At the conclusion, Hamelin planted the tip of his falchion onto the ground. Leaning on it as he gazes south to the Blackvald swamps.
" I expect more Eldritch horrors to come. . . We must remain steadfast"

Somewhere else in the south, a lone figure would say a prayer in a little chapel. His fingers rubbed the Lorraine cross in reverence, and his words echoed through the hall.
" You're forgiven for the enchanting table"

It's constructive criticism and you're trying to use sarcasm against it. To say the least, I'm disappointed to see such feedback knowing that you are fully capable of defending your own points.

People who think either RP or PVP is superior to the other should check themselves
Beast, I'm a friend of yours and I personally have no idea what you're siding with because the positions are obscurely changing with each turn. I'd take Darksalvo's MAIN point into heart that there has been a very clear powercreep on the server since Anthos for reasons that I believed to be inconsistency from the upper eons on the server.
The fundamental purpose of every server introduced PVP or RP items should be to encourage entertaining, unique and satisfying experiences for the entire playerbase, and its clearly evident that the server needs to start dumbing down from its powercreep and instead embrace a more 'fair' increases rather than flat out net positives like Magic Guns and other ET items.
Seriously? Weren't they supposed to be drawbacks to power?....Now it just feeds into powerhungry mindsets.

"This isn't what Jon would've wanted." says a remaining Savoyard loyal to the Empire.
" I'd not contest such, but the situation gravely changed after he was executed by this very Empire. We laid the groundwork of this Empire in Athera...but they manipulated and plotted for our total demise through a genocide. I saw with my own eyes Ser Alistar of Daylight clubbed to death in his own armour as he knelt in the Imperial court and prayed for us all, Jon especially. If you would support such a people...I may be young and perhaps be called naive, but there's no righteousness in all of this. We have lived peacefully with the Horens since the Treaty of Metz and allowed them to write history in their favour, further demonizing us and completely forgetting that not only did they murder King Guy De Bar, but held our kin hostage..."

SpoilerAmbience Music!
Outstretched before me is a meadow, fresh with spring blossoms. Pastel shades spatter the land up to the peak of the knoll, each speckle representative of its own flower, dipped in divine scent and clustered in patches of pink and yellow. Hands rough with callouses graze through the long stalks of glossy grass, hands that belong to me.
As I crest the rise, an altered landscape diverges from the sweeping lea. Where there were flowers there are now bodies, broken and trampled into the upturned muddy earth. A slaughter field, land stained from battle, saturated in the blood of the fallen, abandoned and festering from a skirmish that has long since ceased.
Two scenes an apparent contrast are actually a mirror, only accelerated by time. My mother once told me that Oren’s land thrives on the blood it is fed in war. I can see that when I cast my eyes to the meadow, serene and unassuming, the remnants of a battle long forgotten.
“The flowers grow in patches, see child; where the bodies once laid.”
They sprout atop the discarded remains, sweet, beautiful flowers, thirsting for the bloodshed of war.
Sometimes I wonder if humanity thrives on the blood we spill too. It is not true of course, we thrive on what the blood represents: Power, wealth, notoriety. Surely this is not what the Creator intended for us.
Battle has forever marred the land here, never will it be the same, not even when flowers tumble over dead soldiers and hide their remains. Blotches of flora will forever outline the carnage that lay beneath.
I am still too young to marry but nay too young for bloody wars to splatter my memories.
More blood must spill for the meadows to finally grow in peace. So I brace myself for the pain and grasp at this chance.
Rebellion for all the wrongdoing done upon us.
Blood for Ashford...
Her Grace, Hervor Ashford de Savoie
Therein, House Ashford De Savoie, along with its cadet branches De Aryn and De Bar, will affirm its loyalties of both friendship and brotherhood with the esteemed D'Amaury of Lorraine.
For the good of all the realm and especially humanity, Ashford de Savoie has committed to forgiveness of sins perpetrated against its sons and daughters. We do not forget the sacrifices of each and every house of Humanus, and echo the eternal words spoken by Saint Lucien.
We will not kneel to wickedness.
In lieu of a private meeting, Ashford de Savoie hereby affirms closer ties for Savoy and Lorraine in the foreseeable future, and will endeavour with utmost tenacity to mend and unite the church of GOD for the sons and daughters of the Creator and propel rightful progress and prosperity for humanity.
His grace, Acting and Rightful Duke of Savoy, Hamelin Ashford de Savoie.
His exalted grace, Archduke of Lorraine and protector of Metz, John d’Amaury
May no further drop of our blood be spilled for naught, allow virtue and righteousness to prevail.
(( Special thanks to IllogicalOrder for helping write a good portion to this, and all those that gave this a look over to iron out any possible hiccups. Though, another afternote is that let's roll with the punches and stay together as a playerbase no matter the outcome))

"Before the Brawms betrayed us like the dogs they are, perhaps.." Says Willum, reading the letter. "The rebels could have been friends of mine had they not touched Haense, I fear it is inevitable now. The Rebels die tonight."
" There was little chance of the leaders of Haense joining the rebellion as it was through avarice and treachery which skewed the relationship between Courland and Haense, it remains so that such sins could be traced to both sides, and even now. . . both seek to destroy one another in an irony that I had thought Humanity would recognize. I can only hope that more righteous voices and better leaders will arise from this fallout." Hamelin speaks out loud to himself seemingly as he read the declaration.

No. The thing I was playing wasn't really killable. That was kinda the point behind it. I agree if I had been playing a Wraith, I should have corrected myself if I was wrong, but I was playing something entirely different, and the guy literally refused to accept that his golden sword wasn't blowing me out of the water.
Lemme make you items, I make the best ******* items
Anyway on topic here, I just think the ranking system is more of a headache than a life-saver
I think tokens would be nice to give OOC/IC prestige
The other ideas are fine
Encourage other ET members to do the same, have some kind of small hub that could serve as a repository for ET members to store event-related items. A better consistency and more activity for the ET will only make the server better. Work directly with nation leaders and reach out to them, even smaller leaders of communities should be the right way.
Likewise, leaders of roleplay communities must seize on the opportunity to utilise the ET to help add further depth to the roleplay of their communities

“I kneel to no man.”
The words of Lucien, High Pontiff, upon the Kaedreni court’s tribute to the newly proclaimed King in the West, dated 1413.
“ What is your life?”
“ My honor is my life. “
“ What is your fate?”
“ My duty is my fate”
“ What is your fear?”
“ My fear is to fail”
“ What is your reward?’
“ My salvation is my reward”
“ What is your craft?”
“ My craft is death”
“What is your pledge?”
“ My pledge is eternal service”
Audwin Wolter, an Ensign of the Order of Saint Peter, who died with full honors in the Imperial Johannesburg Incident of 1592
“
Shadows swept through the heavy morning fog, nothing could fill the aching emptiness left in their hearts. A blanket of fire enveloped the city of Aldersport, coursing through it like a tidal wave which scorched stone and wood alike.
A lone figure stood by an open window, his features illuminated by the sunlight. He wastes no time in mourning, as a distant bell resonates in deep somber tones as though it knows such pain. A loop of rope swings slowly in an ambient breeze. Taunting him, calling him to join his brethren amongst the seven skies. He’d look away with turbulent eyes.
“In death, justice will be dealt”
As sunshine peeked over the dilapidated tile roofs, a longing silence engulfed the towns near Aldersport. Faces familiar and hardy propped up parchments on the noticeboards, departing before the rancid air could overwhelm them.
“To perish in the fire of battle, our brethren echoed a spirit that has stretched from a time of yonder and showed that our people did not merely spat hollow words. However, with a heavy heart, I must implore that no further blood should be spilled, our people has suffered far too much in this lifetime and we have lost an entire generation.
It grows on me the realization of the unusual character of this occasion, our people have been at war many times before and it has asked and received countless sacrifices from its sons and daughters. These dead know nothing of what remains today, but these stricken and charred bodies are but the clay tenements once possessed of souls which flamed in patriotic devotion, lighted new hopes for the future and in their sacrifices sped on to accuse autocracy before the court of eternal justice
Never a death but somewhere a new life; never a sacrifice but somewhere an atonement; never a service but somewhere and somehow an achievement. These had served, which is the supreme inspiration in living. They have earned everlasting gratitude, which is the supreme solace in dying
They acted in righteousness, to those that us that remain, should never hesitate to commit to.
To the Emperor, and others which uphold the Empire. I beseech that a universal pardon should be finally given and rest to finally return to these lands. Those that remain are petitioned to stay true to Imperial law, and remain faithful to their loyalties in order to hold their swords only for the defense of the Empire”

Hamelin reads over the document lightly before nodding in affirmation, minding little for such official trivialities as he concentrates instead on pragmatic work on the ground.
