Hi, I've been permabanned since appealing a month's ban back in February 16th, 2021 (that's 560 days in old money).
I don't know what my ban's for, other than Player Conduct Violation. I've tried to appeal it a few times, and will even send you copies of the appeals if you want to use them for a collage or other creative project that needs a print medium. I have written about ten thousand words in appeal texts to have this ban appealed, as well as helping many other people with writing their appeals. I am very content with not being unbanned and know that the current administration (namely kowaman really) don't want me unbanned.
My ban appeals have all been denied outright, and any mention of ways to either improve my appeal or my conduct to make such a thing likely were met with outright mocking, with the administration eventually just telling me to not bother with appealing as the ban's permanent, not reversing. Etc. You do get used to it eventually.
I get dmed about lordofthecraft a lot and I've asked the admins to tell people to stop doing that because it's very annoying and very silly to bother me about it all.
I know I am never going to get unbanned and I don't appreciate being used as a dubious mercenary to do bad things on flimsy promises of consideration when any genuine display of contrition has been met with derision or an assumption of lacked sincerity.
I'm no fool and know full well that 'consideration' is a carrot-and-stick that will either not be fulfilled or bear so little fruit that it will harm any genuine appeal in the future.
I hope that there is no precedent set to promise unbans to permanent "unreversably" banned players, it is very inconsiderate to the community - a ban serves a purpose, and to waive it so easily both puts the players at risk and turns any punishment a player is given from a justified response to an infraction of the rules to something far more personal and arbitrary, liftable in return for favours instead of a justified appeal. Let any ban be decided by the merit of my appeals and the conduct of my behaviour following the ban instead of trying to barter with somebody you've already sent packing.
Please remember that permanent means always and forever. Either update my ban reason and engage with me in a sincere conversation about a return to the server or stop mucking me around with this silly nonsense.
