    "It is more traditional, and more skillful, rather, that a hunter would slay the beast with a melee weapon. It adds much more of a challenge, and it would make the Hunt much more exciting - in having to be able to corner the large beast and slay it. To use a long-ranged weapon during the event would simply make it stale. The purpose of the event is not only to slay the beast, but in doing so, you hone your own fighting skill with a blade, or whatever other melee weapon you would choose for the event. Normal weaponry, or more common ones, to use against Boars are spears and daggers."

    "So, ye' traveler of Athera, do you fancy yourself a huntsman?"
    The herald states, before handing you a flier. It reads the following;

    The Boar Hunt of Pravets!

    The Regent of Pravets, Marvin Valentine, has been gracious in allowing all denizens of Pravets, and those of the Realm of Athera, to participate in this year's Boar Hunt! All races, no matter what you may perhaps be, are allowed to attend, so long as they follow rules and regulations. Said rules and regulations apply to any who wish to participate in not only the Boar Hunt, but the other activities as well. There shall also be a festival before the Hunt, and a feast afterwards.

    Any questions are to be sent to Marvin Valentine.

    Rules and Regulations:

    Most important of all, perhaps, is to maintain common sense!

    No magic of any sort is permitted in the hunt.

    No long-ranged weaponry are permitted.

    No use of alchemy or drugs are permitted.

    No use of fire or explosives in any shape or form.

    No harm or harassment is to become of any fellow participants of any and all of the activities!

    To those who wish to participate in the Boar Hunt:

    There is no fee for entry, and spears will be provided for those without arms to hunt with.

    There is some danger in the skirmish and thus children, halflings, and pregnant ladies will not be allowed to participate for their own safety.

    There shall be a total of three adult, male boars. All of which shall be given a thirty second head start against their hunters.

    Whoever lands the killing blow on the Boar obtains the head, or heads, for those who believe they can slay perhaps all three!

    The prize for killing the Boar are as follows:
    A blade, that made of the finest steel, as to make it quite sturdy and less breakable than most swords, it has quite the sharp edge to it as well. It will be given to the finest hunter.

    There will be a reward of 600 minas per Boar killed.

    The hunter is allowed to keep the Boar head if he or she wishes to do so.

    Other Activities:

    Not a hunter? More of a drinker, perhaps? Or the common gambler? There shall be a drinking contest in the Turncrow's Tankard and blackjack, during the festivities!

    None of the above? We offer you the chance to sell your wares during the festival, and feast!

    There shall also be dancing, of course, for all the fair maidens of the Realm.

    Performers shall be available for entertainment, performing tricks and the like. You yourself can participate as a performer as well! Performers must, however, send a bird to Marvin Valentine.

    Times are as the following, 10/11/14
    Festival starts at 4:00 EST. Hunters rally at 4:45, hunt starts at 5:05, ends at 5:30-5:45, feast afterwards.

    Prizes are an unbreaking sword  with +36%, and 1k minas per boar head.
