Yeah, the title says all. I'd like a High Elf skin for a new character. In exchange... I don't know, I'll offer 100 Minas. The character will have to be a Male high elf, and look about 48. Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is living the life of a character you have created, or someone else has created. It's like being on a stage, you play and act out the life of your character in his/her own unique story, one that you create with other people! What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the case of when you know something OOC, and then suddenly your character knows it. Just randomly knowing the location of an enemy base is unrealistic. IC knowledge is like reading a book, you don't know what happens next, so why can't your characters do the same? What is powergaming?: Powergaming is when people decide to do actions that others have no way of avoiding. It can also be something completely overpowered, like a Tier one fire mage burning down a city in seconds. For instance, a player walks up to another player. Character’s age: 18. Biography: Born a Highlander in the city of Petrus, Dean was a happy child. He played with friends, and saw wonder in every part of the world. He was happy. Well, until one day, when he was 5, Dean's parents were killed in a house fire. He was later taken in by his Uncle, Aldus, who lived in a cabin next to a forest far from Petrus. Here, Aldus performed experiments with Magic. Unfortunately, he could never manage to make his experiments successfully work. Driven by a crazy determination to get the tests to work, he never had time for young Dean. Dean never really minded, as he spent his days over at the forest, exploring, and building things like shelters and crude tools to amuse himself. Time passed, and Dean was approaching his 18th birthday. He walked to the Cabin after a day of walking through the woods, and was surprised to see the door was locked. Little did he know that his Uncle's latest experiment would be his last. After a few seconds, the Cabin exploded in a ball of purple fire! Aldus was killed, but Dean barely survived. His body, particularly his left arm, was covered in purple tinted burns. He had also suffered a major concussion. Then, the Monks saved him. They brought him to the Cloud Temple, and healed his wounds. Now there's just one problem... Dean can't remember anything about who he is, or the world around him. He left the cloud temple, and saw a large group of humans boarding a boat. Out of pure curiosity, he boarded it along with the others. There, questions filled his mind. Where was he going? Why were so many people traveling out to sea? Why the heck can't he remember his name? A stranger to an unknown land, and to himself, Dean begins his journey in the islands of Vailor. Personality Traits: Dean is very energetic, and is often quite upbeat about anything. He can be extremely eager to do anything that may make him remember who he is. He also has a good interest in all things magical. Ambitions: Dean simply wishes to remember who he is. He also wants to be a traveler, and learn many things about the world, like magic, monsters, other races, and more. Strengths/Talents: Dean, for a reason he can't remember, is good at creating makeshift tools and shelters. He is also quite nimble, thanks to his build. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Dean can no longer remember the world around him, and is usually clueless about even the smallest things. He also lacks physical strength, and can't take much of a beating. Appearance: Dean is 5'7 tall, and weighs 91 lbs. He has light blond hair, and deep blue eyes. He is usually seen wearing a white tunic, leather pants, and a ferrum gauntlet for some reason. What is powergaming?: ​Powergaming is when players perform actions that other players do not have freedom to avoid. All actions on other players must be attempts. For instance, a player has gotten into a bar fight, and then does the action of; "Roundhouse kicks the opponent in the head, instantly killing him." Character’s age: 18 Biography: Born a Heartlander in Siegrad, Dean spent his childhood living with his grandfather, Aldus, a Mage. Aldus was given entitlement to Dean's wellbeing after his parents died in a house fire. Dean usually assissted his Uncle in his magic experiments, usually his uncle's experiments either never worked, or blew up. Dean however, never minded this, for he loved his Uncle. Though it was clear that his uncle was beginning to become more obsessed with having a successful experiment, and was starting to go insane. On Dean's 18th birthday, Aldus attempted something completely idiotic. An attempt to create a portal to the Nether. Venturing far into the woods with Dean, he created the portal, and attempted to send Dean through it as a test. It was then that Dean had discovered that the portal was built, like Aldus' other experiments, unstable. As soon as Dean touched the portal, it blew up. Aldus was killed, and Dean was warped to the cloud temple. Dean was scarred from the explosion, tinting his left arm purple, and causing him to lose his memory, for better, or worse... He then stumbled into the nearest town, longing to remember who he is. Personality Traits: ​Dean is extremely hyperactive, and loves to crack jokes. He's rather eager to get into action, and help people. Though he becomes reluctant if the task given is dangerous. He is also afraid of the dark, and Daemon. For a reason he can not remember, he is interested in magic. Ambitions: He longs to remember who he is, and somehow longs to become a great Mage. Strengths/Talents: Dean has high endurance, both physically and mentally. He is rather skilled at making small makeshift tools, though can't remember why. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Dean is extremely scrawny, as a result , he lacks physical strength. He is also very clumsy when it comes to things such as forging. Appearance: Dean has pale skin, light blond hair, and an oval shaped head. His eyes are tinted purple due to his Uncle's experiments, as with his left hand. He usually wears a white shirt, leather pants and shoes , and a loose green scarf. He wears a gauntlet on his right hand almost all the time. He is 5'8 feet tall, and weighs 91 lbs.
