    The Transportation Trial

    A Competition To Build

Good evening LOTC, today I unusually bring you a competition that any and all may compete within. And, also your first glimpse into the secluded world of 5.0. But, more importantly the competition.

Well, what is this competition you ask? Well unfortunately for all you budding writers and artists this one requires the.. Perhaps less spectacular, but equally grand skill of building. More important, the building of various transport. By various I mean two.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Competition 1: Boats

The first of our competitions is the slightly harder one, the creation of boats. However will be fruitful within the efforts of 5.0 and meaning our builders are not preoccupied with the task of sorting these difficult little things out. They can be of any design, nature or size and will both be rewarded with a tangible prize and also perhaps featuring within the next map.

    Prizes:

1st: 5000 mina either presently, or 3000 come the next map.

2nd: 3000 mina either presently, or 2000 come the next map.

3nd: 2000 mina either presently, or 1000 come the next map.

All contributions of a high standard will be rewarded with a smaller, 300 mina prize come 5.0 and shall most likely feature upon the shores of the next map.

    Criteria:

    - It must be of your own design, stolen designs will both be removed from the competition standing and perhaps face harsher punishment.

    - Screenshots should be uploaded from a variety of angles, offering the judging folk to accurately assess the build.

    - A schematic file must be available for download.

    Competition 2: Carts

This task will prove slightly easier than the other, and involves the creation of a variety of cart designs to be used around the map. So, get building and submit your designs!

    Prizes:

1st: 2000 mina either presently, or 1000 come the next map.

2nd: 1000 mina either presently, or 800 come the next map.

3nd: 800 mina either presently, or 500 come the next map.

All contributions of a high standard will be rewarded with a smaller, 100 mina prize come 5.0 and shall most likely feature upon the shores of the next map.

May I first say this lore brings joy to me.

Second, as this magic is directly given by the deity to create chaos this will not take up a magic slot? As the person has no real power.

Third, what of the previous existing contract magic users, I understand this is completely different.

(Lets say, shamanism was removed and arcane evocation was just accepted you couldn't transfer(gf) into it).

But more so, users of the art prior, would have some knowledge if still interested to learn and or would they be the first of people to acquire a 'test' for this lore?

Last question. With these types of contracts, are you able to bind the use of blood to put it in stasis, as a conditional part for "chaos" to be brought onto fray if the contract had it written? For conjunction use for soul puppetry.

    -=-

Also I hope that even though you're an admin you don't get a "by-pass" to the magic rule set in place, regardless of how good the lore is. Maybe sometimes exceptions can be made as this was a previously accepted magic just with a twist?

    - Ttwesten.

It'll still take up a magic slot due to the significance of what it can do, just because the person isn't empowered doesn't mean it isn't powerful.

The difference is too much for people to be grandfathered in, it'd really need to be learnt again because of the massive differences. This is both from an RP point of view, and also an OOC. I mean-- even the power source differs.

Regarding the soul puppetry, I'm really unsure. Its very different to prior contract magic with greater restrictions on what it can accomplish, the idea of 'stasising' blood doesn't really make sense with this newer variations.

I would hope not! I thought this being a re-write meant it wasn't regarding that rule, maybe not?

  4. (( Small opening note. This is our take upon the previously removed contract magic, we’re taking a very different take with much greater restrictions and limitations. We hope you enjoy reading through it. ))

    Lex

    Pacta Sunt Servanda

    Agreements must be kept.

A pact cannot be made unless both parties agree to the conditions.

A “mage” cannot incorporate unagreed upon terms after a pact has been made.

A contract cannot function without proper ritual.

    Pacta Sunt Servanda.

    Llahir - The Trickster

(( OOC note, this is previously accepted Daemon but has unfortunately remained shelved for several years now. We’re attempting to slightly refine some of the details of this daemon to make him able to be unshelved and used among the server once more. ))

Llahir, The Lost Daemon, one of tricky, luck and theft. Often symbolised through the insignia of an open lock, floating feather or a single eye engaged within a helix. Unlike his immortal kin he is lost among the abyss of time as his position, presence and power remains lost to the other daemon, hence the title. Some have come to believe that he perished within mortal form whilst others believe he is merely a dagger's blade away, patiently awaiting the perfect occasion as he toys with his prey.

    AtbeGDJYMhC1e4Lai9H9l5P_2F1TR_pAI-XN54tN

Nevertheless he remains far away from the malicious path of his brethren as he does not wish to see the world coated within flames, or beneath his thumb as he rests upon a mighty throne. In reality his goal resides within the trickery and deceit of others, inspiring chaos within every crevice of reality through acts of varying degrees and never truly being inspired by a single purpose. Whether it to ruin the life of a single mortal, to bring an entire city to its knees, his drive is merely influenced by the way of the blowing wind.

His drive for chaos made him retain mortal form for considerable time, ambling through the many roads and cities merely looking for inspiration. However as time passed, the clock handle ever spinning, his memory started to wane. First, a mere few memories lost but as further leaves fell from trees his entire existence came beneath scrutiny. What he is and was locked beneath the scrutiny of his now mortal self, unable to truly access the capability that lay within. His drive, his mortal form, he desire, would soon to be his downfall. An unfortunate encounter leaving him struggling to breath and natural instinct dragged him back towards his true realm of existence. His memory slowly coming to be restored, his strength siphoning back but.. Still unable to manifest as flesh and blood once. His love for mortalship stripped away, his natural urge for chaos and deceit stripped from him as he remained locked within his own prison.

    The Lost Daemon’s Compendium

Within his mortal time, as his memory faltered and his multiple faces became moulded into one, a single object would retain his thoughts, ideas and faces. The compendium was an infinite tome of Llahir’s writing, each page another adventure into the twisted and chaotic thoughts of the godly but restrained being. Should a page be torn, lost or withered any memory or life associated with it shall be also be gone; the daemon and the compendium are one of the same entity. A solution to life hiding behind mortal hood.

A single page from his compendium, one of many.

    * * *

“The gentle sound of rain flowing with the chilling northern winds that blow after the passing of the great freeze would finally be filled with a new sound; that of powerful thunder booming as a new season arrives. The darkened skies would be changing now as the Sun’s Smile’s spring storms wash the normal litter that crusts the edges of the streets within the merchant capital of Petrus. A single hooded figure, unnoticed amongst the rest, would bump through the seemingly endless crowds whom are making their way to shelter.

Each passing gaze that would meet his would find what seems to be a lost man, but their faces to him would be but a blur. The blurred vision he had would double, losing himself as he’d bump into walls fabricated by his ailing mind. His sight would darken, and the the whole world would be swirling as he grew nauseated, knees weak, and arms heavy. The man would raise a hand to his sunken face, rubbing bleary and drooping eyes devoid entirely of sleep.

His mind drifted to a whole other place, a time perhaps, that’s all he could piece together. His body moving on it’s own pushing itself forward to a window shop, a bookstore. This hollowed man would peer downwards at what he’d believe is comforting. His eyes would fixate over this large leather bound book, reaching out as if it were apart of himself, a lust to possess it again.

What does he seek, why does he want to possess this strange book, even when he knows it isn’t the true item. Or mayhaps, he does not seek anything at all, and his curse is to wander the vast nothingness with a search to only know why.”

    * * *

Within such were what came to be known as the rules, once used to define his actions as a mortal and now used to define that of others.

    Secta  -  The Method

Unlike other deity magic you’re never one to be imbued with power. The strongest of the Lex hold no greater internal power than the newest, however what does change is Llahir’s trust and will he invests within you. To advance you must continue to become his agent of chaos and make more contracts, from there he shall enforce more potent pacts/contracts.

To establish a contract between two, or a single person, you must first utter the terms. The terms must follow the compendium rules and all involved parties must agree to the terms presented to them, upon such being established then a single phrase is muttered.

    “Pacta Sunt Servanda.”

This is the communicative phrase to almost ‘speak’ with Llahir. The Lex never truly established the contract but is merely an advancing catalyst to Llahir’s will, he shall always form the influence and power behind a contract and also be the influential authority of such. Failing to meet his rules, his terms, shall mean the contract does not become established.

Nuntius - The Pact of Communion

(( The method of teaching, available after the teaching limit. ))

The way one becomes established within the way of Lex. A trusted individual will be blessed by Llahir to bring others onto the path. To do such a pact is formed, one that follows all the rules of the compendium, the capability to form pacts at consequence of needing too. Disobey during this time and fear having your pact revoked. .

    Vicarius - The Proxy

With agreement of a third party, the consequence/benefit of a contract may be brought upon another. Although a contract must always be fulfilled who takes upon its acts does not matter. As long as they’re aware of the full conditions, and agree, then they may take upon the rules. Llahir is also unlikely to accept the proxy should the consequence not relate to them, the loss of an arcane mages knowledge to a knight? His terms must always be met, reward cannot be without cost.

This can be done at any time after the pact/contract has been established, and may often to some bring an interesting turn of events. Shall another enduring the consequence merely for your benefit?

    Compendium  -  The Rules

    I) Permutatio The Equivalent Exchange.

For that which is given, must be returned.

In return for that which we offer you must define something to take also, balance must ensue throughout anything else. Anything we grant to another must be returned of equal strength, either within the present or the future, to another or to yourself.  An example of such is granted someone immediate strength, however mere weeks later they shall be frail, weak and withered.

    II) Contra The Counterpart.

The return must relate to that which was given.

The benefits you may grant, must be partnered with a similar drawback. They cannot be entirely opposites such as increased strength for the inability to lie, but instead for instance; in granting someone arcane strength, they shall become weaker than ever after a single week. In forcing one into truth, another must be forced to lie. To take away illness, it has to be given to another.

    III) Veritas The Reality.

Reality defines all, to defy it is impossible.

All semblance of reality must be held accountable when a contract is made. To inadvertently or intentionally breach an agreement established then the individual will be held liable to conditions and their reality. For example, if within the clause created in case the contract was breached you were to die. Then ultimately that individual would one day meet their fate through whatever means that may be.

    IV) Fulcio The Upholding.

The words we issue cannot falter.

Once an agreement is made, it must continue until fulfilled. We cannot interrupt the process within play and to attempt such would be shunned upon; the cycle of the words is one bound by the infinite power of time itself.

    V) Adverto The Punishment.

To attempt to break the rules, shall not be ignored.

The rules are there to define, control and restrict what we may do. Those that attempt to break them, and even more so those that find the rare success in doing so are subjected to the will of the spirit. They may be stripped of their capacity, punished with a contract or perhaps even face the gates of death.

    Retorta  -  The Aberrant Pacts

(( These are pacts that are slightly more questionable/powerful within their nature, thus require MD/LD approval before they may be used within RP ))

There are certain pacts that hold such significance and power that they should not be taken lightly, and to even consider using such it must be approved by the grace of Llahir. The terms spoken within private, and the catalyst phrase muttered.. He shall show you if his approval has been earnt.

    Pacts of Life

Life is a tricky and delicate concept.

Any pacts which try to control life, for instance bringing back a person from a state of eternal death, must be thoroughly approved by Llahir. Although feasible another must trade placement with the soon to be returned, embracing the eternal night for the return of one lost.

(( More shall be introduced as concerns arise around certain functionality of this magic type))

    Documen  -  The Examples

    The Pact of Truth

Whilst one speaks the truth, another can only lie.

This pact implies a connection between two, often used to prove the innocence of one. However as one may only speaks words of truth for twenty four elven hours another is constrained to lies. Can one truly interact with people, knowingly unable to turn their tongue away from the twisting lies?

    The Pact of Mending

Wounds may be cleansed, yet at what cost?

One inflicted with a wound, an illness, or harm may lose such. They may be cleansed of all that hurts them however, it cannot just disappear. Another must take the place as a victim, another must take upon the wound of his peer. Suffering must be paid by suffering.

    * * *

“It is quite simple…” Artius drawled, the eldritch being’s lower mandible hangs in a dreadful sense of anticipation. Two sapphire orbs burned within its skull as they peer over the quivering father; a young boy within his arms, his breathing becoming more and more labored as they held their dealings. “Save my son… let him live. You have the power to…” the father bows his head before the lich in shame. “No my friend.... I do not. But together we can save your son.” the lich quickly interjects, with the flick of its wrists now creakily kneeling before the man . The young boy barely opens his eyes to see this mysterious broker his father deals with  for the fever is soon to take him, “Pacta Sunt Servanda.”  it utters rising to loom over the father and son. A long silence would befall the household, only Artius would be seen swaggering out from the pauper’s home; candle light flickering in its window. Only a shadow cast of a wailing boy laying over his father remains.”

    * * *

    The Pact of Strength

    Great strength, for great weakness.

For a single week the muscle and resilience of one shall grow beyond all possible thought, easily taking down a foe within a fist fight, or perhaps claiming victory upon that tournament. However after a few elven days it’d quickly come to wither; their mighty strength taken away by withering muscles.. Soon becoming weaker than ever before. A large cost for a small victory?

    The Pact of Arcane

    Enhancement through loss.

Similar to the pact of strength within nature, an arcane mage becomes afflicted with a significant buff (similar to that of a blood mage) for a few days. Casting spells with ease, yet when such a time period comes to end then they shall lose months of learning. Once more, a useful tool, but for how long?

    Acies - The Red Lines

A slightly more OOC based section to help better define the rules and procedures of using this magic.

    I) The rules do not just represent IC belief but also OOC restriction, any pact/contract formed must follow the regulations within place and to break such will imply the contract/pact will not work.

II) This magic requires a lot of creative input, loosening the restrictions to a specific spell list. In turn you are responsible for the roleplay that you provide, it should be engaging and interesting to all parties involved and not used to merely empower friends using loopholes.

III) Consequence must always be enforced through the contract/pact as that as what Llahir demands, he is an agent of chaos and to deny him that right would mean he would deny yours.

IV) The fifth rule is not just an IC/OOC restrictions but a means of control for the MD/LD teams. If they believe someone is breaking the rules of this magic or going too far, they have roleplay sufficient means of implementing punishment and/or the removal of magic.

    V) A Lex of several months holds not greater power than one of mere days, the only factor that changes is Llahir’s trust of you as a one of his catalysts. You only ever speak with him, you never force him.

VI) In using a proxy the person must always be aware in both RP and OOC the consequence/benefit they’re becoming involved within. It can never be forced upon another, for both reasons of IC and OOC.

VII) The aberrant pacts must always be approved through the MD/LD beforehand, otherwise cannot be used. The roleplay explanation is that Llahir denies the opportunity to use such.

This is all fine and dandy but does it really matter? As others stated above there are a plethora of more pressing issues. Inter-staff communication is important but at the end of the day even with an ideal system it's completely up to the specific staff member in question to go along with the idea. Throwing up an unnecessarily in depth forum post that does little to nothing to improve the ongoings of the server helps little to nothing.

As explained with another comment, this isn't something we're blind too. In no aspect whatsoever are we expecting this change alone to encourage anything more than setting the groundwork for change to come. However the issue with inter-team communication isn't one I can simply dish out a quick update and solve for good but one that must be tackled over a period of significant time, its not just about what we can do but also changing the perspective of the community as a whole. This is groundwork for larger things, nothing more nothing less.

  6. Just now, Equinox said:

Remember that we (the departments) as a whole can not change overnight, and as much as i'd like to be overly optimistic of this decision. This will stay take a greater quarter of the year to produce and reform to proper aesthetic, societal, and technical standards.

I'm glad we are improving, but there needs to be more depth to break the silence among the teams. Which are not quick and swift blows, but rather gradual endeavors.

I understand, and agree! We've more plans and are well in knowledge this is a longer process than people imagine. But, change!

  7.

    The Department Initiative

    The Department Initiative stems from the brief acknowledgement I gave to the concept within my June staff address, which included the following;

“Instead of operating as a single entity we’re units within a machine; The AT accept applicants, who get monitored by the FM’s and GM’s and are supplied content by the ET. There isn’t any.. Connection, between the teams. It often seems like 90% of responsibility and power is within the GM’s and they’re the highest authority, and most important. But, that isn’t the case. Every team has its role, each as important as the other and that fact isn’t recognised by the staff or the playerbase as a whole.”

An issue of this sorts I’ve been considering on for some time. The almost obsolete inter-staff communications that’ve continued to fail and lack even a glimpse of success since the very establishment of staff teams. Teams. That's the word that irritates me, it defines what we are and what we do. In the modern world of business the hierarchy isn’t established as teams but instead departments and when the topic of team building arises it's a global thing for everyone to get involved with. The team should represent the business for they all work for the same goal.

Now this isn’t saying we’re a business in the slightest. By any stretch we’re a non-profit to which purpose is to drive community interaction and activity through whatever means you’ve selected. However to neglect a perhaps better way of running and defining how our volunteers work and operate would be absurd and because of such I’m announcing The Department Initiative.

    What does this all mean?

    This announcement introduces the new means in which we define our staff team. By that of departments; no longer are we separate teams but instead a single aiming to achieve a single goal. Inspiring, improving and adding to our community. For the most part you won't see this alone causing active change but it's an attempt to shift the player bases opinion away from what it has been and towards a slightly more positive direction. To better explain please read the following upon the new format of staff teams;

    Leadership Division

    Leadership Director

Taking upon the responsibility of ensuring that all departments are performing to a satisfactory level whilst also being the goto place for issues that may occur during the running of the team.

    Department Director

An individual rank, only accessible by being chosen to lead a department through showing dedication, commitment and bringing continued progressive ideas to the table. In being chosen you’re expected to lead a team to a high standard whilst fixing any issues that may occur.

    Information Division

    Application Department

Responsible for the reviewal and acceptance of new applicants onto the server, ensuring they’ve the sufficient knowledge and capability to roleplay among new and existing members whilst also lending hand to those that

    struggle.

    Magic Application Department

In charge of the control and documentation of magic users within the community. Ensuring that all magic users are correctly taught and will provide sufficient roleplay to those they interact with.

    Wiki Department

Aims to document and make ease of access to the majority of information upon the server; whether this be locations, lore or general facts. A successful department will continue to update and maintain the wiki as the masses of information comes into the fold.

    Moderation Division

    Forum Department

The forum moderation department hold the responsibility of monitoring and organizing the forums as a platform. Making sure that posts remain according the the community/forum conduct as well as keeping on top of the constantly busy forums.

    Game Department

Active figures within the moderation of the server; acting as figures that enforce the rules and regulations that have been pre-established. They are also the driving force within server progression attempting to bring forth new ideas and implement them with success.

    Creative Division

    Event Department

Established for the purpose of providing interactive events for the community as a whole, this may include large and expansive quest lines to one-off events just to provide people with fun. They should commonly work with the Lore Department to bring forth an enriching history to the server.

    Lore Department

In charge of the moderation and introduction of new lore for the server, whether that be for player usage of story based. They should aim to give the story a main event line to follow whilst working with the event department to help bring that to life.

    Development Division

    Developer Department

A "Developer" is the senior level position assigned to members of the team who have proven themselves capable. Along with this comes a hefty amount of trust mainly to allow the user to have more freedom with their skills. In rare cases developers may be promoted without being coders to begin with, but there is no application for a Developer.

    Coder Department

A "Coder" is the entry level position onto the department. This is the only position you can apply for on the Development department. The work includes either creating Plugins solo or sometimes in group effort, either projects on your own free time or projects assigned to you. Usually, you should be comfortable with either, dependent upon what is needed.

    A Couple More Things..

    From Global to Game

This one is quite the small one but relevant to everything I’ve highlighted above. The word ‘global’ to me almost empowers the role, makes it seem likes its relevant within every crevice of the server and the ‘leading’ role. Again this is a difficult perception to break however it's one that will require time!

So because of this the ‘global moderator’ will be changed to ‘game moderator’. The role will remain the same, so you’ll not see much of a difference.

PS: Before this gets brought up, several years ago when the ‘server moderator’ rank was introduced is not the same in the slightest to this. The role remains under the same rank, instead of being split as before.

To lead or not to lead.

For a while now there has been a mindset that to become a team lead you must be a GM; and although this does have tangible benefits it also (at least within opinion of the administrators) blocks significant potential. The fact that in order to hold a leadership position you must be willing to give time to modreq and settling player debate made little sense, as the two skill sets are incredibly different.

So although this is a short update, its confirming that from this moment any staff team member can potentially become lead of their team through showing dedication, commitment and positive leadership attributes.

    Anonymous Staff Report Forum

    One thing that's important to me personally is ensuring that the standard of our staff teams remain high. However I also understand that to some people reporting their friends, or maybe even people they don't know is of high difficulty. That is an issue I’m looking to tackle with the introduction of this new forum, located here;

    https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/forum/588-anonymous-staff-report/

By posting here only us, the administrators, and yourself can view the topic. Therefore meaning you can anonymously post troubling actions without facing flak from the community, I hope this helps!

    Cultures Subforum

    After a point raised by Chaotikal I realized that individual cultures didn't really have much of a place to post the content relevant to them. With the race subforums constantly dominated by racial nations even the important posts quickly become swamped beneath the oncoming waves. So in turn I quickly threw this new forum up;

    https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/forum/590-cultures/

Hopefully that’ll make things easier for those it is relevant too.

This lesson would be one of the first given to a new student, involving the process of allocating them some of your own lifeforce to manipulate to ensure they can learn safely.

Gregory arises from his seat, still mostly hidden by the excessively large desk as his student ambles into the room with a sense of nerve. Glancing towards them he'd raise his chin, before motioning with his hand.

"Come, we've much to learn.. And, well. I don't have the time to wait around."

[The two would depart, entering a rather deprived but present forest.]

"Today, student, you shall attempt the principle of necromancy. The very act that shall allow you the blessing and at the same time, allow you to retain life among the twisted body of a necromancer."

Moving towards a nearby shrub, resting his palm upon it.

    "The draining of lifeforce."

His hand becoming slowly coated within an opaque cloud of darkness; swirling and lashing out as if a feral beast had taken form. Quickly it'd follow the will of its user, latching upon the shrub with its unseen fangs before the flow changes direction. The shrub once fulfilled with life and health takes an ill turn, leaves browning and stems falling.. The flow continuing to enter Gregory's palm with a sense of morbid beauty.

"To undergo such an act, it is not something we just teach. But something one must learn.. You must understand that which we consume, that which we manipulate. You must investigate your own source alongside another. Over time it.. shall become of greater ease, yet the concentration at this time is harsh.. brutal, without my aid you'd most likely take similar fate to this plant."

Removing his hand, the once dense cloud dissipating into mere wisps as he'd meager over towards a much smaller plant.

"Do as I, but with my aid."

[The student would make his way over towards the plant, Gregory resting a hand upon his shoulder.]

Gregory's own hand would once more be consumed by the horrifically twisted substance, taking a lighter form and lashing upon his student.. With the speed of molten magma it trickles into the student.. allocating him the lifeforce required to the act.

[Que straining emotes as the student tries to do this, I was taught to use a roll system and then the value determines success. But yeah it's mainly a matter of how you wish to teach it.]

  9. Good Evening LotC,

Today I bring a short post to inform and congratulate that of the new application team lead. After some discussion among the administrative team along with gathering the thoughts and opinions of the current AT and its managers we've decided to elect the following person as their new lead.

As per any newly elected lead they shall enter a one month trial period after which their contributions shall be evaluated by the admin team and the new leads stay will be decided upon.

However in the mean time, congratulate Ski for his recent promotion.

After the recent departure of Tsuyose from the admin team it dawned upon Telanir and I that we must introduce another admin, for.. well, two wasn't really that many. After some discussion among ourselves and re-evaluating certain prior thoughts we came to the conclusion who this candidate would be.

    So I'm pleased to announce that the latest GM to rise through the ranks is our dearest own;

We felt that his continued dedication and contribution to the server made him most deserving of such a promotion as I'm sure many of you will agree. Yet I hear a small majority of you curious fellows ask, what shall he do?

Well, here comes the second announcement I suppose. I'll be handing off the baton of GM lead to our very own, newly promoted admin. For anyone curious I'll be better dedicated my time to the evaluation and management of other staff teams (Such as introducing actual use to the staff news forum and doing the absurdly large staff evaluations I did way back when) alongside giving as much as my time possible to 5.0.

This was something the team needed, I've held the position since October (or November? I forget) and although I'd like to think I've improved it since, that's of your own judgement to make. A fresh face with fresh ideas should hopefully provide you with a stronger and more active team that I have faith Fireheart will bring into the fold.

So with that, congratulations fireheart. The bird has left the nest.

    Good afternoon ladies and gents,

Today I bring a small update for an event occurring at 2pm EST/7pm GMT upon Saturday the 21st (aka: today).

Its a risk-free PVP battle to test the capability of this new server, but how do you get involved?

    At such a time they'll be a broadcast on the server signalling the start of the battle. If you wish to get involved you must ensure you have an empty inventory otherwise you'll be denied entry, if such is present then you merely need to use the following command;

    /battle join

This will queue you up for the battle where candidates are randomly selected from the list. We'll most likely be gradually increasing the limit of how many people can join so don't feel left out if you're not instantly brought in.

The top 5 contenders will receive a reward (to be decided afterward) for their contribution, so have fun!

By the term "Gifting to friends" meaning I could transfer the "crowns" to another minecraft account I own to have it get "higher crowns" to "redeem" a higher VIP perk?

When purchased you've the option of either redeeming them or gifting; however once gifted that option no longer becomes available. However you cant separate the purchases down into like.. 1000 here, 1200 there and 3513 over there. Its all or nothing.
