The University of Vaelya is a medical institution that teaches future doctors, field medics, and nurses. It is an IRL month course of study. In some cases this can last a month to a month and two weeks. The medical course follows the guides the following syllabus:

The institution offers a certification that aligns with the medical degree: Ancient Elvish. This class is a choice and not a requirement for graduation. It does earn one a certificate upon graduation (RP ITEM).

Note: Should one choose to learn elvish without the pairing of a medical degree, the too may graduate with a degree in Ancient Elvish. 

The University of Vaelya is Harry Potter inspired. Meaning that your character will be sorted into a ‘house’ that aligns with them specifically. We do this to sort you with future roommates (optional), have school competitions, and give you the opportunity to earn points for your respective house. To the Inquisitor Eternal

As came the calling of the Inquisitor Eternal, she knew it was time for her penance. It was the sound of a mighty roar; a letter came into her shanty in guise of the recent events of hatred and acts of violence. She pondered the notice in hand, surveying a map to find who she was looking for. Though the man she sought was on a hunt for Xannites. Setting out for her cog, the sails dropped and the tankards filled with nordic ale. With this, the ship set sail and began to head into the northern direction of the oceanic expanse.

Weeks past and her travels came to a halt; magma bubbled and boiled as she headed through gravel and granite. Her body and armour covered in soot and coal, the mountain-top stood with some egregious creature wielding a mighty weapon. She stared into the kingly dragon, and the kingly dragon stared back. “What is needed, child?” The dragonkin pondered; a drakaar then spoke booming its tyrannical voice from within the blade. “Look at her, how grim and ugly mortals can be.” It commented.

Rowan craned her head up, staring hesitantly, beads of sweat forming across her forehead. “I have come to repent. Though fallen and lacking responsibility, I come to seek death. Honorable death.” She answered, keeping her eyes locked into the Inquisitor’s infernal orbs. 

The dragonkin halted, and so he brought his longsword into the air. “You are honorable, herald of the Titan. Failure, you may have been. Death may do you part. It was the great lord of the Titan who will break down the heavens, and so too shall I bring his penance to you.” He stated; the Inquisitor Eternal complimented his words with authority and command. A scoff was heard from the blade, pulsating with some malevolent energies of darkness. 

“Let my death not tarnish my name, and let it show my loyalty to Azdromoth. Though before my death is served, present this parchment to the Council for review.” She passed over a scroll within a bottle. As the Inquisitor knew his role in Azdromoths court, he stared hesitantly. Eventually, the dragonkin brought the bottle back and Rowan took to her knees.

“O’Great father, Titan watching over us. Salvage her soul from the world. Spread your wings and fly, young Laraethryn.” The dragonkin prayed, and so he brought the burning sword towards the nape of the woman, lacerating her head. It rolled into a pit of burning magma, flaring up into a plume of smoke.

A letter to those relevant,

I am the blood of Laraethryn, one loving and caring of my family and our kin. I lived for the Titan and though I was unable to provide much, I died knowing it was as a herald; repenting under the name of the path of a dragon.

To many, I brought issues. As a Laraethryn, I lived under Haelun’or to protect my family. It was my secrecy as herald that held me back in my duties, something that should not be used as an excuse. To this I ask for forgiveness.

Eventually, I came to find traitorous informants in the ranks of the nephilim. Haskir and Thalon Nullivari. The Kharajyr has exposed me on multiple occasions as herald of Azdromoth. Thalon also confronted me about this. They are both sinners and against our blood and the name of our Great Titan. 

Please, in my death, find justice in ending this treason against the Archdrakaar. I would also like to thank you all for caring about me in my times of need, whence I wept in your arms.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

         Alchemy

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

The pursuit of intermixing herbs and other botany to create a reagent of Alchemy. Botany is a fundamental of alchemy. It starts from the breakdown of the herbs from their base signs, symbols etc. to assemble concoctions. One must use a recipe that is forged to produce potions. Each potion contains redlines and can be life altering / harmful / beneficial. This makes it more evident to know how and why some crafted potions are ingestible, injectable, impactable, and how many other products of alchemy function. Alchemists utilize present and learnt knowledge to properly make use of all signs and symbols more efficient. 

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

In short, yes. It’s a mold of a subdivision that has “core potions” that usually pertain to general knowledge. Whereas other subdivisions must be sought out and learnt through roleplay i.g. Infernal alchemy, black alchemy etcetera. Although rarely done, it is known to be obtainable by few. The subsections of the alchemy feat require an accepted feat application. 
 

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

Sounds of boiling water surfacing and scents of chemical agents fill up the fantical-esq laboratory. Rowan grasps a vial with the intent of removing a herb. The woman’s gloved hand carefully sets the botany to a glass cutting board. Lady Laraethryn takes three fingers to slide across the contents of an already open jar. 

One may notice that ancient symbols and words are engraved to label the interior. The paste-like compound is smeared whilst the girl’s eyes scan a recipe that scribes material alphabet. After an allocated amount of time, Rowan brings the tail-end of the herb over a black wax candle. She wraps her secure digits around the wax stem and meets it to a rakir- to engross it alight. A putrid scent arrays the room that leads the woman to temporarily gag and eventually open up a window; airing out the area.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Rowan’s walk comes to a slow halt at the side of her scholar. “Try twisting your wrist. Make use of the pestle tools and they will work with you, oem’ii.” The elfess’ ears flick with the grinding sound of quartz. She places a hand unto the disheartened student’s shoulder as if to give non-verbal support.

“Now you must pour the liquid in and wait for it to set into a cool temperate. It will become paste-like to the touch, almost akin to bread dough! Though you mustn’t eat this as it is known to be lethal.” The youthful woman watches her pupil follow each instruction and watch the chemical regents take effect. After the allocated amount of time, the scholar uses a spoon to feed it into a skinny glass vial. The color shifts from tan to a blood scarlet.

“Now.. analyze, question, and write down what you see. It may seem tedious, but it is relevant. You never know what information will come to fruition, dear.” The Laraethryn hands the scholar a dove quill and coffee-stain colored parchment. 

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

My first act is to send a friendly yet informal message on discord highlighting the mistake and showing them the proper way to roleplay the crafted potion. Also linking them with the necessary lore to ensure they understand how to follow it. If the student were to respond in a way that was out of my control, I would ask the ST for support/ to enter the matter.

Mother’s who grieve, children who play, and men seeking vindictive vengeance. It was as if they gave an unknown reminder. The following missive is sent to the Rex of Krugmar and Dura’Gurak. As well as a copy to remain for evidence in the Vaelyan government temple. If one were to read, it would state:
 

“This legally imposed spatial exclusion of banishment is a consequential decree. The defendant, Shanka’Yar,  will face exile for the entirety of their natural life from the Province of Vaelya and all their entities. The War Nation of Krugmar hereby agrees to  a neutralization between resultive parties. A Krugzmas Eve Gift Exchange in Vaelya

Every season the realm gathers in different areas  in harmony to celebrate Krugzmas. It is no different for the Province of Vaelya. To commemorate, the High Princess dispatches couriers throughout the city in regard to the citizens of Vael. A letter sealed with wax is embellished with a serpent. Gold is procured in the crevices to make out the sigil clearly. If one were to crack the adhesive, they would find a lavish letter inside. It interiors red, green, white, and gold; a miniature gift of mistletoe and holly hang from the top- emitting favorable holiday scents. Scribed into a singular form with fine calligraphy is as written: 

“It is with honorable veneration to invite you to write to the Palati of Vera. I ask that you let father Krugzmas know what your materialistic wish is for this holiday season. Let it remain humble and within reason. For one of his little helpers, just like yourself, will trade letters. All in effort to secure your desire. We shall gather around the tree in the square and exchange gifts! There will be hot cocoa, gifts, Krugzmas carols, and dancing. My family and I cannot wait to share this moment with you all. Okeonvelo! [[Vaelyan translation: may the oceans bless you.]]

@NotEvilAtAll Attacking what little staff that actively tries to help settlements is not going to get anywhere, nor proves that we're mature enough to confront the issue without having to drag others down. 

As a settlement leader I personally understand the frustration. Yet, Laeonathan has been one of the few who I've watched actively fight for us to have a chance. He's also done a lot of work with me  behind the scenes that not everyone is entitled to be privy. The sad truth is that we aren't entitled to what we have. We need staff  in order to achieve the next step forward in this process. So rather than shooting yourself in the foot, why don't we analyze the bigger picture; getting help. Not blame shifting and tossing petulant accusations.
