This note is placed on Artimec's deskGiven name(RP name): Valmir Audane(Skype name if you have one): theflyingpenTrue name(MC name): theflyingpenRace: Elf (high-elf)Authentic magic user?(accepted magic user?): no, at least not yetIf so what form of magic ye use?: noneDo ye seek adventure, knowledge, and companionship?:since my parents died leaving myself all alone in the world for over the past hundred years I have never stayed in one place for too long, normally long enough to read through every book in the library that was related to my current research topic, the most common being the Arcane arts and magical beings/items. I spent nearly my entire life searching for rumors of tomes and books that would run through a family for generations just to find out a rumor was false. It wasn't until my return to the new Malinor when I met Nienna again that I felt that my life alone looking for magic was not what was actually meant for me. the century that I spent in traveling study was productive but at costs now that I am only beginning to see and feel. I made a decision earlier today that I needed friends, and a new family, and following that epitome in conversation with Nienna when she told me of The Arcane Delvers.-snip-
*A bird returns to Valmir*
Well, you come well recommended.
Make your way to Ac'talareh, if you've spoken to Nienna then I suppose you'll know the way. Speak with Hera regarding a bed and an outfit upon arrival.

Indeed, please don't bend my words. I congratulated my friends in particular because they are exactly that, and I'll leave it at that. I'm glad magic in general is being given a big boost now.

Yesh. Many congrats to Kalenz and Lanader, as well as everyone else. This bodes very well for the Delvers. :D

Can we go one week without you making a thread complaining about something/ban-reporting someone? =/
^ Every week I see you on the forums posting some form of new complaint. Just let things be. And stop whining.

-Art folds his hands behind his back, tilting his head in an owl like motion.-
"When you've held any form of role of leadership, then you may preach endlessly at me. Until then, you have not, and it is not for you to tell me how to act out my job. Critizing words are easy to say when holed up hoarding books in a library, much harder when one is out there working for the prosperity of the guild."
-Art turns on a heel, striding off before hearing a responce.-
1 -
Art tilts his head, frowning.
"Mageshields must have a shred of intelligence and capability, of which this applicant has not. And in any case Hera will have the final word."
2 -
*Art looks up, returning the stare blankly, he blinks once. Slowly looking down to glance at the form.*
"Fair enough..." He says slowly.
ACCEPTED. Find your way to Ac'talareh where you'll be provided with----Gah. Force of habit.

*A bird returns to Jon.*
"Your application is in order, and you may pay us a visit. Find us in Ac'talareh, a ways off from Lenfarthing, and you'll be supplied with a uniform, bed, and a weapon if you need it. Speak with the High Mageshield if you want to know when our next excursion will be.
If you have trouble finding us, send a bird to myself (LeoWarrior14), Polgrath (chris6672) or Hera (BrandNewKitten) for more specific directions."

Art sifts through more paper, comparing a particular two as he frowns, he quickly writes a responce, sending it flying off with a bird.
"Mr. Oakshield there is no need for us to read your forms twice. Find our keep a ways off of the halfling's Lenfarthing, or send a bird to myself or Hera for more specific directions. Upon arrival you will be judged as to whether you will make good mageshield material."

Art raises an eyebrow, sifting through multiple registration forms.
"Another illusionist. And an aheral at that..."
He snatches up the form, handing it in front of Kalenz's desk.

Art blinks.
"What."

Art blinks, still looking around.
"I realized Malin was cursed for his halls to remain empty and his people infertile, but really, this city is always empty. Where is everyone?"

((This is an rp post regarding Malinor's ghost town-ism. To clarify, sorry.))

A simple unsigned note pinned by the front gate has some simple words written on it.
"Where is everyone?"

((can someone kill this thread?))

Art frowns quizically, face showing mostly indifference.
"Only a matter of time before they come crashing down on themselves anyways."
With that, he promptly walks out the city.

A bird returns to Aldwin.
"You may come to Ac'talareh, report to High Mageshield Hera for a uniform and a bunk. We are along the road from cloud temple to Malinor, send us a bird for more specific directions."

THANK YOU, So much. When I get shot, I'm down, simple. If I had a nickle for every roleplayer who continued to fight masterfully with an arrow in them like it was a tiny little toothpick in their side...ugh.

A message is nailed up to various walls around the newly inhabited ruin.
"A message for all Mageshields. Those who find the guild five new capable (active) recruits, as well as show basic leadership skills will be promoted to the rank of captain. Additionally, those who manage to do so in the next elven week will receive an additional reward from the Mindlord Polgrath."
Signed,
Art
Personal new title still pending.

Art sifts through papers on his desk, coming to one in particular, he squints his eyes, trying to recognize the writing, he tilts his head curiously.
"A Gobo...Ah, why the nether not."
A bird returns to Melunz, with a message tied to it's leg.
"Welcome to the Frostshields, make your way to Vaerhaven and pick up a recruit's outfit in the armory, you'll be one of us."

*Letters and posters are nailed to the populated areas of Anthos. Salvus, Malinor, but most commonly in Kal Azgoth and the hold of Vaerhaven.*
*SINCE THIS IS APPARENTLY NOT UNDERSTOOD, LET ME BE CLEAR. FROSTSHIELDS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRAW THEIR WEAPON OR OPENLY ENGAGE IN CONFLICT UNTIL OPENLY ATTACKED THEMSELVES. NEXT VIOLATOR OF THIS WILL PAY.*
-Frostshield Commander Art.
The Frostshields of Vaerhaven
The hold of Vaerhaven is a peaceful place, it's inhabitants as colorful as the banners that hang from roof to roof. The place is most often bustling, and very much populated, while managing to avoid the chaos that often resides in other cities.
Nevertheless, as in any city trouble can brew, fights can start, and accidents can happen. By the Auxillary act of Urguan, every hold is to have a competent guard force, and this is where we come in to serve.
THE FROSTSHIELDS:
Duties and Laws
The duties and roles expected of those in this guard are of such:
1. Whether off duty or on, always keep a vigilant eye out around town. A Frostshield must be expected to leap directly into a situation on a moments notice, no matter where he is or what he is currently doing.
2. Physical force is a last resort. In rare cases, certain individuals will be labelled as an arrest, or sometimes even kill on sight. However, all Frostshields are expected to keep a level head, a calm demeanor, and unless otherwise specified NEVER draw weapons unless weapons are drawn on you first.
3. Never make a scene. Drunkenness is strongly discouraged at all times, cactus green or other narcotics is strictly forbidden, violators will be stripped of rank. We are here to set a good example, not to be looked down upon.
4. Always, and I will state again, always, listen to your superior officer. A force works best as a group, and if you are the individual who finds he must always to things his way, it's time to swallow your pride and follow orders. Discipline is essential to the Frostshields.
Ranks and positions
The recruit:
To those new to the art of combat and to all of those altogether inexperienced, the rank of recruit will be given. This rank is a transition stage for new Frostshields to watch, learn, and do, and eventually rise to be a full member of the guard.
The regular:
The Frostshield regular is expected to be able to work his way around a fight decently, he is expected to be smart, sensible and capable. The regulars are the rank and file, as well as the most important role. They provide the bulk of the Frostshields body.
The captain:
The leaders and mentors, the captains do the jobs the Commander cannot possibly do on his own. Captains are there to direct the regulars and recruits in situations of trouble, and provide the orders and leadership necessary for the guard to remain efficient.
The Commander:
The individual put in charge of the force. The Commander of the Frostshields ensures the prosperity of the force, and the city they are charged to protect. The Commander's word is followed, and is trusted to make the right choices.
Joining:

((Before you ask, we were previously known as the Valewood blades before moving to Vaerhaven. If you are a regular please choose between the heavy and light armor skins.))
To those interested in joining the Frostshields, there is a simple form and contract, this binds you to fulfill the duties read earlier. Leaving is as simple as handing in your uniform.
