Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?Having just left the peaceful monks of the Cloud Temple I am filled with a sense of peace, this is shattered upon seeing the warriors harassing this poor halfling. I know it's not my place, but i feel obligated to do something. I approach the warriors and ask what the problem seems to be. They explain that they are questioning the halfling about a series of robberies at a nearby city. Satisfied with their explanation I move on, wondering what the halflings fate will be.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?I would respond by politely asking to take a look at his wares, knowing i probably cant afford anything. I examine the tools wondering if its true what my father always said, that nothing compares to dwarven craftmanship. I thank the merchant but tell I wont be needing anything today.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:I pick up the sword and swing it a few times, wondering why anyone would choose this flimsy shard of metal over a good, sturdy stone axe. I put the sword back but take the iron, planning to make an iron axe later. I stay in the hut overnight to see if anyone comes back for their stuff, but leave the next morning satisfied that the hut was abandoned.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?I introduce myself and ask what they have for trade. Not having much money, I trade my iron bars and a stone pickaxe for some food and ale, and a bed for the night. The next morning I thank the traders for their hospitality and for proving my father wrong, that not all humans are arrogant and deceitful.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:I approach the leader of the town guard and ask how i can help. "Can you swing that axe?" he ask. "Yes sir", I reply confidently, but secretly wonder what I'm getting myself into. That night we make our assault on the bandits camp, the town guard leads with me and a few other mercenaries bringing up the rear. I had practiced with a battle axe plenty of time but this wasn't play time anymore. The town guard struck first surprising the bandits as they drank looted ale around their fire. I watched as the bandits were cut down one by one. Suddenly i was surprised by a bandit screaming from my flank. Turning just in time I land a blow with my axe killing the bandit. This is the first man I've killed, and although I feel justified, I know somehow it has changed me.
The next morning I collect my reward and move on seeking more adventures.
Anything else you would like to say?:I look forward to roleplaying on this beautiful server.
