not enough trans characters tbh. i know theres only been more and more of them in recent years, and i know that the community on lotc is becoming more accepting overall, but i cannot be sated. i won't be satisfied until every elf and every olog on lotc questions their gender!!!!!!

ok. im nonbinary and i like to play nonbinary characters, and this status was for a silly funtime joke, but i do appreciate your point of view. personally i don't think people should use the community's immaturity as an excuse to shut down people's attempts to explore these topics, since the only way we can become a playerbase that's suited to playing these kinds of characters maturely is to have people playing these characters. I also don't think playing a trans character necessarily has to be something grim or toxic or something that brings up dark themes. I've been playing my nonbinary elf bee for something like 7 years now, and while there's been a lot of dark moments where other players have been bigoted or creepy to me, there's been a lot of moments that were really joyful and sweet and fun too.
