  1. Our clan will rise from the ashes, and seat itself upon many skulls! Long live da Dom Klan!
  2. 4.5/10 What a strange eye. Clearly dilated, suggesting drugs. Veins all over, go get some sleep. Oddly shaped. A below average eye, all in all. Tsk tsk.
  3. A great alternative is to stare at the screen, and use the force to rectify this error. Although, it'll be easier to go outside. It's a beautiful world!
  4. That's actually a good idea. I can already picture a blood-stained map for us Uruks.
  5. Wonderful, it all makes perfect sense now. Here's a cookie for a nice read, my good sir.
  6. Throm'ka, pushdug Shara of the forums! I am Alcarnus, and I hope to become a grape within your neat-looking little community. I joined for the RP, and so far, it has been wonderful. I love the friendly, and yet intense roleplaying flowing around. Anyways, here's hoping I make some friends and enemies along the way! I love you all, and hope to stab headbutt each and every single one of you many times.
  7. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Alcarnus How old are you?: I am 17 years of age. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST/United States of America Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I do so have a good grip of the English language, as well as good grammar. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Well, let's see. I am a tall, lean, and muscular male of White and Hispanic ethnicity. Although I currently reside in the US of A, I was born and raised in Norwich, England. To add to that my mother is English, so I have an English accent. I play a variety of sports, and they include football, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, cricket, and a little bit of basketball. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I could spend approximately five to six hours on the server daily, if not more. However, once school starts up, I am not so sure I can dedicate as much time then. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: What do I know about Roleplaying? Well, I can tell you that it is a fun escape from the dull reality of life. Roleplaying is what we humans use to escape into the fantasy and surreal realm of what we wished life would be like. To me, Roleplaying is when a person changes his/her behaviour to fulfill the role of a fictional character that he/she came up with. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have had a very long and intimate experience with Roleplaying. The first game I ever played was Fallout 1, and I simply loved the idea of living out the life of someone fantastical, someone so impossibly amazing. To add to that, I have played most of the Bethesda games, Diablo 2 and 3, Mass Effect 2 and 3, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and pretty much all the Lord of the Rings games. Also, I played World of Warcraft with a dedicated community of Orc-lovers for four months. However, my Roleplaying experience is not limited to RPG games. I have had quite some experience with Minecraft roleplaying. I wrote lore on a few RP/PvP servers. Also, I regular Roleplay with fellow players. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is when a person uses out-of-game information to alter in-game outcome. In other words, using information their character could not have possibly obtained to their advantage. For example; Two friends are discussing their plans for attacking the Dwarven outpost of Dorfy Lorfy. Their characters do not know the location of Dorfy Lorfy, but they due, thanks to the Dynmap. They use this information to their advantage. That would be Meta-Gaming. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting, sometimes referred to as God-Emoting, is when Player A forces an action on Player B without their consent. Also, it is when you RP an unbeatable character. For example; You are fighting a Dwarf, and you are dying. All of a sudden, you do Alcarnus *disappears in a blinding flash of light. What do you expect this server will be like?: I am hoping for a grand Roleplaying experience with a large audience. I hope to play alongside a large and friendly community of mature individuals. Of course, I expect to find some nice architectural style and much bloodshed. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on Nations at War, Block Empires, and LegendsMC. Nations at War is currently undergoing its testing and development phase for the next season, so I am here looking for other options. Block Empires was a nice server with grand ambitions. However, it lacked the community I was looking for. We were plagued with immature players who often ended up being hacking little... children. As for LegendsMC, well a friend of mine runs the server, and it is not exactly "lively" anymore. Inactivity and a horrible playerbase has killed the fun. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read, understood, and agreed to the rules. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide by said rules and laws. How did you hear about us?: A friend of mine played on this server a while ago, and recommended I take a look at it sometime. Well, suffice it to say, I am liking what I see so far. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: I have made an application a little over a day ago. Here is the link: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/60700-alcarnus-application/ In-Character: Character Name: Alcarnus What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Orc. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Nomad. Although, his mother was a Goblin, and his great-grandfather was a Goblin as well. Another point of note, is that he may/may not have the blood of Man running through his veins. Of course, Alcarnus does not know this as of yet. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Name: Alcarnus Age: 39 Sex: Male Personality: Aggressive, Honourable, Quiet Height: 10'9" Weight: 492 lbs. Body Type: Lean/Muscular Hair Color: Light Brown Eye Color: Blood Red ----------------- History ----------------- The Beginning Alcarnus, the name itself does not sound at all Orcish. He was born to Uracnus, and a female Goblin he had taken fancy to one day after a long battle. Alcarnus knows very little about his past, or his bloodline, for that matter. All he knows is that both his parents were killed during a massacre, and that he is the youngest of seven male offspring. The sons of Uracnus were all born on Asulon, with the exception of the eldest. He was born in Aegis, a few years before their clan moved to the harsh deserts of Asulon. These deserts are unforgiving, as is fitting for a true Orc. The settlement in which Alcarnus uncle, G'Okus, had decided would become their home was a small village of two clans. They had friendly relations in the past, and their like-mindedness helped solidify their bond further. Besides, neither of them wanted to let the place go, it was an oasis which herds of animals visited daily! To add to that, the mighty city of Sanzejal is but an hour's walk. G'Okus had never been able to bear children, due to battle wounds. This resulted in him treating Uracnus' cubs as if they were his own. The House of Nus is a house of mighty warriors, and he was detemined to make sure the future of his bloodline live up to what is expected of them. Without real parental figures, the children of Uracnus fell to G'okus for guidance. For what is a child without a parent, a guiding light? Rite of Passage 11 Years Later... "Up, nubhosh buubs!" An ear-piercing roar thundered throughout the Pit. The Pit was where all the cubs of the clan were assigned for training, and taught the ways of the Orc. Several discontented grunts and moans could be heard from all across the room. "Skah, dis be stoopud." grunted a young cub. Unfortunately for him, the older Orc heard him, and quickly approached him. "Wat lat blahh? Lat tink dis be stoopud? How bout lat run da trakk fuh dub hours! Go, pushdog glob!" G'Okus screamed into the frightful cub's face with so much rage, that the rest of the group quickly stood up and were wide awake. "Alcarnus! Come now!" With that, Alcarnus' heart sank. "Ug, G'Okus?" Alcarnus replied as he walked up to G'Okus. "Today, lat go hunt buubs! Lat bring bubhosh buubs blargh, agh clan will blah lat name in happy. Gruk?" G'Okus asked Alcarnus while looking down into his eyes. "Dabu, mi gruk, G'Okus!" Alcarnus jogged out of the Pit, and began running into the wilderness. He had nothing but a piece of leather skirt and a leather cowl. Yet, he was expected to bring home a wild pig by nightfall. It may be difficult, but it was quite doable. He wandered deep into the desert for well over five hours without seeing a single sign of life. He was tired, hungry, and thirsty. Just when all hope seemed lost, Alcarnus heard something. Water! Where there is water, there is assuredly some form of life nearby. He slowly crept over the sand dune to take a peak at the crystal clear river. It was beautiful, and he was tempted to take some sips. However, one must maintain a strong mind, especially when he was so certain there was something nearby. He waited for what seemed an eternity, stock still. His unusual grey skin made him blend into the nearby rocks very well. Out of nowhere, he heard it. The majestic squealing of pigs! He saw three of the beasts lumbering along the riverbed, taking deep, long gulps of water. Killing them would be easy enough, it was getting to them that would be a bit of a challenge. They were on the opposite side of the river. Alcarnus thought for a while, and the setting sun was not helping ease his mind. Then, like a sack of golden apples, it hit him. Wheat! These beasts seem to have a strange fondness to wheat, and a patch of wheat was conveniently planted along the riverbed. It was behind some rocks, though. He slowly crawled down the sand dune. When he made it down the dune, he pressed his arms against the boulder, and planted his feet into the adjacent rocks, making sure not to crush the wheat. When the boulder finally gave way and rolled into the river with a mighty splash, the wheat was all but naked. It took the pigs a few minutes to see it, but when they did, they swam across the river to their doom. A few hours later, Alcarnus marches home with a grin on his face. He was late, and he knew this. But he cared not, for he brought in three times what was asked of him. The two escaped pigs was a disappointment, but three is always better than one! "Alcarnus!" bellowed G'Okus when he saw the young cub marching into the village. Nobody paid attention to G'Okus' rage however, for when he turned around, he saw the stack of pigs cleverly balanced on the cub's head and shoulders. He could not help but grin, and that grin was followed by an outburst of laughter. "Lat make mi proud, Alcarnus! Let foget lat lateness, and feest!" The entire clan roared with approval as the young cub threw down the stack of pigs. He had proven that he was capable of performing tasks for his clan, and he was no longer considered a cub. Alcarnus just became an Orc, in the eyes of his clan. Rejected, Shunned, Outcasted 18 Years Later... Alcarnus now 28 years old, had long since grown to full adulthood. He has become the spitting image of his father, those that knew him say. His tusks were sharp and ready to tear some flesh apart. His eyes glowed the same blood red as his father's. He stood a head taller than most of his brothers and clanmates. The strangest thing of all, is his intelligence. Alcarnus is rather intelligent, and this intelligence often makes his fellow Orcs uneasy. He was already physically intimidating, but with this intellectual capacity? He was an odd one. They made fun of him, they walk away from him when he enters the conversation, and they dare not anger him for fear of being snapped in two. Very few Orcs can accept Alcarnus for his individuality, except for his peers. They see him as a tool to be exploited. A mind like that? A body as capable as that? The perfect warrior. However, there was always some "issues" with his behaviour and personality. Alcarnus had lived a socially tormented life. His brothers despise him for his physical and mental gifts, and did whatever they could to publicly humiliate him. Alcarnus was an outcast; shunned at every corner by his own. This fueled his inner rage even more. He soon deviated from the path of the typical Orc, and did everything in his power to become strong, both mentally and physically. With each passing year, he grew more and more distant from his fellow Orcs. He rarely, if ever, dines with his clanmates anymore. He has become all but silent. However, his view on the world changed one day. He saw everything in a new light. He was strong, and they were weak. He was smart, and they were dumb. His strange uniqueness, it is not something to be ashamed of! Arrogance, bloodlust, greed, and power soon corrupted him. He hungered for blood. He hungered for power. And he saw this small clan as the road to greatness. Alcarnus' victories in the arenas only served to inflated his ego. The blood spilled over served to intensify his hunger for even more blood. His brief command of a band only served to leave him wanting more. The rest of his clan saw this new side of him. His dark side, so to speak. G'Okus began to worry about him, and one day, he confronted Alcarnus after a day's training in the arena. It was on this same day that Mockarnus, the eldest of Alcarnus' brothers, had publicly humiliated him. "Alcarnus, mi neffew. We mus blah!" G'Okus shouted from the viewing platform. Alcarnus complied by quickly walking up the nearby stairwell. "Yus, uncle?" "Wat lat plan fo' fewcher, Alcarnus?" asked G'Okus. "Mi want to be da greatess warrior in da War Uzg! Mi will be strong in mind and body. Mi will rule bubhosh armies of Orc, agd a..." Alcarnus stopped mid-sentence, seeing the frown on his uncles's face. "Mi werry about lat life, Alcarnus. Lat no can do dis anymore! Lat lib alon in buurz like snaga Goblin!" "Mi will do what mi please. Mi is strong and smart. Lat all weak and stewpid. Mi can make lat all strong and smart, like mi! Let mi rule over clan, uncle." Alcarnus was now wide-eyed and almost pleading his uncle. But it was here, that Mockarnus stepped into the conversation. "Wat dis be! Lat blah bhind mi bak, Alcarnus? Lat know mi is first. Mi will be clan chief!" With that said, Morkarnus unsheathes his blade. Just as he does so, Alcarnus' other five brothers appear. "Wat is dis? Morkarnus, go no. Mi agh Alcarnus blah!" G'Okus yelled at Morkarnus, but to no avail. "Mi not want dis glob in clan now. He tink he is bedder dan mi? Mi is first son o Uracnus!" Morkarnus screamed, and this scream was followed by him charging at Alcarnus. Alcarnus' reaction was swift and decisive. He side-stepped and kicked Morkarnus in the side of his head. This had just become a duel to the death. Alcarnus drew his blade, and launched a series of attacks at Morkarnus' torso. As much as he hated him, Alcarnus could not bring himself to do anything more than injure his brother. But Morkarnus wasnot of the same mindset, and his attacks were ferocious. "Lat dub stop dis madness now! Alcarnus agh Morkarnus, lat be blood bruddas! Dis is-" G'Okus' speech was cut short, quite literally. Morkarnus had dodged one of Alcarnus' attacks, and he stumbled. His sword pierced G'Okus' chest, and inevitably, his heart. Their eyes locked for a full minute before G'Okus finally collapsed, and died. In that moment, all of Alcarnus' innocence was left him. He became more than a man, more than an Orc. The world lost sense and seemed to spiral out of control all of a sudden. However, G'Okus whisper something as his last words, before collapsing in Alcarnus' arms. Grokhan. Alcarnus gently set the dead body on the ground, and looked back at his brother's blank face. But he could not see clearly. His vision was blurred. He was crying... A tear rolled down his cheeks. Then, he ran. He ran as far and as fast as he could. Away from it all. Not once did he look back, but he heard the furious screams of Morkarnus, vowing his death one day. What are your Character's ambitions?: Alcarnus aims to become the master of his body and mind. Unlike his fellow brethren, he values intelligence just as much as strength. He wishes to one day aid his people in conquering the lesser races of this realm. The Orc is pure of blood, and all others must be exterminated or subjugated. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A sword, preferably a greatsword. It is powerful, fast, and graceful. It combat, speed is just as deadly as strength, if not more so. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Alcarnus excels on the battlefield. He was born for the kill. Nothing arouses him more than the smell of fresh blood on his sword. He loves nothing more than the sight of seeing his enemies crushed under his boot, or to see them flee in fear. Alcarnus may seem like a mindless murderer, but there is a very creative and patient mind behind those murderous eyes. He is gifted with a strong and speedy mind, and often sees attackers before they are even present. His strategies and tactics will save lives before they know they are even in any sort of danger. Alcarnus has a very strong military mind. Put a sword in his hands, a squad of the finest warriors available, and he will ensure victory for the horde. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: Alcarnus may or may not have the blood of Man running through his veins. However, he does not yet know this. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Alcarnus walks down the road, and sees the halfling being harassed by two armed warriors. They are most likely bandits, these two. There is no honour in picking on someone so much smaller and weaker than you. As a cub, Alcarnus was often picked on by his brothers and their friends, and he related to the halfling's situation all too well. These bandits are nothing but cowardly thieves, and he was determined to do the right thing. "Stop dis now, pushdug shara!" Alcarnus screamed at the two Humans. They appeared to be Northerners, by the looks of their larger than normal body type. "This is a private matter, Orc. You need not concern yourself with such minor local affairs, and I suggest you be on your merry way." replied the smaller of the pair. "Please, noble Orc! Find it in your heart to help a poor creature such as I, I beg of you!" the tiny ginger-haired Halfling screamed. "Silence, you diminutive scum! Hand over your possessions and we will be on our way." "Dis stop now! Mi will flat lat nubhosh shara. AHHHHHHH!" Alcarnus let loose a wild and berserk warcry as he charged at the two bandits. The two reacted to the Orc with an array of emotions that all but amused Alcarnus, who let a grin slip through his snarling mouth. The image only caused to terrify the bandits even more, and at this point, they lost all interest in fighting. "Oh boy, run!" the smaller Northerner, whom Alcarnus had now established is the leader of the pair, screamed. There was no purpose in hunting them down and killing them for the vile creatures that they were, so he let them live another day. "T-Thank you, m-my good sir! I owe y-you my l-life." the tiny Halfling stuttered to the towering Orc. "Tink nothing of it, nubhosh snaak. Now, go away!" Alcarnus responded. He had never been comfortable with gratitude, and he simply did not know how to respond appropriately, not that he even wanted to. "Y-Yes, noble o-one. Our p-paths shall cross once a-again!" vowed the little Halfling with a sudden and strange joy in his voice. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Alcarnus looks down on the dark skinned Human southeron with much curiosity. He had never related to the rich and prosperous, for such a thing barely exist in the War Uzg. You had what you needed to live, and that was more than plentiful. This little Southeron all but disgusted him. "Ug, mi gruk lat have fynest jewels in Alras. Is dis true?" inquired Alcarnus. "Yes, my dear sir, this is indeed true. Please turn your attention here," the Southeron pointed to a glassed shelf to his left, "here are some of the best selling jewels in all of Alras. Are you buying for a Feorc?" It surprised Alcarnus that the merchant had even bothered to refer to female Orcs by their correct terminology, but it was a minor formality. "Nub, pushdug shara! Mi want peercings, rings, nekklace. Lat gruk mi? Mi no want mojo ring made from steamiez." Alcarnus yelled at the poor merchant, who flinched ever so slightly. "I do apologize for misunderstanding, good sir. Yes, I am not ashamed to admit that we do sell what you are looking for." The little joke at the end of the sentence caused Alcarnus to chuckle a bit. "Well, here are some-" "Mi want da skull ring. Da nekklace with mojo stone too. How much?" "Ah, the ring will be 250 Minas. However, the crystallized ender pearls will be a tad more expensive, are you sure?" "Yub, mi sure! Why else would mi ask lat fo it?" "Very well, that will be 1500 Minas, plus 250 Minas. Okay, tha-" "1750 Minas. Gib mi now, agh take money." Alcarnus handed the surprised Southeron merchant a pouch of his money, took his new adornments, and left the shop. "Well, you are just one special beast full of surprises, aren't you?" muttered the merchant when Alcarnus was out of earshot. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Alcarnus sniffed the air, but could not smell anything. All he could smell was the chilly pines. All he could see were trees. He had been on the hunt of a wild boar for three days now. It seemed to play mind games with him, eluding him at every twist and turn. He crept forward, and saw smoke. Strange, no one is supposed to be out this far into the wilderness. He went in the direction of the smoke, and eventually saw a stone chimney. Now, completely out of the treeline and in the clearing, Alcarnus surveyed his surroundings. The small hut, made of a mixture of cobblestone and pine logs, seemed to be inhabited by at least three individuals. He looked more closely, and saw an opened chest lying just inside of the hut. He crept closer, making sure to remain unnoticed by anyone that may be nearby. Then, he saw a beam of light shooting from a rectangular object the length of a stick. Right next to the chest now, Alcarnus examined the contents of the chest. A few bars of iron, and a golden sword. This is probably all these folks have, he thought. The sword looked clean and well-maintained, suggesting that the owner was most likely a member of some form of military organization. "Daddy, can we eat this pig now! Please? I'm soooo hungry I could eat like an Orc." a squeaky Human voice came from behind Alcarnus. He quickly and carefully placed the objects exactly where they were, and leapt out the back window. "No, son. You must learn to control yourself, haha. We must get some timber for the fire before we can eat anything." an older male voice replied. Alcarnus spied at the father and son from the treeline. He looked at the father in admiration, and at the boy in envy. Growing up, he never had a true and caring father such as the Human he saw before him. He would never steal from people like them, he vowed to himself. To do such a thing would be cowardly and dishonourable. People like these two need to be protected by those with power. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Gah, you fool! The mathematical equations are all wrong, you simply cannot see it!" "I am telling you, Jestlio, this is correct. If we were to apply this to an actual horse, it would work!" Alcarnus walked up to the trade camp, and the caravan guards quickly stood up from their resting places. He payed no attention to the three guards, and eyed the arguing Southerons with great curiosity. "Halt, foul beast!" one of the guards yelled at Alcarnus as he approached the group. "You imbecile, one can not simp-" the Southeron stopped mid-sentence when he heard the commotion behind him. Both the Southerons were well-attired and had family crests of their clothing, so they were obviously nobles. "Well, what do we have here?" the one know as Jestlio said. They were both short and stocky men, and looked very identical. Perhaps twins of some sort? "Throm'Ka. Mi not looking for trubbo, mi jus want direction." he asked the two Southerons. "If you are not here for trouble, then we most certainly can and will assist you in anywhere possible. Where are you headed?" he politely asked Alcarnus, then added, "Oh, I am Culo, in case you were wondering? This is my brother, Jestlio." "Mi want direction to Cloud Temple. Everything in dis forest is the same!" Alcarnus gestured towards the trees, this caused the uneasy guards to draw their blades. "Now now, gentlemen. There is no need for that. Alcarnus, simply continue heading south, and you should run into a road. From there, follow it north. You should reach the Temple within four hour's time." Culo responded. "Rulg, shara. Mi go now." "Wait, take a loaf of bread. You seem starved." Jestlio offered him a loaf of bread. This act of kindness went a long way for Alcarnus, who was not used to it at all. He nodded at the Southeron and headed south, to the road. Never did he ask for food, just for directions, and yet, the Humans offered him food. Perhaps it is poisoned, he thought. He threw the bread away as soon as he was out of sight, not wanting to offend the Humans. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Alcarnus woke up to the screaming and commotion of men running about just outside. He had rented a tavern two nights ago, and the local townsfolk had shown him hospitality of the likes he had never seen. The drinks were fantastic, the food of the finest quality, and the bards played excellent music. The town was filled with joy and celebration everyday, it seemed. This commotion though, it is something else entirely. He opened the window, and looked outside. Guards were assembled by the gates, and houses were all locked up. Everyone seemed to be carrying a weapon of some sort now. "The town guard humbly requests any and all assistance. Our numbers are thin from the constant raids. We ask that all able-bodied men take up arms and join our ranks. Women and children will be escorted to the castle momentarily." the captain of the guards announced. "I am but an old man, but I will fight alongside you!" an old man walked up to the formation of guards with a small hammer in his hand. Many others soon followed suit, inspired by the old man. "We thank you all. Your service to the town will be rewarded handsomely!" the captain assured the assembled townsfolk. Alcarnus began gearing up. He donned his armour, and readied his sword. He walked down the cramped stairs to the first floor, making sure to take a piece of meat left behind. As soon as he walked out the doors, all eyes were on him. A few whispers could be heard mentioning him. He approached the formation of guards. "Mi will klomp for shara goi." he bellowed. A thunderous roar of applause sounded off as the clearly relieved townsfolk approved of this. Their numbers may be thin, but the towering giant would undoubtedly even the outcome of the battle greatly. An 11 feet tall Orc wielding a sword the size of a Human is not a sight one wants to see in any battle. A loud warcry could be heard in the distance. It got closer and closer by the second. "Ready your weapons!" The gates exploded all of a sudden, and a furious horde of angry men came rushing in. "Hold your ground!" "Glazug votar! For honour!" Alcarnus charged, and in doing so, the formation of Human raiders seemed to come to a halt. Their wide-eyed terror only served to fuel the Orc's bloodlust. From there, the battle was a bloodbath. Suffice it to say, the town never had a problem with raiders after that day. News of an Orcish giant protecting their town was enough to deter any future attacks. The Town of joy remained joyful. Anything else you would like to say?: Alcarnus invented cologne for Orcs, after he found out why Humans did not want to be too close to him. He smashed rose petals and coconuts together. The end result rather satisfactory. He held a conversation with the puny Human female for an entire night without her being repulsed by his smell! Also, a special thank you to everblue2er101 and Aryon<3 for helping me out and being patient!

How did you hear about us?: I friend of mine played on this server a while ago, and recommended I take a look at it sometime. Well, suffice it to say, I am liking what I see so far. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: I have never made an application for Lord of the Craft. This is my first. In-Character: Character Name: Alcarnus What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Orc. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Nomad. Although, his mother was a Goblin, and his great-grandfather was a Goblin as well. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Name: Alcarnus Age: 69 Sex: Male Personality: Aggressive, Honourable, Quiet Height: 10'9" Weight: 492 lbs. Body Type: Lean/Muscular Hair Color: Light Brown Eye Color: Blood Red ------- History ------- Alcarnus, the name itself does not sound at all Orcish. His father was killed while battling Undead forces. His mother died giving birth to him. Out of all his siblings, Alcarnus is the youngest, and most "different". Well, his entire family was different, if you think about it. They were Orcs, and yet, they live in a settlement with Humans. In one of his many military campaigns, Uracnuz, Alcarnus' father, saw Humans in a new light. A certain squad of Humans, some of them were even females, had single-handedly wiped out half his forces. They were eventually defeated, but for their bravery and prowess on the battlefield, Uracnuz granted them the privilege and honor of living. Now, these Humans live and breed alongside Orcs in this settlement. The clan his father created was well hidden and secluded. Hidden away within the shadows of the massive mountains. Alcarnus grew up alongside his six brothers and two sisters. They were all trained and taught the ways of the Orcs. Even the Human children were trained as Orcs. His family was always the brightest of Orcs, but Alcarnus, he was something different. He always seemed to know the answers to things. He was often the brightest in his classes, even the ones the Humans took he excelled in. His mind was a gift from his father, whose intelligence went very well with his strength and courage in battle. As a child, Alcarnus struggled to live up to his father's name. He felt that it was his rightful place as leader of the clan. His ideas and philosophy soon caught the eye of the council. They smiled upon him, for he was a true son of Uracnuz. He showed so much potential and promise, that one of the most respected elders in the clan taught him the arts of war. He trained and studied for years. All was not as well as it seemed, though. For Alcarnus' brothers were not very fond of him. The firstborn was the true heir to the reigns of leadership. It was his destiny to reclaim his father's title and lead the horde to victory! Alcarnus' brothers soon confronted him. They asked him to step down, and take his place as an inferior. Alcarnus was stubborn, and refused. He went against every Orcish tradition, and went against his eldest brother. This is where it all fell upon. In the midst of the night, while he was sleeping, Alcarnus' brothers dragged him out of his blissful slumber. They took him into the forest, and beat him senseless. He had no chance to fight. Alcarnus saw this, and began to run. He ran as far as he could. He collapsed in a desert after two days of running, with an arrow in his leg, and a dagger in his upper left back. His own family betrayed him. His own family left him for dead. Alcarnus is now an outcast, shunned by his very own blood. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Although this does not concern him, and it is a mere halfling, there is no honour in harassing such a creature to no gain. Alcarnus unsheathes his blade and charges at the attackers. After he has killed them, he decapacitates them, and tells the halfling to get out of his sight. If the halfling stays and barrages the Orc with gratefulness, Alcarnus will then kill it without warning. For it is a shame and dishonour to be unable to fight one's own battles. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Throm'Ka, pinkskin! I want lat sharpest zults, agh finest gears of war you have." Alcarnus would ask for the sharpest and pointiest thing on the table. If they do not have any in stock, he would get the biggest and juiciest hunk of beef. He would rarely buy from merchants in the first place, however. He sees them as weak, arrogant, and greedy little creatures with no sense of pride. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: There is no honour in stealing what others earned. It is much more satisfactory and honourable to work for your own tools and treasures. He leaves the items alone. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Throm'Ka, bruddahs! Mi want bubhosh buub now." He would dine alongside his comrades for a little while, then ask for directions to the nearest Orc stronghold. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Alcarnus would pick up the nearest weapon and assemble alongside the guards, ready to defend the town with his life. Why? Well, you get to smash some dishonourable coward's skull, and you get paid doing it. What better thing in life is there? Anything else you would like to say?: Alcarnus invented cologne for Orcs, after he found out why Humans did not want to be too close to him. He smashed rose petals and coconuts together. The end result rather satisfactory. He held a conversation with the puny Human female for an entire night without her being repulsed by his smell!
