The Court of HRM the Queen-Consort, Amelya of Middelan The Miller's Mark EVENT SCHEDULE Weekend Warm-Up Join us in the capital city of Aaun for a day of excitement. As the track is formally checked by the race stewards and the racers prepare their horses and equipment, the Queen will host a small joust for a 50 mina prize pool, sponsored by Aaunbuckes Coffee Company. At this time you can also purchase a designated bleacher seat by the finish line, sponsored by the Society of St. Godwin, for 2 mina per seat. This will go towards the prize pool. [Joust to begin at 3 EST] Formation Lap Before the race begins, each team will be allowed to go around the track once in a formation lap to show off their horses and commit the track to memory, sponsored by Boon & Bane’s Fish & Chips. Race Teams of two will face off in a first to five laps race around the Whitespire Circuit! The rules will be as follows; 1. Horses are to be brought by contestants, and may be any speed below war-level (<13 spd). 2. Armor, Pikes, and Lances may also be brought by contestants to improve their odds. These are not required to participate, but will not be provided by the race stewards. 3. You are not allowed to pike or kill riderless horses, or pike or maim dismounted racers. 4. Each team may bring up to two extra members to hold spare horses in a designated pit zone. These extra members can swap in to replace a current racer. 5. Stewards will check inventories to ensure all riders are compliant with fair rules and not carrying unsportsmanlike weaponry. 6. Stewards will also monitor the race as it progresses to ensure compliance. Breaking the rules will result in disqualification (DQ). 7. You may continue to race without a horse, but you may only punch other dismounted racers. 8. No attacking onlookers, and onlookers that interfere with the race in any way will be charged with assault, as well as fined 300 mina. 9. Entry fee will be 5 mina per contestant. This will be used towards the prize pool. Awards Ceremony During the winner’s ceremony, the first place racer will be given a bottle of fine Aaunite champagne by the race stewards, a victory ceremony, a plaque in the palace, and any other rewards that may be added to the prize pool at a future date. At this time the first place team will also receive the mina prize, consisting of 250 mina and any funds gained via entry fees and bleacher sales for the first place, while the runner-up team will receive 50 mina and third place team 10 mina.
