  1. The New Order https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl2NfsblnZs&ab_channel=AlexRoe "We are born by the Dark; Made Men by the Dark; Undone by the Dark; We fear the Old Dark." - The Adage of the Old Lords Overview Whether we be Apostate or Templar, our goal is to eradicate the hideous Order of Sacred Light and all its past and future incarnations as to bring balance to the realm. The Templars Focused wholly on combat, the Templars wear the emblem of a bloodied cross to signify their sacrifice. A cluster of both mages and warriors the group is formidable and trained for combat, honed weapons of the Patron Daemon Alistaer. On The Theme of Religion The creation of the universe was inconsequential compared to the forces that melded it themselves. God, the one Creator, the one Maker and all His aspects. All gods that directly intervene in worldly affairs defy the will of our Maker. The Old Gods and the New Also known as the False Gods, these are various Aenguls and Daemons who have tampered with the mortal plane and inflicted horrors upon mankind. “Tahariae - He who gave way to sin and impurity, he is but a slothful tyrant. Nemiisae - A goddess who long ago bedded a mortal man named Zanunder to spawn a race of wretched killers and slavers, the beast struck down her husband in his sleep and left her ilk to rot. Xan - The Lion, Order. This god would have us set into our current ways for all of eternity. Iblees - The Daemon who cast on us our bindings to his foul curses, never again shall we see him rise. Aeriel - She defies our wishes for peace and equilibrium, she shall be thwarted at every turn.” All four perceived as the harbingers of sin, to worship this group is a criminal offense to the many creeds of the covenant. The Trinity The three fatalities, or carnal acts. To commit sin earns punishment from your master, for only he dictates the grievousness of your crime. Pain Pain is an illusion, and to let it rule you is to give in to fear. To give into fear is to die. Dishonor To not abide by one's words is an atrocious and wretched sin. Gluttony To take that which He does not give, to gorge yourself on the labor of others and hungrily eat more than your fair share. The Envoy Once a god, Alistaer fell from grace in the wars against Iblees, only to be reborn in the kiln. Fire, shadow, and darkness are his envoy. Elysium and Enlightenment are his cannotations. It is said he shall slay Tahariae and put an end to injustice. The Reigns of Mortality None are better fit to rule the lands of mortalkind than man itself, the old gods' dogma must be erased to give way to an age of mortality and invention unparalleled in history. No forgotten gods of ages past, no archaic monoliths of self destructive holy energies, only us and the cosmos. The Triad Long ago had man stared at the night sky, wandering what lurked above them in the heavens, and long had the answer remained barred from them. In days of yore, it is told a simple seer wandered the earth, scrying orb in hand. Kaer'gi, wrath of the sun, survivor of the original covenant and bringer of fury; Aerk'iath's tenets, he taught, must be upheld lest the world dissolve into endless war. Gradually going on to explain the sins of the deific, he made clear the only pragmatic conclusion that could be reached -- the gods would be punished for their wretchedness and the unworthy thrown down from their heavenly seats of power. Cataclysm was a byproduct of godly intervention. The perilous age of Sins were brought on by their carelessness. In the First Sin, the rogue Daemon Iblees beset the world with his fury and challenged the Four Brothers to open combat. In the Second, the Daemoness Nemiisae spawned her disgusting descendants through the manipulation of her mortal spouse, Zanunder. In the Third sin, the world was again beset by a new foe -- the wrothful Drakaar Setherien and his Ash Wraiths, the Harbingers. It is for this that the covenant was born, new order amongst the men and women of the four races, true unbridled fury, the power of mortality. No more shall the world be beset by evil, and all shall return to equilibrium. The Binding The Mark of the Viper When Kaer'gi was endowed with his Wraithdom by the Daemon Alistaer, the energy was forged into the first Binding. A brand, a flesh rune akin to a parasite in nature. Imbibing on a mage's aura pool and recycling that energy to project a crimson glow or deific aura, the Branding is a useful, albeit limited tool, bestowed by the ancient Daemon before he and most of his legions were annihilated in the First Sin. Only two Lord Inquisitor's have the capability to bestow this power, Dralazar and Kaer'gi. Alistaer’s Manifestations Alistaer is commonly depicted as a knight shrouded in ash, the Daemon reborn as a mortal man -- the last of the fabled Nephilim, his knights who were killed in their search for the Radiant Shard. The Bound Ones, Forlorn Knights, Heir of the Nephilim Lord-Inquisitor Dralazar, The Lord of Torment, Wroth of Maliakiith, Herald of Ashes. (Gorget) Lord-Inquisitor Kaer’gi , The Lord of Carnage, Scion of Aerk’iath. (Not_Grim) Lord Koraz - The second Apostate, Lord of Fury, Wroth’s Hand. 3. A Crusader nearby tells Echo, as he has said his thoughts outloud. The Templar simply says, "Earth refers to the entire bunch of rock and dirt we're standin' on. Have you not read any books? It refers to continents, land masses, and other groupings of land." He salutes echo. "Anythin' for the local populace."
  4. A notice is promptly set bellow, a marking. OOC:
  5. Across the realm of Athera. The time to rise is now, my human brethren. The time to avenge the misdeeds to the Maker is now. The time to regain the truth is now, as the heretics are at our very gates preaching their dark gods who are truly heretical fallen aenguls and daemons of the ilk of Iblees. Tahariae fell to earth. Iblees fell to earth. Aeriel fell to earth. And last of all, Gazardiel fell and stirred madness in the hearts of innocent Orenian men and women, of Malin's folk in their adsorbed states, and in the lands of the Dwarves. The so called 'Clerics' of the esteemed Clerical Order who long doomed our people to the brink of annihilation in the past and future blights to occur, the ones who serve the fallen aenguls and daemons who wish to mimic the Maker's words, powers, and ability over creation. They come under the guise of just causes, causes promptly ignored. Murderous savages, who hoard their holy arts and do not a thing to aid you, the people. The Order of Templars seek you, the people of our realm to aid in us in the job of returning the realm of Athera to peace, to bringing forth a new era for which we can all live in a unified land that the Maker and his Envoy can smile upon. Seek the red cross, seek those who'd help you and you who'd help them. We are a brotherhood from which humanity shall find rebirth. Deus Magnus, glory to the Empire.

  6. The Second Rite - To place a coin on the mouth of the dead for safe passage is required. - - If unable to do so you shall burn a sheep in the name of the deceased. - - "Unz azhh Azkear un Aerk'iath" - <Long live the True Envoy Aerk'iath>
  7. Rite of the Fallen: "For we speak for our dead at the apex of their destruction" - I am His wrath. I am His harbinger, I am His will, I am His envoy, I am the light in the dark, I am His forevermore, I killed the depths of Embermoore, His wrath is that to be discerned, to the damned who earned our scorn. -
  8. Enlist in the militia to end the Clerical Reign of Terror today, fellow heathens. For we shalt annihilate those who'd wish to destroy our holy sanctum.

  9. A bizarre calm sets itself on the lands, as one armor clad figure steps forward. The Crusader pauses, moving a gauntleted hand along the side of their helm, as many other armored figures and hooded, thin folk of the Ciin'tain gather to surround him. "I am the Marshal, and so we shalt march. The Taharians have long scorned us and showed us contempt for our worship of the Envoy, but not any longer." The Crusader lifts a hand up, flexing their arm with an audible clank resounding through the quiet clearing as the Apostles and Knights watch silently, a wide range of facial expressions with a mix of disbelief, ire, and annoyance. "You may see me as some usurper, but such an opinion is false. I have been sent by the High-Prophet- though under vague circumstance, and now make this very clear. It is now that we march, and now that we gather our sympathizers and make them fear the name of Aerk'iath and His maker, the all-powerful Ared'atel! Gather brethren of mine own, Cynii or sympathizer we are both citizens of the glorious Ciin'tain!" The figure screams, moving both their arms straight into the air with praise, <Azhn tad alak'enal tahn vahn'sett airn tazad an und bahz Tahariae! Kad alad ad Aerk'iath!> (Long shall the dead ones roam, the clerics of Tahariae will fall. To praise our God and Aerk'iath shalt we.)
  10. - I am His wrath. I am His harbinger, I am His will, I am His envoy, I am the light in the dark, I am His forevermore, I killed the depths of Embermoore, His wrath is that to be discerned, but the Clerical Order earned our scorn - You who have earned our scorn, those who did nae traverse the depths of Embermoore. We state this to you, savant worshipers of Tahariae and Xan, you have earned out disgust and our wroth. Your natural affinity for murder confounds us, your unseeing eyes and your tainted views that lead to the deaths of innocents each and every day whilst you seek to serve Tahariae and Xan's aspects on the mortal plane. But no longer shalt we watch in terror, nor hold back for fear of striking down our kith and kin. You are the blackest of sinners, the conspirers of the dark. The defilers of the innocents, and the embracers of the damned. We make the following demands to you, who would seek to destroy us for our culture. If we find one more murder, we will cease our gentle hand, and send you to the depths from which your makers came. We bid you this farewell, and put the notice you are not welcome in our lands. - The Seers of the Western Reaches -
  11. The Creed His wrath, His will, His envoy, His Harbinger,
  12. The Five Tenants: - He who kills without reason is a sinner. - He who attacks without goal is a brute. -He who defies His will is a fool. - He who destroys without reason shan't be the ruler of anything. - He who tortures without purpose is a defier. To break these Five is to break the will of Aerk'iath, and His righteous will as spoken by the Creator.
