  1. The first time that Lyanna allowed herself to fall into tears was the night her father's killer was burnt. She shook with rage. Rage and fiery indignation. Then she counted the minutes until her eyes dried, and went to read her studies.

The second came only for a cruel and passing moment; the loss of a sister, who will draw breath as a stranger from then on. She closed her lips tight, her face as typically gaunt as her ancestor's, and stood at loss for what to do.

The depiction of Cyrus, sobbing in the corner after falling for the White-Knight trap.

The roads had continued to be plundered, for good reason, and after wiping the roads clear of Imperial insurgents, the AIS had concocted a plan to draw more Orenians out of their city! With this in mind, a lone dame was sent up to the gate to exert her feminine wiles, crying of a tragedy from a singular bandit; in typical white-knight fashion, the soldier known as Cyrus had quickly rushed out of his city in an attempt to save the dame! Perhaps he thought this as his clear way of managing to court a female.

There is a simple decision to be made here, come and negotiate a ransom for this Imperial Captain, or he will be slaughtered. You have a few saints hours.

Eleanor's Old Mother sends a letter to the young Duchess, the woman's eyes glazed with age yet her smile ever pulled to a taut line of amusement.

“Before I met your father, the Privy had recently decided away with the Emperor Antonious to pave way another of Pertinax. Certainly, you can deal with his son, who has forgotten that he fights with the forces that Marna did when the war of the Two Emperors Occured.”  The old woman had written in her sealed letter, “And we certainly recall how that war ended.”

    1.  The Duchess of Morsgrad opens the assembly with the topic of Trade with the Rubernites. She inquires for the opinions of the estates on such a matter.
      1. The Duchess describes the current trade as such:

She details that trade deals were opened four months prior, and has so far supplied the Duchy with 31 crates of grains and 10 crates of meat products for the price of approximately 13 crates of iron. She inquires for the opinions of the estates on such a matter.

The floor is thereby opened up to the estates for enquiries.

The Patrician of Alstreim raises a question in regards to items that Rubern wishes to further offer.

The Duchess Replies that they have so far supplied grain, meat, horses, vegetables, and alcohol. They have not tested the quality of the horses, yet.

The Chief of Faretto states that the tavern would appreciate more alcohol supplies.

The Chief of La’Vasseiur states that a boy named Eimar works the stables, and can aid in testing the quality of the horses.

The Patrician of Vilac states that the military requires more supplies of beef and pork for the excursions and skirmishes they undertake.

The Duchess replies that she will reach out to Eimar in regards to his services, and will travel with him in the future in regards to trade deals for Horses. She acknowledges the Chief of Faretto and Patrician of Vilac in regards to their demands. She also states that should Rubern not have the goods that the Duchy needs, she will be open to expanding their trade deals to other nations.

        The Topic is closed.

    2. The Duchess of Morsgrad states that the Minister of Trade, Qaz, has informed her that he has conducted meetings with Lesser Lord that would be pleased to swear fealty to the Ducal Throne of Morsgrad. However, she details that the Lord and two other states are unwilling to open trade routes due to the published laws of slavery within Morsgrad.
      1.

The floor is thereby opened up to the estates for enquiries.

The Chief of La’Vasseiur inquires as to what part of the laws created apprehension for the Lord and States.

The Duchess explains that they do not like the culture of slavery. She further states that the Minister of Trade proposes a solution through the use of indentured servitude and contracts of servitude. He states that those within such situations would not be considered equal to the citizens of Morsgrad, but the change of name would be rid of the negative connotations from the term slavery.

The Chief of La’Vasseiur further inquires on the limitations that these contracts would bear.

The Duchess states that this proposed system is to take over the current system of slavery. However, future and current slaves will receive the right to food, water, and shelter; things that were noted as privileges rather than rights of slaves, prior to the amendment

The Patrician of Vilac expresses his agreement with the amendment.

The Chief of Faretto and Patrician of Alstreim follows his agreement with their own, with the Chief of Faretto stating to give the Slaves the Rights of Pets, as well.

The Chief of La’Vasseiur implores for a way that slaves may buy their freedom, proposing further that they may purchase such from the Government.

The Duchess disagrees with such, as the government will not meddle with the properties of their citizens, lest said citizens are breaking the law.

A man inquires as to the location of the speedwagons, and if the group has acquired a new building. He expressed his intent to inspect their hold, for suspicious behavior. He states that he has been granted permission from the Duke for an inspection to occur.

The Patrician of Vilac advises a secret operation rather than a forceful inspection.

The Duchess prohibits him from going through with such an inspection and states that he does not have the power to do so as they have broken no laws within the Duchy.

The Duchess inquires for the agreement of the Estates in regards to the denouncement of Slavery in favour of indentured servitude within Morsgrad

The Chief of Faretto, Lyall, Fiscere, Edvardsson and Patriciants of Tiber, Vilac and Alstreim are in agreement to such amendments

        The Chief of La’Vasseiur abstains.

        Petition passed

    3. The Chancellor of Morsgrad, Augustus Vilac, states that he was approached by Krugmar, an ally of Morsgrad. A considerable amount of orcs have been stirring dissidence within the city; and according to Korgahk’Gorkil, they have been brainwashing children. The Orc further expresses his desire, as such, to ascend the AIS from a defensive alliance to a military alliance

      1.

The floor is thereby opened up to the estates to offer their insight.

The Chief of La’Vasseiur inquires as to what the brainwashing entails. He expresses his distaste towards the Orcish race, and states the ambiguity of the situation creates apprehension.

The Patrician of  Vilac inquires whether Morsgrad will be fighting with the orcs or for the orcs.

The Chancellor of Morsgrad states that it will be a fight for the orcs, as they are weakened afterwards of the recent wars. He states that a coup will likely occur upon the Orcish Nation, and expresses great respect for the Rex Burbur’lur.  He further explains that the Rex has fought alongside Norland prior to this, as an ally to the Crown of Renatus during the War of the Two Emperors. He thus turns to the estate, still, in the matter of committing the forces of Morsgrad to this potential conflict.

In addition to this, he states that Morsgrad will have to aid them regardless if they are attacked first -- due to the nature of the defensive alliance.

The chief of La’Vasseiur re-states his adamant notion to learn more upon the situation before further commitment to the cause.

The Patrician of Tiber agrees upon Supporting the Orcs

The Chief of Faretto states that the Faith and Clan will not support the orcs.

        The Patrician of Vilac abstains

The Chief of La’Vasseiur concurs and expresses disagreement.

The Duke of Morsgrad expresses his lack of desire to be called to war. The Chief of Edvardsson exercises a veto, Morsgrad will not further involve themselves until more is known

        Petition fails.

    1.  Constantine is called before the estates, to testify as a witness to the threat of the Voidkyn.
      1. Constantine petitions the Duke to join the Coalition of the Council of Fenn and the Imperial Junta of Adrian I Sarkozy.

He describes the Voidkyn as a global threat that seeks to destroy Arcas and infest it with blight, as is currently occurring within the southern lands of Arcas. He states that as seen within the attack of Curon, it has begun to set its sights on northern Arcas.

He continues by stating that he has evidence to suggest that the defeat of a ‘Source’, by which he defines as a leader of the Voidkyn by the name of Ukrathis, will prevent the upcoming Armageddon. He claims this Voidkyn to be the brother of the infamous  ‘Mother’, of whom made an appearance within the attack of Curon.

The Scientist Styxius is named as a source of whom predicted the Voidkyn’s first incursion. The First Incursion was apparently repelled through the unity of nations. Styxius further claims that the defeat of Ukrathis will lead to the acquiring of a stone, of which powers his tower that hosts the source of Voidkyn, and thus prevent imminent armageddon.

The floor is thereby opened up to the estates for enquiries.

The Patrician of Alstreim voices his concerns, concluding that he does not care for it. He concludes his point by stating that it is the business of Magi, and not the concern of the common man.

Constantine Replies that the Magi are attempting to solve the imminent threat themselves, yet still they are lacking in success and manpower.

The Duke of Morsgrad agrees with the Patrician of Alstreim, inquiring the need to shed the blood of his people; not believing in the threat to his homeland.

Constantine reminds those present amidst the gathering that this is a grand opportunity to prove to military prowess of Mordsgrad to the nations of Arcas, an opportunity that allows for the Dukedom to overshadow that of Curon. Constantine further implies that the next attack, should the lowlanders fall, will be upon Mordsgrad itself.

The Chief of Kaedric protests his statement, claiming Morsgrad has nothing to prove to anybody and that if anything attempts to strike at our walls then they shall fall in droves.

The Chief of Faretto makes a statement akin to The Chief of Kaedrics, adding that it is for the Magi to deal with.

Constantine repeats his points in regards to the prevention of doom. However, he adds the notion that the attack will originate from the skies and within Voidkyn crystals.

The Chief of Kaedric petitions Constantine to bring forth one of the beings to present them at his earliest convenience.

Constantine states that the Voidkyn are not impossible to kill, but their numbers infinite. He describes them as beings created by the Energy of the void, formed within an instant.

The Chief of Faretto questions why the so called “Infinite” numbers of Voidkyn have not already consumed the entirety of the continent - also arguing the squandering of forces and effort in fighting a force that has no consequence to death.

Constantine reasons that this is due to the nature of the ‘Mother’, in which she must infiltrate the northern lands before such an occasion is plausible. However, lesser agents known as ‘Redkins’ are known to attack regardless.

The Duke of Morsgrad demands a cease of the round-about argument, calling a vote on the matter.

Unanimous decision, with not a single Chieftan - or patrician voting in favour of the petition.

        Petition failed.

    2. The Duke of Morsgrad asks the chieftans & patricians their thoughts upon the Curonite ban, issued in ‘Writ of Curonic Prohibition’
      1. The floor is thereby opened up to the estates to offer their insight.

The Chieftans & Patricians unanimously agree that they are not vassals of the Imperium, nor does any treaty with them call for an open border - and thus may admistrate their city as they desire.

The Duke of Morsgrad, announces that an Imperial envoy is expected to arrive upon their city after the feast - in which he shall raise the concerns of the estates.

    3. The Duke of Morsgrad poses the query as to the legality of clan levies.
      1.

The floor is thereby opened up to the estates to offer their insight.

The patrician of Tiber and Renault stands firm against the notion, in which the Patrician of Renault further states that there is a danger to clan levies when soldiers are not held to the same standards as the city guards.

The Chieftan of Kaedric offers the suggestion of a centralised military in place of clan levies; the rest of the present Chieftans & Patricians agree with this statement.

The Duke of Morsgrad, decrees that a legal writ shall be published outlining the practises pertaining to clan levies based upon their answers.

    4. The Duke of Morsgrad poses the query as to the current standing tax-rate of Morsgrad. The current standard is set as 10 for homes, 20 for shops, and 30 for clan halls.
      1.

The floor is thereby opened up to the estates to offer their insight.

The Patrician of Kaedric poses that the tax rates are too low in correspondence to the current demand; the rest of the present Chieftans & Patricians agree with this statement.

The Duke of Morsgrad agrees, noting that the demand for homes are high and resulting in limited space being available. The tavern owner confirms his words in the notion that the tavern’s bachelor rooms are filled.

The Chief of Kaedric advises him to raise the taxes for homes to at least 20. He is met with agreements from the Patrician of Renault and the Chief of Faretto.

The Patrician of Alstreim agrees to the raise, as he claims it is of little importance to him.

The Duke of Morsgrad announces that there shall be an expansion to provide more homes within the city.

Unanimous decision to raise the tax rates by 10 marks per level.

        Petition passed.
