  1. Like I said before, Kowaman, you are going about this all wrong you have to stop modeling off other maps, and try to fix the current one to what it is and see how that works. We built Athera off of Aegis that didn't work, it's not worth to keep nexus Plots on Athera and just wait for a map that can be worse than Athera. Your current idea is like Asulon, alot has changed since Asulon, different players different opinions my suggestion is to just implement a Nexus system that fits the facade of the current map and see how that works.

  2. Land scarring and griefing happens sometimes even with perms. It's minecraft. Deal with it. If you see a griefer, modrreq for a GM, ban the asswipes and get it repaired. Don't punish the entire flock for something a minority could do.

And how exactly important is a few ugly structures or damages compared to good and exciting roleplay? Why should something that is natural in minecraft bother you?

That process can take awhile, sure that happens with perms but it will be less frequent w/ perms whereas w/o you would have too many complaints to even handle.

  3. I think that this isn't really a step forward but rather piling on to more issues but adding more complicated technical aspects to the plugin etc. I think that something that worked very well was the old regions system, in terms of plots. I think that the region management is a good idea, I don't mind the way you manage your region its just the plots idea and trying to modify is a bad idea. Try to get rid of the plots return to old regions like we used to have.

Event Details (Reason for actions. Apology. Nordicgod who was once a charming man like the Smiths song decided to banish me, so I make an appeal. Sorry for all I have done I just want to live without a shoah, please enjoy some nice Israeli funk.

Kaila looks to the place card and shrugs. She had been doing a fine job mending since first learning back in Kingston. She seems unbothered by the remarks. A single pendant marking her frame. A quartz necklace that was the last reminder of the brother she once knew, before he turned.

Branaford ponders if she means her brother or her lover?

  6. Gonna have to agree w/ Publius here. I find it quite hypocritical to see such avid rp'ers who want their rp to go against Forced Conquest, denying conquest isn't even rp, what stops you from conquering ic lol nothing, its all ooc boundaries. So to me it seems like you don't actually value dynamic rp, consequences that happen in rp and just act selfish working for your own ooc benefit, which isn't really acting like a proper rp'er. You could argue that Oren is a **** rp nation but really look at the situation, Oren is one of the only nations that actually values dynamic rp, many Orenian nation leaders have accepted consequences in rp and went by doing so, Andrik Vydra, Franz Carrion, etc, and you can't really say that to other nation leaders, I hate to point fingers but specifically to the man who created this thread who's char by all means should b pk'd and a man who was for forced conquest before Oren wanted to conquer his nation.

  7. I have yet to see where the Cerulin tavern is. But if you can't keep your taverns active because there are better taverns thats an ic problem. You should get someone who can actually own and make events there not just ignore it. If you want your tavern to be active give them reason to go there not just remove other taverns in hope they will flock to yours, which they won't. A new tavern will just be rebuilt elsewhere. It does not matter where the tavern is, it will always get rp and has done since there was a roadside tavern in Anthos.

The roadside tavern in Anthos was completely dead even though it was footsteps away from spawn and most rp happened in the Conclave and Abresi, before that Salvus and Malinor player retention was much higher then, this is when city rp dominated there is obviously a good incentive behind city rp, and tavern rp shouldn't be favored by the staff over city rp like Shiftnative did.

  8. Where is tavern rp being endorsed by staff? Just because they are closer to the cloud temple, if that would be the case than why isn't the orc thing filled with people at all times, the problem is that Zero's tavern is actually active and Petrus's is not. Pretty sure the Elven and Dwarven tavern is as busy at times while I have yet to see anyone in the Petrus tavern, besides from when Urara was the owner of it. This would be weird in itself if Oren wasn't the biggest nation with the most people, but even though they have the most people their tavern is less active than the Elves.

I really don't care which tavern is bigger than which I am pro city rp not tavern rp and idc what city it is generally but I think there are several other cities who should blooming much more than roadside taverns, something which shiftnative himself favored (the man who built this map) tried to do. And this hasn't worked well what so ever, taverns have so far proved to kill the noob retention whereas cities were much better at that. Cities play a huge roll in player retention, not taverns and player retention is something we need to focus on because we have lost a significant amount of players and most noobs who apply dont even stay.

  9. Jachun if you cannot get rp to your capital and cling to the excuse that theres taverns then its not really a capital its a ghost town. Stop blaming the fact that your nation capital cannot get rp. Every other capital has rp and theres still taverns so maybe nobody wants to go there?

I agree that Petrus isn't attracting any rp but there are several other capitals such as Cerulin who could be blooming much more than taverns rn, and taverns are a large component when it comes to straining.

  10. Maybe the staff aren't the ones owning the tavern. Maybe just a simple player?

And this proposal is rather not fair to be honest.

Nations get prebuilt cities. and structures before the map release and feel threatened over small plots? Now thinking of having people kneel to them because some are butthurt or jealous over a building? Taking down a rb hub just to chance it ? What roleplay reason would it be if there is no rp reason for it? Im pretty sure most OOC will be taken into Ic. I may be wrong and paranoid ? Just a curious thing. Is this conquest over the small map or just some getting tired of abandoned settlements? maybe conquest abandoned plots not heavily populated. Or the people will just scatter again . What next "Wheres the roleplay at? where is everyone? " Where do I go? Who can I go to to ask where to go ?"

I think you are thinking way too highly of the situation, I am implying that tavern rp is more so endorsed by the staff than nation capital rp, they pose no threat hence why no nation has even attacked your tavern yet, but it is a very huge factor as to why players are less attracted to capitals, most rp happen in a tavern isolated from a city whereas in other days most capital rp was in a tavern inside a city.

  11. Guys its not the end of the world. Go make a new continent for current events, make a thread on it, and keep posted on it so it is an active island. There you go. Get approval for a new one

I don't mean to be offensive but I assure you if something like this happened to your characters as well you would be more so irate than us so save me your "stop complaining."
