Electrical Evocation

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

Electrical evocation is one of the five elemental evocations. It works like any other voidal evocation where in you envisions what you’d like to pull forth from the void. In this case you envision lightning or sparks, the feel, the sound, the effects of it. You begin to form it in the void through sheer power of thought before drawing it forth into the world and casting it. It comes in a few different forms when talking about electrical evocation. Both sparks and bolts. Sparks are smaller and tend to be less deadly than a bolt alone but you might stream together many sparks at one to hit someone. Bolts, while not seeming versatile, can actually come in a few different forms. You can cast from the hand, aiming the bolt at someone within sight or you might even be able to summon forth a deadly lightning strike from the sky in the form of a calldown.

This evocation tends to be one of the more deadly ones, balanced by the fact that it takes a while to build up and cast the stronger spells. Lightning bolts, if charged for long enough, can fry someone in a single shot and cause massive burns and render a foe unconscious. Streams of sparks might induce similarly terrible burns and shocks. Calldowns are just larger bolts that come from above. THey’re generally inaccurate though they’re liable to instantly kill someone should they hit.|

The cons of this magic come in a few ways. One such disadvantage is that the electricity is attracted to large amounts of gold and iron. If three blocks are right next to each other, the bolt will be attracted to the metal instead of it’s intended target. Similarly iron bars can stop this magic dead in its tracks as it’ll simply dissipate into the metal while other evocations might slip right by it. Finally, learning the magic is a dangerous thing. Practitioners are liable to harm themselves while practicing. Minor and even major self-inflicted burns are not unheard of while taking part in lessons and practice of this evocation.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Azdrazi are draconic beings. They come to be this way through a boon bestowed upon them by a Dragaar/Drakaar by way of a ritual. This ritual is performed by another Azdrazi typically after an aspiring azdrazi, or whelpling, completes four to six trials. After the transformation from human into a draconic being, they take on traits similar to Azdromoth. They sprout horns from their head, their skin becomes scaly and dark, and talons sprout from their fingers. Normally they grow to be up to a foot taller than their previous descendant state.
 

The key part of the ritual to make the change is a sphere called a wardren. Trials are spoken into this orb-shaped device and it keeps track of when the whelpling completes each trial. After four to six trials, decided by the Azdrazi mentoring the whelpling, one might under go their transference. This typically involved being thrown into a pyre with their own wardren. They burn alive within the flames and exit in their new state, a full fledged Azdrazi.
 

Azdrazi are able to use several abilities, more or less they might breath fire, light their weapons alight with dragonsflame (No hotter than a normal flame), and even use a sort of illusionary magic. They might hide their true forms for as long as they like lest they make use of their other abilities. This helps them to comeplete their purpose.

They tend to share a few primary purposes. The first is to find a way to free the one who grants them their boons. The second is to gather and safeguard all sorts of knowledge from those who might misuse it. Finally, they've a goal to protect mortalkind as best they can from both themselves and external, otherworldly threats.
