Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying to me is when you act out whatever you're doing and create your own story for your own character. You can do things that normally the game cannot. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've played on many RP servers and I am currently an Admin on the Assassins Creep server and a mod on the Skyrim server. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is when someone uses knowledge gathered OOC, IC for their own benefit. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming is when someone overpowers their actions and ruins the RP experience for others, for example "killing everyone with a flick of his wrist". What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to have a friendly staff and community and be a positive RP experience. (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Wood elf. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Zane grew up in Normandor. His parents took great care of him. They were a normal family with enough money to survive. His father was a merchant. From the items he obtained, he would give Zane a few seeds or pieces of string. Zane loved nature, like most elves around him. His parents told him of stories of the Destruction of Aegis and the founding of Asulon. He loved to explore and wander around in the forests, pondering about the world around him. He studied plants and animals, and also learned how to use a bow from the older elves that lived nearby. He didn't harm animals with the weapon, but used it to as a way to defend himself and others. He practiced day and night, shooting different trees farther and farther. Wherever he went, Zane brought his bow with him. He befriended animals wherever he went. Wolves followed him everywhere and he loved to take care of them. When he became an adult, Zane set out to see the rest of the land he lived in. He wanted to travel across Asulon and find many new creatures. He also brought his bow, practicing whenever he could. Along the way, he met a wolf. They quickly became friends, the wolf following Zane wherever he went. They wandered through the land, looking at the marvelous scenery. They came across many trading camps and traded Mina's or other items they stumbled upon for food and supplies. Zane obtained many supplies and began to create his own bows. The bow he had was almost broken from the hours of training. Now, he knew how to craft his own to his standards. At night, Zane and his wolf companion would set out once again, hunting evil creatures for supplies to trade in the morning. Often when there were no trading camps nearby, Zane would create a farm with the few seeds he had picked up along his journey. With the help of bonemeal, he never starved. The two were fed and healthy. They were a great pair, able to communicate with each other quickly. They camped wherever they could, creating a makeshift dirt home for the night. Obtaining a map the other day from a merchant, Zane decided where he would travel to. There were many things he wanted to do and places to go. He wanted to reach Alras and find supplies for new bows, to travel to the Holy Oren Empire to see the marvelous buildings, to learn more about the history of his people, and so much more. What is your Character's ambitions?:To become a master archer and to be able to use his abilities to help others. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Preferably a bow or sword. Although his swordsmanship skills are lacking, he would use it for close combat. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: He is a very skilled marksman and can think on his feet. Other Information about your Character: He is quiet and does not like to cause trouble. He is humble but confident. He also has a scar on his arm from the incident with the Skeletons. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: Looking at his surroundings, Zane analyzes the possible choices to eliminate the two warriors. He didn't have much time. The halfling was still getting beaten. He decided his plan. Sneaking across the earth, he hid behind bushes nearby, knocking his arrow. Aiming, he shot. It was a perfect shot. He felt it in the beginning, a perfect release. A hissing sound came from behind one of the warriors, an arrow hitting its mark, straight into the mans heart. The other warrior, startled, turned in the direction the arrow came from. As he looked, another arrow was on its way. Turning toward the halfling, Zane helped him up. "Come on, you're badly bruised." Zane said as he helped the halfling up and retrieved his items. "Thank you, Wood Elf. What is your name?" the halfling asked. "Zane, Zane Mythrym." Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Hello there! I'm just looking for a few supplies to make a bow. Do you happen to have any string or wood?" "Erm.. Lemme check.. wood won't be a problem, but string will cost ya a bit. It's hard to get them from those darn spiders." "Ah. I see. How much would you sell them for? I'm looking for the best kind you have!" "The best kind eh? Well, I'll see what I can do for ya." the man said as he looked through his chests. The man opened a chest that Zane could see was full of string. He then closed it quickly. "Well.. we're running quite low on string, I'll have to bump up the price a bit, how about.. another 20 Mina's for each? Including the normal 50 Minas?" The man suggested. "Hm. Thats too bad. I was going to buy a huge amount of string, say about.. a chest full? I would have payed double the price! But I'm afraid not." Zane said as the man stuttered, "Oh wait! Let me check in some other chests," the man said as he looked into the other chests. "Ah hah! I've found a chest full! May I see the Min-" "Oh I'm sorry, it seems another man is selling string for only 40 Mina's a piece!" Zane said. "It seems I'll be buying from him then!" Zane added, walking away slowly. "No! Wait come back! I'll sell it to you for the normal price!" the man yelled. Zane slowly turned around, a smile on his face. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: There's a lot of valuables in there! Zane thought to himself. He would never steal, but it seemed like a very easy task to do. With all the cobwebs in the hut, it seemed like no one lived there for awhile. Looking at the chest, it seemed like it was opened recently however. Someone must have opened it and left the items in there. "You there! Thief!! What are you doing?!" a voice from behind bellowed. Turning around, Zane saw a human running toward him. "Wait! I was just passing through. I've done nothing to take your things. It just seemed odd that you would leave so many valuable items in the open like that." Zane said curiously. "I left it there on purpose. See, there was a tripwire here that if touched, it would then- Wait, why am I telling you? Get outta here!" The man yelled. Zane turned toward the door, noticing a thin piece of metal. Interesting.. Zane thought. The man, glaring at him, forced Zane to leave before he could study the trap. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: "Greetings. Would you happen to have any food on you?" Zane asks one of the traders. "Yes, but for a price of course.This is a trading camp! What, you think its gonna be free?" replied the trader. "No, but I do have some items you might want. I could trade 20 Mina's for a few pieces." "Hm.. Deal." the man replied, trading a few pieces of steak for the money. Zane looked at the steak, looking at it carefully before giving the man his items. It looked delicious and Zane's mouth started watering right away. He hadn't had food in awhile. "Nice doing business with you." As Zane left, he inspected the food he just received. It was old, rotten, and filled with bugs. How did he not see this before? He turned around, but the man was gone. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Hearing that the guards needed help with the bandits nearby, Zane went up to the guards. "I hear that you need help? I could be of assistance." "Oh really now? And what could YOU possibly do?" the guard asked mockingly. The wolves, now appearing behind Zane, startled the guards. "AH! WOLVES! GET BACK!!" one of the guards yelled. Trying to calm the man, Zane explained. "These wolves are not harmful unless I command them to be. I can help you by using these wolves to fight the bandits. I'm also good with a bow, so I can wear them down as you finish the job. Understanding the plan, the guards agreed to let Zane help. As the guards confronted the bandits, Zane was ready nearby in a concealed spot. The wolves, able to see his hand motions, hid behind the guards. As the guards began to talk, the bandits pulled out their weapons. Holding his hand up, he waited. As the bandits attacked, his hand came down. The wolves leaped. Knocking his bow, he aimed. The wolves were already on top of some of the bandits. Shooting at the men in the back, the bandits were confused. They were being surrounded. Guards were coming down on them, wolves chewing their men like toys. In the back, a mysterious archer shot volley's at them. They stopped fighting. Giving up, they lifted their hands and dropped their weapons to the ground. "Stop!" Zane yelled at the guards. "They have surrendered." Zane jumped off the tree, climbing down toward the battle. As the guards took the bandits away, Zane checked his wolves. Some were injured, and only one died. Burying it there, Zane left to wander around the world once again.
