens “GOD FORGIVE MY TWISTED SOUL”.
Your characters ambitions:
To travel around the world and find someone who could read the runes left on the necklace and possibly hint as to who the man that attacked the abbot and burned the church was.
Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?
Sky unsheathes his sword, pointing it at the bandits. “Halt!” The bandits then turn to see the paladin, in his scuffed armour. One of the bandits, the taller of the two turns to see Sky challenging them, he alerts the other bandit to Sky’s presence. ‘What the hell do you want!’ shrieked the shorter bandit, pushing the elf to the ground. Sky replied “For you to leave peacefully, now” The taller bandit obviously egged on by the ecstasy of battle, yelled “Looks like we’ve got ourselves a hero”. The bandits started to sprint towards Sky their heavy footfalls creating footprints in the soft ground. Sky raised his shield preparing for the oncoming charge. The taller bandit’s long sword glanced of Sky’s shield as he ducked under the blow. Sky made a swing at the bandit’s knee, hitting him and spurting blood in an arc on the ground. The shorter bandit ran around sky and made a lunge with his dagger, the dagger sunk into sky’s shield-arm biceps, forcing him to drop the shield. Shy swung his sword around in blind rage and got halfway through the shorter bandits abdomen before the sword stopped. By then the taller bandit had managed to recover a small amount from the crippling blow, he limped away from sky, attempting to flee. Sky ran after him, tackling him to the ground, all the while holding pressure on the wounded arm. He punched the fallen bandit in the head, knocking him unconscious. He stood and gathered all of the equipment left behind by the bandits and himself. Sky walked over to the elf, helping him up off the ground. “My thanks good sir, if you hadn’t come they would have killed me and taken everything I own”. Sky tore a piece of clothing from the dead bandit and wrapped it around his arm, to stop the bleeding. “Well I saw you under assault by those bandits and I couldn’t stand by and watch.” “Well thank you sir,” sky then turned kindly refusing the request for a meal, knowing that the elf would probably do better off with the food.
Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?
“Hello, do you know of anyone who would know how to read this?”
Sky shows the necklace to the merchant.
“No I’m sorry I don’t know anyone in particular, but you could try the college at the castle if you think they might help?”
“I might just do that, but anyway do you sell any food?”
“Yes, might I recommend the pork?”
The merchant directs Sky towards the pork.
“No thank you I need something that will last longer on the road and will not rot.”
“Well all I can offer to you would be some of this bread.”
Sky thinks to himself: this bread is already stale but I guess it’s better than rotten pork.
“Il take a loaf please.”
“that will be 5 minas.”
Sky rummages in his pockets, trying to find any cash he might be carrying, managing to scrounge up enough.
“here” says sky handing over the small change.
sky turns away and as his head turned he thought he saw, out of the corner of his eye, the merchant grinning to himself.
