  1. Borric sits by his bunk in the barracks, fiddling his new Badge of Squireship as he heard the criers shout out the news. He looks over his shoulder into the street, the robed men fanatically shouting.

"Long live the Empire. Long live the Horen-Hightowers.'

Borric mutters, as he prepares to plan the coming training session for the conscripts.

  2. Borric scrambles over a short wall into the restricted area, heading for the church. As he enters through the doors, he see the sight before him...

The Entire floor of the church, blasted upwards, the remains of carpet and pews littered among the rubble. Borric turns to the last pew, which stands to the edge of the hole. He sits down and Bows his head.

"This area is restricted. What are you doing here?" Says an official, looking at Borric.

    "Praying Mi'lord."

"Well, carry on then." The clergy man says, smiling as he turns away, leaving Borric on the last pew.

As much as I want to disbelieve it... It is probably true...

Seems as though I support this purge.

  5. Out-Of-Character

    Minecraft Account Name: Knightei

    How old are you?: 15

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT 0 - London, England

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I would like to think that I have, yes. However I can tend to become sloppy in my grammar and such when I've gone through a large period of time, without sleeping (which isn't that much I assure you)

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Well, I'm a rather odd fellow, if I'm completely honest, and I tend to use rather... Old words, due to my delight in annoying my peers at school. I'm also a rather loyal person if I see reason to (be loyal that is), as I tend to not leave server unless I disagree with new Moderators or the server falls into decline (mainly the latter). However, I'm a rather joyful person, not prone to anger or depression, and as an added bonus, I have next to no social life! Which aids in the following question:

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Anything upwards from 10 hours a week

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roll playing is the act of putting yourself into a fictional (or just another) person's shoes, for the sake of enjoyment. It is similar to acting, in a sense, but without a script (in the game sense mainly).

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: A few years worth of playing 'RP' game types on War Craft III, and a brief experience on InifinityCraft (Defunct, but left due to tyrannical admin). I also spent a huge amount of time on CIVRP (a rather infamous server in my opinion), and managed to become a moderator, but resigned due to too much strain on myself as other staff members were neglecting their post, and I stopped playing due to the server shutting down.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is when a person takes OOC (Out Of Character) information, and decides to use it in an IC (In Character) fashion. An example of this is users talking over Skype to co-ordinate plans in sieges over incredibly long distances (longer than it is possible to speak in game) or to use information during the wandering soul stage (such as finding an abandoned home with rather good loot) and then use that information IC.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting is when a player completely dominates other's in game. An example of this is saying "Kyle unsheathes his sword, then swings it, decapitating Jim". This gives too much power to Kyle, and gives no chance to Jim. It can potentially lead to over-powered people, and removed most elements of RP.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect (and have seen during my wandering soul stage) this server to be a complete role-play experience, which can cause in myself and others, enjoyment and other emotions through the playing of the game.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have already explained this in the Past-RP Experiences Question by accident, sorry...

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I do. However, I dislike the fact 'Lying' is a villainous offence, as it can (and is) used regularly in real life, and in character, to better your position in the world and 'help' (such as lying to keep someone from doing damage etc.) Also, in the "War Rules" section, 'permanently' is incorrectly spelt as 'perminantly' in the rule about leaders dying.

How did you hear about us?: Via word of 'mouth', as some one I know plays (or played, as I haven't 'seen' him for a long time (his Username is TheCrackerJack if he's actually here and is the same person)) and via videos on youtube.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: No, this is my first application.

    In-Character:

    Character Name: Borric Tyrus

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I'm the a-typical Human.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Borric, unlike most street orphans, knew his parents, or more like their professions. His father was a Guard to an unknown lord in the Holy Oren Empire, and his mother who was a prostitute. Born on an unknown day, in the year 37, he spent early life as a leech upon Arethor. He lived with a bunch of orphans, living on what little they could steal, untill Borric took a target too greedy for such an orphan boy. He decided for a pie. A simple target no? By simply standing behind a rather large woman, and then, when his friends distracted the baker, take the pie and walk off. Well, what they didn't account for, was the Baker's Assistant. He spotted Borric as he went for the pie and the words streamed out:

    "Thief!"

Little Borric, never ran so much in his life. Darting in and out of the houses surrounding the stall he stole from, the guards chased him relentlessly. That is, until he jumped into a nearby river. War swirled around the boy, pushing him under the water. He come close to drowning, and this lead to his fear of water. A very deep fear. He was then pulled out of the water, (ironically) by another guard, not knowing about his recent crimes up stream. "Come here boy, your safe now..." Said this nameless guard. And Borric, from this point on, did no more crimes. His fellow orphans mocked him, "Why stop Borric?" "Are you a chicken?!" they would say. That guard inspired him in sorts, the small insignia on his tabard, sticking in his mind.

He now had a goal in life.

Life after that for Borric, was very uneventful, managing to scrape a living by begging and occasionally running errands for shop keepers. As he grew older, he worked more and more with smiths, so, on any occasion he could swing a sword around, messing around with it. He grew into his skin, working on his skills, until it has lead to this point. Then, at 17, he decided to take a pilgrimage to the Cloud Temple, to wash himself from his past sins, in the hopes it makes him a more legitimate candidate for the Grand Oren Empire's Ranks of men

What are your Character's ambitions?: Well, Borric, would like to become part of the Holy Orren Empire's Military in any form, or become a mercenary if not.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The sword, as it is a graceful thing. The tool of an artist. Well, not in his hands, at this stage at least, but he hopes to become great with this weapon.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? He's managed to acquire rather good stamina due the amount of running he has done over the years, as a messenger or running from the law.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ):

Other Information about your Character: He's Mortally afraid to go IN water, due to his past experiences.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Borric stands back and asses whats happening... They are armed... Heavily... And what does Borric have? A small dagger he's managed to buy with what little he has. Should he charge forwards, like he should as an aspiring law-upholder? Or be sensible and skirt around it... The decision is quickly made however. He was born on the streets, so caution is well bred into him. Borric walks off, and skirts around the confrontation between the halfling and the bandits. Atleast it won't harm his conscious for too long!

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Borric: Why hello... *Borric looks through the man's wares, seeing some food here, drink there, and at the back, a small golden dagger*

*Then without warning, Borric's stomach growls, which makes the merchant laugh*

Merchant: I think, you'll be wanting some food then!

Borric: Haha... Yes, I think I may!

Merchant: This fine loaf of bread would appease your appetite! *The merchant picks up some bread from a basket near the front of the stall*

Borric: I think it may, how much is it?

Merchant: For you? 5 Minas! ((I have no idea how cheap the economy is in the game))

Borric: Its better than nothing. *Hands over the five coins, and takes the bread, chewing on it as he walks off*

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Wow, Borric thinks, this is... A good find... Should I take it? Well, its not mine, but this place looks abandoned... Borric walks out, and looks around, finding no clue to recent habitation. "Well, I'll have it then!" He says aloud, and grabs the items, carefully concealing them in his pack. Borric quickly turns around and walks off.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Hello... Have you got... Food?... And directions?" Borric says

Man: Yes, what happened to you?

Borric: I... Got lost... * Looks ashamed *

Man: Well, we'll help a little bit, but we can't spare much...

*Borric quickly follows the man, and accepts whats given to him.*

Man: Now the road is that way *points east*, follow it south to the capital, and may god protect you...

Borric: Thank you... Thank you very much! *Scampers off into the undergrowth.*

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Borric pushes his way forwards, saying if they give him a sword, he will help! However, his youth makes the Guard Commander wary of handing this young man a sword, Can he handle it? He wonders...

"Boy, what makes you think I'll give you, a sword?"

Borric: A boy?! I'm a man! I can handle a sword as well as most people!

Commander: Okay, I see you point, but stay back for gods sake, and help only if its needed. *Orders a shortsword to be given to Borric* Oh, and I want that back!

Anything else you would like to say?: Not really, nope!

[Quick edit: Just to add a small thing at the end of his biography]
