The Knights of The Red Cross:

The clash of steel upon steel echoes throught the mountains of Kaedrin and the valleys of Valles as two recruits hammer at each other with swords. Bannermen line the walls partolling, and knights ride out on crusade to fight back to Dwarven Heretics. The cold mountain air blew across the face of the soldiers who gripped their weapons tightly to fend it off. This was no ordinary gust of win, it hailed from the ruins of the Cloud Temple nearby, home of the Black Scourge.

History:

Formed when various town guards, free fighters and guilds joined together in Valles, the Red Cross simply sought to protect Valles and later on Kaedrin. However, King Heinrik saw great heroism in them for fighting against the Rebels, Dwarves, Elves and Black Scourge alone while being separated from Oren and gave Jon Othaman the ability to knight his men.

Purpose:

The Knights of the Red Cross fight at the frontier of Oren. Their job is to raid, protect against raids and defend the homes of those on the frontier. It is no easy job yet very rewarding. Armor is given to those in battle who need it and much wealth is gained on the frontier.

Ranks:

Recruit:

A recruit is a new member of the order. A recruit can only be promoted after his first 3 days of initiation in which he must prove him self through his consistency, and diligence.

Bannerman:

A Bannerman is one of the most common ranks in the order. It is the time for any member to prove their skills and try to promote their skills to the rest of the high ranking officers.

Sergeant:

Sergeants are those who are in the stage before knight hood, where they train and prove themselves to their superiors. They will often be leading raiding parities along with Elites.

Knight:

The rank of a knight is only available when a member has went through all of the ranks. A member who receives this title has improved his worth by dedicating time and thought to the order. A member who is knighted will be knighted by the Marquis of Valles him self, and will receive the title "Sir." therefore becoming a knight of Oren.

Grand Sir:

A member receives Noble Sir through seniority. A member does not need to prove his worth any more to receive his rank, as the member has already should have proved his worth many times before. A noble sir is considered as an officer who will mainly be leading the Order along with the Lord Commander, and High Knight.

Lord Commanders:

Lord Commanders are the second in command of the order, after the high knight.  Lord Commanders lead the guild while the High Knight is gone. A person who is Lord Commander is only given the title if he trusted with the High Knight.

High Knight:

A High Knight, is the first in command who takes care of the whole order. He usually promotes and makes all of the drastic decisions for the order. He consults and takes care of the order's diplomatic and public relations and makes sure that all is well inside the order.

Uniform:

The order does not have a uniform yet, but each member of the order is required to wear a Red Cross somewhere on his clothing.

House Othaman

History:

Who knew that a small nomad peasant would one day be something more? It started when Jon, a 10 year old nomad traveled place to place selling his wares with his mother. He was a strong lad, not that tall but built and very quick. Mud and dirt was always covered on his face, and it coated him like a set of clothes the day the Prince road into Abresi.

Jon stooped to the Prince as he stopped infront of him for by chance Jon had happened to be in his way. Standing up slowly, Jon looked at Prince David Winter of Herendul, the man he would forever think of as a father. The Prince saw worth in Jon and recruited him into the Winterguard with hopes that one day he could learn to become a knight.

8 years of hard work, battling evil, and bitter Northern cold paid off as Jon was knighted for his efforts. 3 years after he was married and had two baby girls named Arcell and Priscilla whom he raised on a small peice of land he owned in Herendul. Finally, the King of Herendul summoned Sir Jon who took the name Othaman. The King gave Sir Jon Othaman a mission to unite the squabbling lands of the Cloud Temple and bring them under Herendul.

He began by raising a small force and marched to one of the towns. Town by town, house by house, farmer by farmer, they united in a territory led by Sir Jon Othaman who took the title Lord Protector. After a few more years of expanding, Jon was met by the kidnapping and missing of his wife. Times were hard so the Lord Protector gathered his bannermen, various guilds, and town guards into one group named the Red Cross.

They trained, scouted, fought, and died until they grew to be one. Seperated from Herendul and Oren, the newly made Viscounty called Valles was on their own as they battled rebels, Dwarves, Orcs, Elves, and the Black Scourge whom they were surronded by. However, they did not give up, and after two heroic battles they became a March and a force to be matched with none other.

Herendul joined with the Kingdom of Oren due to the wisdom of King Edward Winter II now known as Archduke Edward Winter II. Marquis Jon Othaman became friends with the king, and together with the other nobles they planned an invasion on the Dwarves, an invasion they cannot lose. Already they have won a battle in Dwarven lands and taken the Dwarven held Kaedrin lands as their own. They would be an Empire.

Valles:

Warm summers and cold winters are what the peaceful meadows and forests of Valles experienced. A couple towns lie scattered across it, and though the people are peaceful they are prepared for the looming cold of the Scourge. Townspeople join the Town Levy in times of battle for short periods of time and after may attend to their fields and families. All it is good in this part of the world.

Kaedrin

A place plagued by war and death. Streching from looming mountains to dark forests, Kaedrin is no place for the weak of heart. Yet, in the valleys can be found some of the most beautiful landscapes of the world where shining lakes glisten and animals graze. On top of one of the mountain peaks sits the Fortress of the Red Cross where the knightly order keeps watch of those they serve and protect.

"Foolish rebels, enemies of Oren and allies of hell, did you not see the carnage of your friends earlier this elven day? In less then an elven week you are next. One of your leaders, Lucius Tython, refused for you to be reconciled, recognized as a barony, and to fight besides Oren's great armies. He denied you the chance of life and for that you will have to spend the rest of your short lives fighting besides the Black Scourge and Dwarves.

However, I have decided to offer one last mercy. What chance is there of you having victory after Oren and its allies rushed a single bridge while under fire of the Black Scourge, Dwarves and Teutonic Order and still destroyed the enemy easily. Our armies are vast, our soldiers elite, and our commanders great.

Throw down your weapons and join the Red Cross of Valles, and you shall live in the beautiful meadows and forests of Valles. If you are afraid of losing your homes or rooms, place a red peice of wool infront of your door next to the sign that says the house is yours the day of the battle and do not attend the battle. Do this, and you shall be saved. Otherwise you will spend the rest of your lives in exile to be hunted, your families slaughtered and your homes burned with the knowledge that you could have been saved. You could be living in happiness. You could be living in peace."

A not-so-friendly guy. He kind sticks with his clique but I've had good experiences with him. He helped me with a lot of stuff, but I don't think he'd be a very god Moderator. I'm neutral, though.

I disagree. To be honest, this guy was the only guy who helped me when I joined the server. He taught me what was right and wrong, and until today I am grateful for him helping me.
