*you come upon a small letter nailed to a post, the paper has not even a crease in it, each word carefully written in black ink. Most would laugh at it, as it is probably the writings of a child* I seek one who can teach me Fire Evocation. I know this seems like a silly request made by a girl with large hopes, but I do seek one, I always have. I can not offer money, I have none, nor can I offer wares of any sort, but what I can offer is a student, although I am young, I am a hard worker, capable of great things under the right teacher. So again I ask those of you who know this magic, teach me, I will not dissapoint you. Please give any responses to the bird above. *a speckled falcon sits above the post staring down at all who look at the letter. Any who would try to harm it would find that the bird would fly out of reach.*

[Feedback] There Is Too Much Villainy.
Annae123 replied to ~ Fiend ~'s topic in News & Announcements Archive
I completely agree. When I log on to see someone got stabbed or kidnapped my reaction isn't "Oh no! Better go help them!" It's "another one?" These acts of evil are getting out of hand. It is to the point where it isn't fun anymore, it's just a piece of work to deal with. What is wrong with normal day to day rp? Can villains not go a few days without killing/torturing someone? If anything there could be a limit on villainous acts per week, I know that would anger some but at least it would calm down the amount of evils happening. I suppose this is just my opinion, what does everyone else think? -
*notes are pinned up around Abresi, Malinor, and Cloud Temple, the writing is that of a child's and the request would come off as odd* This may sound like an odd request, but I am in need of new eyes. Any would work, as long as you could well...put them in for me Any color would work, just please, not red. I need them because Of a certain problem that landed me with red colored eyes and, Now people are making fun of me, and bullying me and calling me demon Please.

*a note is pinned by the original, the words scrawled out sloppily, probably that of a young child's* "Whatever you wish, I will give, in return for The Druid, look for the falcon near this note, leave a message with him" *a name isn't given but you would notice a small falcon cawing nearby, looking at you expectantly*

*A note is pinned, the words barely legible, probably that of a child's* if it is not too much trouble could I have an animal friend to keep me company? One of any kind would be good, as long as it's smallI know that is a tough gift to obtain so if not that then maybe a grand tent to live in((I'm not sure if y'all can give "animals" so to speak, if so you could just send a message here saying it was delivered, if not then the tent please. If the lore gets accepted, possibly a gold one of these? http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/102431-creature-the-calgi/ )) *other ideas must have been written here, but they seemed to have been scratched out* -Clara Deathsbane ((11lucy123))

I have mixed feelings about this I like the idea that magic is much more accessible but I think that people will go crazy with it. A possible alternative would maybe be that self taught mages had to fill out applications or at least be overseen to avoid power gaming and advancement in the specific magic much too quickly. With a teacher you are regulated and advised as best they can and are taught slowly, the idea that you have to work for magic was much more appealing. When one finally gained that their 4 or 5 magic, it would be extremely exciting. You had to work months upon months to gain a high level of magic, it showed who really wanted it and who just wanted its power with no obstacles, when you worked for it you were much less likely to power game due to the fact that you spent a long time gaining it and would not want to lose it. I see this as becoming a thing where one person learns magic and teaches all his/her buddies how to use it. But that is just my two cents, we all have our different opinions and the best way to decide what happens is to let it play out.

The trees surrounding her smelled thickly of pine, and the flora radiated a thick smell of honey. She smiled warmly at the creature in her hands. The small rabbit's nose twitched slightly as it gazed up at her, it's eyes a calming black. She glanced down to its leg, happy to see its healed state. "You're all better now little friend, go back to your family where you are safe." She cooed softly, setting the small figure on the ground. It hopped away, stopping to gaze back at her, then continuing on to the thick forest towards it home. Evangelia laughed softly, pulling herself up. Sighing contently, she began her journey to her new home in Elandriel. Sighing, she passed by the huge okas, vaguely aware of the celebration nearby. The Feast of Spring was upon them. Her kind had a deep hatred for the celebration, they resented its praise of rebirth, for they them selfs were infertile. This fact did not bother her, she had always been accepting of her past which was odd for a family who raised her cursing Iblees's name, but that was the past, now was now. She clenched her fists nervously as she neared Elandriel. This is where her life would start, where her destiny would unfold, who knew what would occur. A year had passed since Evangelia had settled in Elandriel. She had created a small farm to help her get on her feet, but she hoped to eventually open up a shop somewhere in Asulon. The town of Elandriel was amazing, Evangelia truly felt one with nature in her home. Although there wasn't much places to learn magic, which was one of her dreams. She sighed as she sat in her small hut, she was almost there. She almost had the money to move, but could she? Evangelia had become very attached to the town, it seemed to speak words of calmness to her. She shook her head firmly. There was more to her life than this, she didn't know how she would get to her destiny but she knew she couldn't stay there, so she packed up and moved, unsure whether she would comeback of move on. Ambitions for the Future:Although her future is unclear, Evangelia hopes to move to a town or city of Asulon...whether its small like Elandriel and own a shop or a Capitol like Normandor and slowly learn magic. Personality:a bit clumsy for an elf, kind, caring, accepting to change,optimistic...most of the time, and adventurous. Skills: Evangelia is skilled with the bow because she was trained as a child, she loves to write and likes to think she is good at it, also she is a home grown intellect, lastly she has grown skilled at the Viola. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):http://11lucy123.deviantart.com/art/Application-Skin-373650183?ga_submit_new=10%253A1369448716 Evangelia, standing at 5'8 has piercing blue eyes and a defined bone structure framed by long coffee brown hair. She has alabaster colored skin which is quite rare for her race. She wears comfortable hunting clothes and usually has a bow slung across her back. Any other details you wish to share about your character:no, not at the moment Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react? Answer:I shivered in the frigid wind, wrapping my robe tightly across my body. In the distance I heard the whimper of a small child, followed by the devious snicker of a group. As i apporached the noise i saw a group of elves surrounding a young child. I slid behind a tree, watching the scene unfold before me. "Hmm, I'm a bit cold aren't you?" A tall elf mockingly said to one of his companions, who snickered and nodded. "Let's take his robe, shall we?" The elf suggested. The elves proceeded to rip the robe from the young boy, kicking him in the ribs when he tried to take it back. I clenched my fists in anger, unable to hold myself back. I emerged from the trees, knocking an arrow into my bow. "Give the boy his robe, and walk away." I growled. I round of laughter erupted through the group. "Oh my dear, what an empty threat." The one who seemed to be the leader said in between laughter. I released the arrow, sinking it into the tree above his head. Next time I won't miss." I hissed. The leader muttered something to his companions and dashed towards me. I only had time to raise my fist and hit it in his stomach. He stumbled backwards as I reached out, grabbing his hair and forcing his head against the tree. This angered the companions, so the ran at me, grabbing me by the arms and landing punches all over my body. Eventually they stopped, I was left on the ground next to the boy, weak, bruised, and coughing up blood. Luckily for me the boys father was a physician. He told his father of my deed, and he then healed me with no charge. 2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do? Answer:I whistled happily, striding down the path gracefully. Today had been a good day, I hadn't made any gold but I had met some extraordinary people and heard some fantastic story's. one about a tale of a dragon, I began running the story through my head. I was torn from my day-dream as I heard the cry of a man. Before my eyes I watched an elderly man all to the ground, a pouch falling from his robe and spitting out coins. My empty stomach growled, knowing the coins would buy me a meal but my mind took over, forcing me to my knees to help the old man. "Are you okay?" I questioned while scanning his body for injurys. " he shopkeeper his head as I helped him up. " thank you little one, didn't expect that to happen, but then who does?" He chuckled. I fished a make do stick from the brush around us and handed it to him. "Again, thank you." He said gratefully, giving me a toothless grin. I smiled and nodded as he hobbled away. Looking down I saw the coins scattered across the ground. I quickly gathered them into the pouch and sprinted after the man. "Sir! You forgot your pouch!" I called after him. He turned, his face showing immediate relief.I reluctantly placed the pouch in his hands, "Oh my, I was so worried! You have dine me two good deeds today young lady and this deserves a reward." He declared, fishing three coins from the pouch and putting them in my hands. "Thank you very much sir," I said gratefully. He nodded before continuing down the path 3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: I walked down the path I had taken everyday, only to find there was a small blue carriage sitting along the path. I walked up to the merchant, curiosity lighting my eyes. He extended his hands, showing me all his wares, and made a good point that he was willing to haggle. I looked upon the items, taking each one into consideration. Suddenly my eyes fell upon a bow, I could immediately tell it was quite the find. "Tell me about the bow." I said. He smiled. "Ahh, a fine eye you have their, that is a bow crafted from the rare red-wood tree, it is incredibly strong and guarantees long lasting durability and farther range, all for the low price of 455 Minas!" He declared proudly. I frowned, looking closely at the bow. A smile appeared across my face as I saw part of the tarnished wood rubbed away, "my friend, there seems to be a flaw in this bow." I pointed out showing him my observation. His face showed defeat as I had pointed out the flaw he hoped I would not see. "How about 200 Minas?" I asked. He scoffed, "absolutely not, 350minas?" He asked. I frowned. "You drive a hard bargain, but this is my final offer, 275 minas" I declared, waiting for him to respond. He seemed to consider the offer before nodding, handing me the bow and extending his hand. I placed the coins in his hands and walked off, admiring my find.

Lightning shot through the air, seemingly aiming to destroy the village. As thunder rolled overhead Evangelia sat on her bed, her head resting on her knees. Brushing her coffee brown hair behind her pointed ears, she pushed herself out of the small cot. She sighed, looking to her alabaster skin, which was quite uncommon for those of her kind. A smile played on her pink lips as she remembered her mother describing her as the moon and sun's child. Evangelia's hand stroked the necklace at her collar-bone a small emerald amulet lay across it. It's chains were made of vines, weaving throughout each other in a memorizing pattern. In the middle there lay a fine cut emerald engraved with a small lily, outlined by pure silver. The amulet was an heirloom of her family, it gave her light in darkness, it connected her with her family, both passed and alive. sometimes she could hear whispering from it, like a call to her, though she could have been going crazy. Evangelia chuckled softly, lowering herself back onto the bed. She closed her eyes, opening her mind to sleep. The thick trees clouded the sun from view, the sky was a blur of calming colors that barely peaked through the great oaks that spread across all of western Anthos. Evangelia sat in her yard, ripping the plush grass from the ground. She was average for an 18 year old, not rising above 6 foot, her piercing blue eyes squinted as she tried to make out the figure In the distance, approaching the small but humble cottage. A goofy grin shot up on Evangelia's face as she sprinted towards the figure with outstretched arms. Her father grinned, embracing her and planting a small kiss atop her head. In his hands he held a package that undoubtably held his pray. Her father was a born hunter, this is what brought him and her mother together. She was the daughter of a butcher, and he was the one who hunted the meat. there was a deep threaded friendship that grew between them that eventually budded into a romance, resulting in her birth. They had her in this very cottage, where she would spend the first 18 years of her life. Evangelina smiled as she gracefully strode towards the cottage where her mother stood. An uneasy smile appeared upon her face as she drew her mother towards her father. Nervously rubbing her hands together she blurted out the words she had feared to say. "I'm moving to the city." She gasped out, awaiting her family's cry of protest. They simply nodded, agreeing completely and wholeheartedly, but they had one question. "What will you do?" She wasn't quite sure, maybe she would learn magic, maybe she would fall in love, maybe she would become the master of the bow.Who knew exactly what their destiny was? But the one thing she was sure of was that she wouldn't find her destiny sitting in her warm, safe cottage. She would have to plunge head first into the real world, who knew what adventures would unfold. What are your characters ambitions?:Evangelina wants ti live life to its full extent, so far she just wants to get in her feet before starting her future, but would enjoy possibly learning magic, or becoming a shopkeeper, or anything else truly. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: http://11lucy123.deviantart.com/art/Blurry-Screenshot-373430663?ga_submit_new=10%253A1369354550 sorry about quality Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I strode down the street, my mind drifting from what was around me. I stumbled back into reality as a loud call priced my ears. Before me was a small dwarf, no bigger than four feet. I noticed his clothes seemed old and tattered, and from the way they hung loosely across his his body I would say he hasn't eaten a full meal in quite some time. I quickly walked past him, but guilt inward at my stomach, causing me to peddle back. I sighed, fishing money from my pocket and handing to him. He smiled a toothless grin and placed food into my hands. Nodding in thanks I walked off. Satisfaction riddling my face. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I shivered in the midnight cold, pulling my robe closer around myself. In the distance a torch light grew faintly, revealing the silhouettes across the path. The two seemed to be squabbling so I sprinted towards them, aware of an ongoing conflict. An Orc and a dwarf were yelling angrily at each other, their fists held up. I approached the two, my mind screaming at me to turn around and run home. I stepped between them, my hands pushing the backwards. "I think we can solve this with words." I reasoned carefully. The Orc grunted, but put his fists down and the dwarf followed his lead, nodding in agreement the two struck a deal and went their separate ways. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?: I panted heavily, wiping sweat from my brow. The old pathway was not well know about, and had long since been overgrown with wild vines and bushes of all sorts. The only other person along this path was an old man, his oak cane clicking along the path. A root seemed to pass his notice as he tumbled to the ground, his coin purse releasing its contents. My empty stomach looked at the coins hungrily, knowing they would buy me a nice meal. I groaned inwardly as my stupid good mind shut my stomach up. I kneeled down next to the man, picking up his coins and handing them to him, while helping him up. He smiled kindly, nodding his thanks and placing two coins into my hands. We both went our ways, smiling happily.
