Not wanting to necro this thread for no reason, however I enjoyed reading it, it brought up many Ideas I will surely use in the future! If more people did this, that would be many more great role-players.

I agree, Talking is better then just wanting to get someone banned. It kind of looks bad on your behalf if you start creating Ban-Reports of almost every flaw you see. People would see that, and not want to roleplay with you, mainly out of fear of getting a Ban Report.. A really great person once wrote: "Why can't we be friends"

I have been on other minecraft roleplay servers for long period of times, getting to know communities and roleplaying with them. I have played Pathfinder Dnd, a fair amount of rolepay goes into that. I also been a couple other roleplaying servers outside of minecraft, however Minecraft Roleplay Servers are my main source of Roleplay. Have you ever been on other Roleplaying Servers?:- I have. I would list them, however I don't know how favorable of stating them would be, I would sadly say a few them I have been on would be considered laughing stocks in your eyes. Have you applied to this server?:- I have not, this is my first time. How did you hear about us?:- By word of mouth.. Your reputation in the Minecraft Roleplaying community hopefully precedes you. How do you think the server will be like:- I hope the server has a good roleplaying community. I am looking for a server in which I will fall in love with, and enjoy the community, and the roleplays we have. What's your favorite rule / the rule you agree with the most?:- "Metagaming and powergameing of any kind are not allowed" This has to be my favorite rule. I have seen much of this, practically everywhere I go. however having in your rules, stating it is not allowed states your server will not have anything to do with it, and will act swiftly, and quickly Definitions What is roleplaying:- Roleplaying is pretending to be a character in another place/realm/time. It is to have fun, creating a story, to relieve stress, or other things. Roleplay is a hobby, and is fun to do. "the acting out or performance of a particular role, either consciously (as a technique in psychotherapy or training) or unconsciously, in accordance with the perceived expectations of society with regard to a person's behavior in a particular context." Is a common description of it upon looking at a dictionary. What is metagaming:- Metagaming is using Out of Character information for Roleplay. Like, I megadonkey In character learned that Jon was going to steal sally's apples. I tell sally oocl'y that jon is coming to steal her apples, and she acts accordingly to that. Me and Sally metagamed.. Sally did not know icly and had no way to know what jon was going to do. megadonkey had metagamed because he had intentions of sally to use it as well, If I hadn't told her, she wouldn't have metagamed. What's Powergaming:- to me, powergaming is forcefully getting your way in rp. To dodge all the attacks in a roleplay fight, or to be way over powered, doing things your character wouldn't naturally be able to do. In-Character information What is your character called?:- Johnny J Jameson What race are they? ( and sub-race ):- Human, the Subrace of Southerons What sex are they?:- Johnny is most assuredly a man How old are they?:- He would be a middle aged human. Not young, but not old. Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore while writing):- Johnny J Jameson never had a good childhood, however no one can claim he had a bad one either. It was decent, growing up in the settlement of Kralta, and living the life as a normal child. He had little friends growing up, for many thought he was strange. As he got older, more mature, and more capable, he decided he wanted adventure, to see the world, and to actually live. A War turned the corner, and he took that as a sign. Johnny joined in such war, sighing up to an army and fight for the Empire. The war, however, did not end well for Johnny. Though he survived, one cannot say the same about his mind. The war had caused him to drink, to further mess up his mental state, constantly seeing flashbacks of battles he had been in, and fighting situations. Upon returning to Kralta, he had met with an old childhood friend, who seemed to be sharing the same luck he was in. Using his childhood friend to keep in touch with himself, Johnny J Jameson had found a meaning in life, well, at least a reason not to spiral out into mental chaos. What are they like? (personality):- He is a nice guy, or tries to be. Some might see him as a fool, and compare him nicely to a lunatic. He would help out a stranger in heart beat. He treats his enemies coldly though, one moment you could be his friend, and the next, you would be in a list of people he full heartedly hates. What are their ambitions?:- His ambitions is to survive, have fun, and to make himself known throughout the lands! ( In which he will probably fail in ) Do they have any special skills?:- He had a knack of finding ways to survive many situations, including Hunger, trolls, dwarves, elves, trees, demons, and godly men. Other then that, all he has is his charming personality. What are their weaknesses?:- He gets confused a lot, and is not very likeable. Most people would pass him off as a fool, and walk away. Give us a description of how they look (Not a screenshot yet!)?:- Johnny is fairly dirty, his breath stinks, his clothes are old, his boots are torn apart. He has gaps in his teeth, where teeth should be, and is almost constantly grimy, greasy. His hygiene is not very good, however he attempts to look as nice as he wants. Under all the dirt, slime, and hair, is the possibility to be attractive, however no one will notice, they are too busy holding their noses, or shooing him away.
