  1. Aeolus of Khamees reads the history with a click of his tongue. Somewhere far in the recesses of his mind, a few things nag at him.

"Valyris was married to Indris, not Indril. Valyris spread nothing about Illyria...reeks of Raziel's inherent Fennic brain rot."

The white-haired elf which spoke faded from sight. Brief glimpses of old Haelun'or, of the camp, of Fi'Andria, and of a seaside wedding muddled the thoughts. "Hm." Was all the paladin thought on the histories of the darkspawn adled nation before returning to his alchemical creations.

"Earendel Ibarellan is the Prince of Malinor."

Was all Aeolus of Khamees would say aloud, golden haired and golden eyed, The white haired elf and his history was quickly drowned out from his mind. Quiet once more, he returned to his tasks.

  2. It just isn't that deep and isn't needed. If you think it's being abused, report that abuse to ST. No reason to ruin a really cool, very open feat that is purely aesthetic by turning it into some dumb crap with tiers, required forum essays, and an age restriction. Let people enjoy their aesthetic flairs ffs.

Also, why the **** can an azdrazi corrupt a mindscape when they have no real ability to corrupt someone and aren't considered darkspawn outside of paladin lore really?

Aobh finds her once student at some point. Overhearing his words, she would begin to violently beat him. "Listen here you drug adled elf. You are a paladin. You do not get to interfere with worldly politics. Only Xan. Your only focus should be to kill darkspawn."

Dusting off her hands, she'd return to fishing while the other elf returned to sailing. "Oh how I've missed you..." She'd whisper to the bottle of alcohol beside her as another fish takes the bait.

  4. Proposed new redline:

-Ordained heralds who have learned all of the spells and have been ordained for 2+ months are able to be taken off of the MA/CA of the person who originally heralded them.

    Reason:

Allows for more growth in the community akin to other magics/feats. If people are found abusing they should be punished for herald spam. Not the entire community.

  5. Nothing you are going to write on a forum post is going to be important enough to reserve a spot. There are infinite replies available to the playerbase. That said, the rules have more or less been the exact same for 6+ years guys. The only difference is how its handled depends on which admin/mods run the forums at the time. When I did most of it I just hid the anon/reserve/etc posts and left it at that. When others do it they give warnings, and others yet just give 0 point reminders. For some reason people find being given a 0 point reminder to be the worst thing you could do to them.

End of the day I think the rules work well and they just need more consistency over the years on how they're handled/enforced. That's the only change that needs to occur.

  6. "I cannot believe Celia'nor just bent the knee to Haelun'or without a war....Ivarielle surely weeps within whatever hellscape she's fled to." Aeolus of Khamees murmurs, brows rising to his hairline as he reads the missive. "Hopefully Haelun'or can evict the darkspawn from Celia'nor's walls." He'd then offer the missive to Hileia of Arbi'a and Elarhil of Ithnain.

Lower most CA's respawn timer too, lets them do more player-events and losing isn't a long respawn timer so they'll be more okay with losing.

    See the Deadmen

If there's a way for people outside of their CA to pk them I think they should have a lower CD. If they don't I think it should be longer tbh. Its really annoying when ppl you kill just respawn instantly or within the day without extra effort (see: fw ritual being based) needed. Makes it all pointless.

If it is the case already, it's not listed on the lore pieces, so it deserves clarification. Not sure about what happened with Klones and as for people abusing it, I'm sure ST could catch stuff like that happening and enforce the timers anyways/give out warnings. This is mainly to protect these CAs/MAs from PVP cases they don't want to be part of. As it stands, I believe that most of these creatures wish to engage in CRP over PVP as it brings a better story. Why punish people for getting trapped in an unwanted PVP scenario?

I don't think you understood what I said. I'm saying that if you change the redlines to be this, when they already don't face consequences for pvp, people will abuse it and have their friends vote in favor of pvp and deny it themselves in some scenarios so they don't face the CD. You need to change the redlines you suggested a bit to make this not abusable.

  9. Pretty sure the pvp pk clause for klones was already removed since it originally specified pvp or crp death. I'm pretty sure all of the CAs/MAs that have PK clauses already don't count pvp- though I do agree with enforcing it on ones that do push for pvp over crp. This could be easily abused though by having all of your friends vote in favor of pvp and having you abstain or vote no to avoid consequence....

The rewrite looks good! There's only one issue of concern for me: blood magic and shamanism. If blood magic isn't compatible with templarism or paladinism (both deific magics), would it make sense that it would be incompatible with shamanism, too? I understand a lot of shamans use blood magic currently and would push against this on the grounds that BM does not impact the soul, but that would no longer be true if this magic passed (I.E, bloodshard). Even beyond that small detail, however, there is the matter of genus manipulation conflicting with the spirit's power. If the spirits dislike their shamans using any other power which conflicts with their own (you could argue a blood magic that causes lethargy does that) then would they truly permit it's use?

At the very least, it may make sense to localize disdain of blood magic to specific spirits that would not favor it due to it's deleterious effects on the body, like Scorthuz. Maybe a spirit like Gazigash or Kinul might favor it, but it wouldn't make sense for a spirit like Akezo or Scorthuz to be too thrilled about it.

Any thoughts? Other than that this is a much needed rehabilitation for a legendary magic.

I would think that blood magic is incompatible with paladinism and templarism due to their nature as deific magics. Inherently 'holy' whereas things like druidism, shamanism, etc don't have that issue and should still be compatible? That would make sense to me, at least. I hope the amendment doesn't get rid of the cool aesthetic combinations people have made over the time since blood magic became a solid thing again.

People that want ftbing with corpsemancers banned aren't projecting, don't see the need to explain the psychology when it's stated in-post that they are corpses. I've seen myself that necros have said weird shit about their characters and shared weirder art when in covens that didn't already enforce the no romance, no FTB rp that the Iblees coven did. Unfortunately it is a prevalent enough issue.

nah this is for ALL necromancers. Necros aren't inherently corpses presently, theyre just mortals who r rly fucked up.

It's an insult only you believed it to be. If I knew this guy was gonna make such a suggestion, i would have helped him to improve the format at least as I don't rlly care if someone who is not involved with us writes something out but at the same time, let's say it gets accepted. It isn’t going to affect him but the people within the community who had 0 say on this. Hence, why I said if he had given a heads up, a thing called communication(at least on my part) could have been achieved to assist him in this or specify how really seer inner things work.

idk sounds like OP hit the nail on the head since the only complaints have been the colors used and not being given a heads up.

if you take up the mantle of rp'ing a server villain who cuts open corpses and has slowly rotting and aging flesh idk why you're saying to yourselves 'surely the best path for character development is romance rp'. like if you can't conceive of any other way to rp and produce character development other than romance rp ('It doesn't allow for character growth' 'then we'll have bland and edgy necros running around' 'I personally don't see limiting oneself to such a degree necessary') then you are beyond saving and should be struck away from the earth through divine intervention. as if not being able to romance rp is somehow 'limiting' to your character; there are oodles of ways to roleplay an interesting villain without having to resort to kissy smoochy rp, and if you lack the creative imagination to admit such then I'm afraid you don't deserve the narrative gift that you've been given

you are villains, act like them; surely that is doable in an interesting manner without saying 'oh dearie me, my lover abandoned me because I'm a slowly rotting servant of the devil who's aging at a rapid rate and cuts open corpses on the regular and murders people'

because unless you are romance rping with a ******* weirdo that is what will inevitably happen

Okay. While I think BBEG darkspawn being slice of life uwu characters is lame I will say. Just because someone roleplays something evil doesn't immediately mean that that character would have no heart/want an emotional connection to something/etc. It isn't that they can't see any other route to character development but rather I think that its just one of many routes used to help develop a character. Even a lot of serial killers were married with kids irl.

That said, I 100% support making things like this unromanceable because on lotc a lot of people who start doing romance ONLY end up doing romance or the 'hes evil but I fixed him' trope. It's unfortunate.
