More importantly, I would urge you to seek refuge in the Canon, and not throw away the very structures by which it was created. Our Holy Church was started by His Exalted Horen, and he passed down the responsibility of teaching the Canon to his successor, and his successor to his successor’s successor, and so on and so forth. In your hubris you have decided that His Exalted Horen was not of sound mind and body to create this structure, and ensure its longstanding understanding of his word. You insult not the Church, but the very notion of Canonism itself.

 

That being said, I pray that you find your way out of ignorance. There are many women who are capable of reading, doing complex mathematics, and engaging in thoughtful discussions about scripture and its longstanding effects on society as a whole. However, I am unaware of how Pertinaxi sympathizers treat their women, perhaps they like them this stupid. Which is indeed a shame, as even His Exalted Horen dare not chain down Julia to the shackles of his preconceived notions of Womanhood. THE ADRIAN DEFEAT

Underneath the blistering sun and its unappeasable heat, the clattering of the Renatian cavalry withdrew from the walls of Ves, their resolve firm and their spirits elated from a glorious victory. The sound of hooves upon the old, cracked paving stones enjoined with the raised voices and whoops of victory to create a beautiful chorus.

Their arrival to Adria was dreaded, but hardly unexpected. The treacherous rebellion incited by the Adrians, and their equally flighty accomplices, had insulted the Throne and the honour of the Renatians - vengeance was demanded, and the loyal soldiers were only too happy to bring its hour closer.

The Renatians marched against a force double their magnitude, spilling the blood of the enemies and losing men in return across the open plains and great fields. However, only one side could be triumphant. With GOD’s grace, Imperial forces repulsed that of their enemies, leaving them with no men to defend their recreant practices. The corpses lay, piled across the road, no succour given to their burial or final rites. Everywhere the fallen Adrians were surrounded by crows, fallen to peck at their discarded entrails.

Their loss was verily pitiful, costing them a pair of their scheming leaders; two men of House Ashford de Falstaff, once revered and respected men, now disgraced by their aimless lust for power.

The Adrian populaces’ numerous accounts of perfidy will be never forgotten. As this force was punished, so shall all who raise arms against the Empire until they come, cloth in naught but ashes and laying upon their knees in supplication.

Within the ensuing chaos and clashes of steel that preceded the final soldier’s death, one soldier could be heard ushering out sweet words with a light smirk:

“The 86th Grievance.”

"First you rally behind the men that butchered my family, now you seek to destroy them. Make up your minds, damn you." Amelia Philippa shudders.

"Poor John, they did not even go to him and instead chose a Marna."

"See, I knew that the Church had always been biased towards Haense. They didn't say anything until it was convenient."

Amelia declares, waving her hands in  amusement.

Amelia sips her drink with her nephew, John Alexander. “A weak move. At least Aurelius used blades when he destroyed an Empire.” 

Ilae gives a thumbs up. 

Amelia kicks him out of the Palace. 

“Marton, let's build a dragon statue on the region--“ Amelia shouts to her cousin, placing her hands on her hips as she then contemplates a new retirement spot. ”I need more sight-seeing options.”

In retort to an era of strife and division, arrived one whose purpose came to be the unity of Man. Aurelius I of the House of Horen, the first Emperor of Man, came to the land cursed with discord to restore the might deserved to mankind. Under his banner, we have enjoyed prosperity; and so we must acknowledge the one who bestowed upon us this possibility, the possibility of unity, through the celebration of his life.

Thus, the Imperial Palace of Helena opens its doors in celebration of our first Emperor. A ball shall be held in memory of Aurelius I, known to be the Aurelius Day Remembrance Ball of 1714. The Imperial Family invites all to commemorate this momentous occasion.

The theme of this event is a masquerade. All participants are encouraged to attend with their countenance adorned with a mask. Those in attendance should dress to impress, donning fine silks and their house’s own colours; If one were to dress inappropriately, they would be denied entry.

2.  Alvar Rurik shall be recognised as the High Chief of the Rurikid and the Bulwark of the Red Faith.

3.  Alvar Rurik and his fief shall adhere to the commandments of ‘The Reign of Antonius’, as any other peer of the Empire should.

4.  The Earldom of Nordengrad shall persist with their current form of succession - a moot. The Emperor, as the reigning King of Norland, shall receive a vote at any moot.
